We stayed at this active campsite for 8 days as a family with our dogs and were absolutely thrilled! Everything was really perfect - we felt welcome and comfortable from the very first minute.
The entire site is very well maintained, clean... and lovingly designed. The sanitary facilities were always in perfect condition - modern, hygienic and regularly cleaned. The paths and pitches were also tidy and well organized.
We would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the entire team: you were always warmly welcomed, lovingly served and treated in a friendly manner. You can tell that they work with passion here.
Our dogs were also welcome and well looked after - nobody looked askance when a four-legged friend was present. Very dog-friendly, which is a big plus for us as a family with pets.
The leisure activities on the site and in the surrounding area are varied: whether sporting activities, playgrounds for the children, bike rental or simply relaxing in nature - there is something for everyone here.
Conclusion: An absolutely successful vacation where everything was just right. As there are no fixed rules, some dog owners used the whole site for their dogs to run around freely (without a lead) and the dogs were also "allowed" to mark their territory on other pitches. Good advice for excursions.НегативиI can't think of any.Cozy place with great bathroomsEven the telephone booking one day before arrival was friendly and casual. This basic tone of the owner determined the entire stay of 5 days. The site is perfect: level pitches with a mixture of grass and sand, old trees, shade on many pitches, complete infrastructure with sensibly placed connections,... including for waste water, Camperclean toilet cleaning. Not forgetting the really good rolls for breakfast. But the best thing is the washrooms. In the 4 lockable cabins for each gender there is a shower + a washbasin, where you can choose whether to use the hose shower or the shower from above. Everything was clean. Unfortunately, the restaurant was already closed at the end of September.

Insider tip!A small, family-run campsite with few permanent campers and some large pitches. Almost all of these either have all the necessary connections on the pitch or are within easy reach. The site itself is located directly in the village of Purgstall, but due to the valley location it is rather on the edge,... so you don't get to see much of the village.
The pitches themselves are well maintained and partly separated by hedges. The ground on the pitches is a bit clayey and doesn't absorb water immediately when it rains.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and always available. The bread roll service (can be ordered online in advance) is great and always flawless. The restaurant has a limited menu due to Corona, but the dishes are good and reasonably priced.
Overall, the campsite has implemented the current Corona measures very well. The sanitary facilities were clean at all times. The problem here was once again some campers who didn't clean up their mess properly!
The peace and quiet on the site is unique, the small babbling brook nearby completes the overall picture. The swimming pond is a great way to cool off on hot summer days.
The campsite does not have its own supermarket, but this is not necessary as there are plenty of shops nearby. The village of Purgstall is worth exploring, but a highlight is the "Fischersteig", which is accessible in 2 ways (free of charge!).
