The space is divided into terraces, which is great.

Great place
The campground is a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet, and it’s great that small children aren’t allowed on the grounds. The restrooms are always clean, and the campground looks well-maintained. You can go on hikes through the adjacent forest right from the campground. The network of bike paths... is very well developed. We stayed here 20 years ago, and it has been improved since then. In conclusion, it’s a wonderful, beautiful, and peaceful campground that deserves 5 stars.

Had to pay 10 euro extra for arriving 12.30pm rather than 14,00pm even though campsite was pretty empty. soured taste
Quiet spot,
we had a lovely time here. Campsite is lovely. Hikes look very good but hotel staff unable to direct to correct information on hikes and 8km hike turned into 23km hike. Proper english translation of hikes would be an advantage.

Actually very nice
Actually a great place. Large areas, very clean sanitary facilities, quiet at night. Noisy children right next door in the woods in the morning. The shooting range can also be heard.
Optimal location, the place is easily accessible on foot.
But the biggest problem: Wifi is a disaster! At night it works,... but otherwise it constantly breaks down. The place was only about 20% occupied. The operator needs to invest here.
The gravel floor was a bit off-putting at first, but it has clear advantages in rainy weather. An awning carpet is important.
The greenery around and between the pitches looked a bit overgrown. I wanted to use the simulator, but couldn't. Two emails and phone calls directly to the operator went unanswered! I was told at reception that it wouldn't work ad hoc. That was supposed to be the bad weather program - too bad.

Dear Norbert,
Thank you very much for your detailed review. We have now been able to resolve the situation with the overloaded WiFi. A new fiber optic cable was laid directly to the campsite in winter and all guests now enjoy more powerful access.
It's a shame that the weather didn't quite cooperate,... but our reception team is always happy to provide tips for "dry" activities in the surrounding area. Our large flyer wall also has some interesting experiences in store. The flight simulator is not operated by the hotel and the dates can usually only be booked well in advance.

Quiet and beautiful
We were in Rhineland-Palatinate, Kastellaun on the CP Burgstadt Camping over Whitsun and would like to recommend it here. A very quiet and clean site. Important to know: Children are only allowed from the age of 14. The campsite belongs to the hotel next door. However, you don't notice anything of the... hotel business. We ate there once in the Greek restaurant. Apparently you can also use the sauna, but we did not. There are plenty of sanitary facilities and they are very clean. The site borders on a great forest for walking. There is a climbing garden, themed trails, barefoot path and hiking trails start right here. Although this sounds like a lot of entertainment, the forest was wonderfully quiet and very little frequented. The area is great for hiking and cycling. Kastellaun itself is 1.4 km away on foot. Supermarkets are also within walking distance. Bread rolls can be ordered.

We regularly come to this great place. Everything is perfect, except for the exclusion of children. That's not possible.

Thank you very much for your feedback. It is a pity that our age restriction led to a poor rating of the campsite, services and offers. As we point out the restriction in advance, we assume that you were aware of this and that the booking was made with your consent and without false expectations.... Our campsite is designed for peace-seeking best-agers and welcomes guests aged 14 and over. Dogs are tolerated for a fee. You can find out more about the reasons for choosing an adults-only campsite on our website. We expressly point out this requirement in advance and have welcomed campers without children since 2017.
We are aware that this step will not be met with undivided enthusiasm. However, the bottom line is that this should be beneficial to both our clientele and guests who find a much more family-friendly site elsewhere, where parents and children can have a much more fun vacation.

Very good place for a short vacation
This terraced campsite can be described as close to nature, despite the particularly paved ground. There are areas of flower meadows for insects everywhere, without the site looking unkempt!
The actual pitches, however, are equipped with fine gravel and heavily compacted. As a result, there are of course... no problems when driving on them. Not even after persistent rain! However, it is advisable to follow the advice of the operator (who camps himself) and use appropriate tent pegs.
The sanitary areas were clean at all times, even during the busy holiday weekend, as far as this is the responsibility of the operator. That some people can't behave....
I would also like to praise the showers, which are included in the price, some of which have removable shower heads and are equipped with plenty of hot water.
The surrounding area offers plenty of excursion destinations, cycle routes, forest paths to walk along, historical sights to marvel at and culinary delights to discover.
The restaurant on site is very good and it took us 3 attempts to get a table. But there are also many good alternatives in Kastellaun!
On my next visit, I'll book a flight lesson in the simulator and an evening in the sauna at the hotel next door.

Very nice campsite clean sanitary facilities bread roll service always friendly and helpful staff. This was not the last time we stayed here.

You can really switch off here - heavenly peace and quiet.
Clean pitches and well-kept sanitary facilities. The staff and boss are just great. The food in the Greek restaurant is great.

The common room, dishwashing room, everything was there. The girls at the reception were super friendly. Bread roll service. Clean sanitary facilities, everything was perfect. We will be back.

It couldn't be better
We were there for the first time with a camper meeting in February 2024. We were certainly not the last time there. Very nice staff The wash house is top clean, there is a bread roll service and a Greek restaurant on site which is highly recommended, delicious food and reasonable prices. The pitches... are very large, electricity and water at the site, and shopping facilities are within walking distance. We were there with about 47 campers, all were enthusiastic about the CP. Thanks to the operator Heiko, I registered us again straight away. There is also a hotel on site, as well as the possibility to use a flight simulator
