In a natural setting, close to hiking trails and the romantic village of Saou. Familiar and uncomplicated. Inexpensive. Mostly quiet.

A bit remote if the great area 10km from the campsite is not enough. Somewhat basic sanitary facilities. No sales on site.
Aire naturel = natural place with a great view
Natural site about 300m from the romantic village of Saou and the ascent to several climbing sites. Cozy common room with stove, furniture and various cooking utensils. Especially for those who come with minimal luggage. Small cold swimming pool in the middle of nature. No bar and no shopping on the... campsite, but the quaintest stores and restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The campsite owner, Mr. Nussbaum, is Alsatian and speaks German and French. He is just as easy-going as he looks and is also very helpful and never at a loss for good tips. Occasionally there can be a lot of campers for a few days, but it is usually quiet. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
