Cleanliness on the shore, away from the beach
Directly on the street, yet quiet.
We had the impression that the place is run communally. The staff were very reserved but friendly. The sanitary facilities were always clean and adequate. Snack stands on the beach closed around 8pm and the restaurant was closed. You should be prepared for this. Water bikes are available for hire. Supermarkets... can be reached by bike or on foot. I have one point to criticize: The shore area away from the beach should be cleaned. The waste left behind by people who don't know where to put their garbage is not exactly an invitation to go fishing etc. I would stay here again if I were passing through.

Nice small, quiet place
Nice, small, tidy place. On the lake, directly on the old Reichsstraße. No. 1 location but still quiet. Very friendly and attentive welcome. At the beginning of June the adjacent fast food restaurant was not yet open. There are plenty of shops in the village and if you want to eat out I recommend the... Ristorant 777, very tasty cuisine and the prices are very modest. We've been to this campsite before in 2012, when the sanitary facilities still had the shame of the People's Republic. This year, a spanking new sanitary building has been completed. The site is not only ideal for a stopover in Masuria or the Baltic States, Schlochau itself is also worth a visit. The new market square, the castle of the Order of Knights and of course the beautiful West Prussian countryside. We will be back.
