"Beautiful but possibly very loud - The campsite is actually very nice and has fantastic pitches right by the river. There are two large swimming pools. A great medical center and an old, not so great one. You can easily book great activities directly at the campsite. Rafting, conyoning etc. We did a lot of things and all the tours were an unforgettable experience. It's true, you can't just go shopping. The vacation could have been one of our best if it hadn't been for the road. Unfortunately, we had a pitch on the side that wasn't by the river. The other side is much more attractive for camping. You can also hear the traffic on the other side, but the pitches are much nicer. The ones right on the river are fantastic!!!! There are many people who don't mind road noise, but the motorcycle convoys that cross the road from 9 a.m. onwards annoyed me to no end. I was practically sitting on the side of the road. You also have to go to the river, the registration desk, the pool etc. via this very winding road. You can hear the vehicles earlier than you can see them. I would have liked to have known that beforehand. The rental accommodations on this side (i.e. not the river side) are great though. They are on the hill. Much quieter and very, very nicely situated. Except for the ones directly above the pool. There you can hear the water pump very loudly and it runs day and night. The staff were very nice. But also very young and inexperienced.

"Too few sanitary facilities - Well organized, but hardly any possibilities to supply yourself (always there is 9 km from a town) beautifully situated on the Verdon, friendly staff, relaxed guests only: far too weing sanitary facilities, so it is quite dingy

"Everything perfect in the pre-season - The site is beautifully situated directly on the Verdon, where you can also swim. The sanitary facilities are in very good and always clean condition. Ideal starting point for exploring the Verdon Gorge and the magnificent mountain world.

"beautiful location directly on the Verdon - but poor organization - The site is divided into two parts by a main road, we were on the part facing the Verdon. When we registered, we were allocated a pitch directly on the riverbank on request (for an additional fee), but it was already occupied. Back at the registration desk - to point out the problem (in English - because my French is not so perfect) - I was told that we were in France, that we eat, drink and SPEAK French (the campsite included a snack bar that served pizza, burgers and non-French beer). Absolutely unacceptable to me; English is a common European language. I don't speak Dutch in Holland or Belgian in Belgium either. Only the French think they still have to be an exception here - they should get out of the habit (I had to get that off my chest because it really spoiled my stay there). I remarked (in English) to another person at the registration desk that the other space offered to us was also full. We were then given a lousy parking space with deep ruts, although many other spaces (including right by the water) were still free (!?). If it hadn't been for these negative experiences, I could have imagined staying longer than one night. The offer, facilities and infrastructure of the campsite were actually ok. The sanitary facilities were ok, as I said, there was also a small store and a snack bar on site - so far ok. A tip for those who follow: choose a pitch beforehand and suggest it directly at reception.

It’s located right on the turquoise Verdon River, which winds its …way through dramatic cliffs. Your pitch is set in green surroundings – with a bit of luck, you’ll even have a view of this stunning landscape. Whether you're stopping over on your way to the French Riviera or planning to explore the Verdon Gorge – this is the perfect base. River view or a quieter spot? The site is divided into two areas: one lies right next to the busy road leading to the Verdon Gorge – so it's a bit louder there. The other stretches along the river – and that’s where the best pitches are, some even offering views of the flowing water and cliffs. If you happen to be near the road, feel free to ask for a quieter pitch closer to the river. In addition to pitches, there are plenty of safari-style rentals available on site. Cool off, play, and be amazed In summer, there’s lots going on: nature games, magic shows, archery – something for kids of all ages. There’s a great playground too. And of course, the pool is a popular spot, especially with a children’s pool for the little ones. Around the pool, you’ll find a terrace with sun loungers and parasols – ideal for relaxing while the kids splash around. Essentials on site – more in Castellane You’ll find basic groceries in the small on-site shop. For your full shopping trip, it’s best to head to nearby Castellane, where you’ll find supermarkets and bakeries. The campsite also offers pizzas and snacks, and if you want more variety, Castellane has a good choice of restaurants.
