Over the years everything has become more and more run down and the restaurants have deteriorated even more since the change in 2023. I also feel cheated because, contrary to the website, the electricity was included in the daily rate without telling me. I... used my own gas for the fridge instead of using the overpriced shore power which was supposed to cost -.95€. Furthermore, some of the staff should undergo friendliness training.

Er waren niet veel gasten dus we kunnen geen oordeel geven over te kleine plaatsen of drukte. Het is een grote camping dus ik kan me wel voorstellen dat de situatie in het hoogseizoen anders... is. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en het sanitair in het nieuwe gebouw was modern en schoon. Met de bus ben je met de gratis Bodenseekarte in 20 min in Lindau. Heerlijk gegeten in het niet te dure Italiaans restaurant dat een beetje steriel oogt. Het zwembad was nog dicht en er waren verder geen activiteiten.

It was a shame for us that the pool was not yet in operation. The ice cream stand was always closed during the week, including the snack bar. Payment in the restaurant and pizzeria should also be... possible by credit card for such a large site. Unfortunately, detailed cycle route maps were not available, we had to organize them ourselves. There was a great bathroom, especially for the children. The only thing was that the water in the children's shower could be warmer, but maybe I didn't find... the right button.
We also found it practical that there were three different places to stop for refreshments and a playground next to the snack bar.
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. A few small suggestions: The grass pavers on the pitches should always be filled. There were a few gaps where you could easily trip over.

No light in the evening in the part where our pitch was. For the first 100-200m we were glad that there... were lights on the awnings, otherwise we would have been flying blind.

Cassette removal at wash houses primitive.The Gitz meets all the requirements to become the favorite place on Lake Constance!The Gitz is a wonderful site for a tailor-made vacation for caravans, motorhomes and also with a range of small vacation homes.
The booked comfort pitches have electricity, water and drainage at a reasonable price. The "normal" electricity consumption is included. There is no attempt to rip you off with... the additional price of 65 cents/Kw or more...
The wonderful swimming pool is not accessible in the low season because it is offered as heated. We had fantastic weather in May and would have loved to use it unheated!
The local pizzeria has probably been re-let. The original Italian family still has to get used to the German language as well as the gastronomy (beer tapping) - the pizza from the oven is successful and also reasonably priced, useful to take away!
The location within easy reach of Lake Constance can be reached in 10 hours even from Berlin by car. The bus connection to the Lindau city buses is ideal and the obligatory visitor's tax is also free. Thanks to its proximity to the highway, the location is also ideal as a one-day or multi-day stopover on the way to Italy.
Conclusion: The Gitz has the potential to become our regular place for the Lake Constance region - it was a successful vacation. You could also use all the facilities such as sanitary facilities and beer garden from the pitches. The upper sanitary building with kiosk is a bit older but very clean. The lower sanitary... building has a separate area for children. With the e-bike you are in Lindau in about 30 minutes and the approx. 100 meters in altitude are also no problem.

The site is very child-friendly. The leisure activities were good. What was not so great, however, was that two dog handlers should not do their dogs' business on the pitch, as is actually usual, but unfortunately this was not always the case, as the pitch was very busy with families with children.
