Everything super
Wonderfully located campsite, quiet
and a good starting point for bike tours/hikes.
I will certainly come more often over the weekend.

A very nice well-kept place, with very nice staff! The sanitary facilities are very clean and are regularly cleaned twice a day 🫶. The restaurant on the site is very tasty 😋. Always happy to return and the panorama 🏔️ist is super beautiful. Everything within walking distance.

I actually wanted to give the campsite a good rating but unfortunately I can't do this as the operator seems to be all about money. We booked online a week before our stay. Everything was quite simple. The amount is due immediately. We booked a pitch, 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog. As is sometimes the... case with children, the dog stayed at home after all. A refund for the child is unfortunately not possible, according to the reception. This would be stated in the cancellation conditions. Unfortunately this is not quite correct. They couldn't show me the exact text. The point here is that it has nothing to do with camping if I have to pay for something even though I don't use it. Very untypical for Austria. Unfortunately a great pity.

Nice location, clean wash houses but ... see disadvantages

Reception/HELP only available from 09:30 to 11:30!!! Not even by phone! When we arrived, there were 2 registered campers who could not get through the barrier because they had accidentally entered a transposed number in the vehicle registration plate. We also couldn't register because nothing was accepted online in the mandatory field "salutation". An absolute "NOGO" for a "4 star pitch". As previously mentioned "reception/help" NONE!!!
Beautiful location
Location very nice. The cleanliness of the wash houses is also very good. But we were also there in the low season! Therefore high season? DISADVANTAGES ARE MENTIONED SEPARATELY. Reception/Registration/Help????

The peace and quiet, swimming in the lake, clean sanitary facilities, only a 10-minute walk to the town center.

No shopping facilities, fortunately the SPAR market is within walking distance. Fresh water must be fetched from the sanitary building.
Very beautifully situated campsite
It was our first time here and we would love to come back. The campsite is very easy to reach and has a wide and level driveway. The location on the lake is very nice.

We can't list any disadvantages. For us, everything was fine the way it was.
A campsite in a beautiful location
It was our first time at this campsite. On our request whether we can come to the campsite from 11 am (we come from Lower Saxony and have a long journey about 10 hours) we got a positive answer, this was already pleasing. The site is in a very nice location for us and it is also very quiet on the site.... The pitches are not too big, but they are perfectly adequate for a caravan. The ground is very firm and you need sturdy pegs for the awning - plastic pegs like those in circulation don't stand a chance. However, you do need a long power cable, as stated in the description. The sanitary building is quite large and really clean. The staff cleans but it has no chance if not every adult or teenager does not attach importance to cleanliness. Whether that's in the toilet/shower area or especially in the scullery. The staff is always very challenged by such campers. (Conclusion: don't complain about uncleanliness, but speak to someone yourself if the sink for dishes and pots is left unclean or the toilet brush is not used) The staff in the office are friendly and helpful and are certainly grateful for a thank you. It is still true that as you call into the forest so it sounds back. The lake itself is beautiful and the bathing area well thought out. The whole area around the lake is really beautiful. We were only here for a week but we loved it and can and would recommend the place to anyone.

Campsite clean, nice helpful staff, shower facilities, toilet clean, camping restaurant, service nice, prices of food appropriate, little choice, but you can also go to 15min place if you want more choice.

The direct proximity to the village and the mountains

Overpriced prices
We have been coming to this site for over 9 years and after the change of ownership the prices have tripled. The owner wants to make a quick buck here, because there are no comfortable pitches, no water or waste water on the site, the electricity situation is also from the Middle Ages. The garbage cans... are overflowing and the cleanliness of the wash house leaves a lot to be desired, and the pitches have become much smaller. As sad as it is, we won't be coming here again

* Too expensive * No reservations for pitch numbers, you are allocated a pitch * New tenant only after money, no understanding for the campers * Has become drecking, garbage is always overflowing.
Was once our favorite place, now never again!
After change of tenant, price increase by more than half (approx. 68%)! No added value, on the contrary. It has become dirtier (garbage cans constantly overfilled). No more reservation of pitch numbers, allocation is done by reception. And so you can no longer reserve "your favorite spot". I'd rather... go somewhere else, where I can choose my pitch in advance and make a guaranteed reservation. And if the dogs no longer have their little swimming spot, even less attractive! You can tell at every turn that the new tenant is only interested in making a quick buck. The restaurant would have good potential but it is currently closed. It was still open in the summer and was not good and very "old-fashioned". The charm of the 70s does not attract guests. The tenant should invest the quickly earned money in modernization. Or in a permanent groundsman and good cleaning staff, because the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities also leaves a lot to be desired.
You can tell at every point that it's all about making money and not about the guests. In any case, we won't be coming back!

Imagination and reality
Change of tenant, IT support before the visit increases, personal visitor support on site decreases.
An access and exit barrier opens automatically, but requires a lot of space.
There was no light in the men's shower for around 18 hours. A sewer flushing vehicle was on site for a whole day and the toilets... in the old sanitary building had to be used for those who happened to experience this.
I could not recognize any concessions from the site management.
Our pitch was a nice spot in the second row from the lake. This was the 3rd time we had used it. Now there has been a change of tenant and it is no longer possible to request a pitch and reserve it for the next visit. In addition, the pitches will become much more expensive for the coming year.
The site is dog-friendly, but there is no longer a bathing area for dogs. (Dogs used to be able to swim at the boathouse).
For me, the price-performance ratio is clearly no longer right under the current conditions.
In prolonged wet weather conditions, the meadow pitches suffer badly and are barely passable.
It is with a heavy heart that we decide not to go back to Walchsee next year. What a pity!

Had a spot on the shore. Totally beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains. Shore pitches are big enough.

Wash houses are cleaned too rarely. Only the shore pitches offer enough space. The pitches from 3 rows upwards are far too narrow in my opinion.
14 beautiful days at Walchsee
We had a riverside pitch and therefore a fantastic view of the mountains and the Zahmer Kaiser.
The size of the pitch was sufficient.
Unfortunately, we were probably there for the last time, because if you put the prices up like that, it's outrageous.
Luckily we booked last year and paid 51 euros for... the pitch, which is no bargain because I need 25 meters of cable and the pitches have neither fresh water nor waste water.
But as I said, the riverside pitches make up for a lot.
We paid 7 euros for our dog. There is an inlet into the lake where the dog is allowed to swim. There are no other facilities for dogs on the site, not even bags, but everyone usually has their own.
If you book this year, you will pay 30 euros more for the same pitch per day. So 81 for a great shore pitch.
Some also had to lay their cables across the road, not so nice either.

Very nice panorama depending on the pitch. Food from the restaurant on site tastes good and the town center is within easy walking distance. Supermarket right next door. Hikes can be started from the campsite.

Sanitary facilities not particularly clean. The restaurant at the campsite is not very inviting, as it is more like a canteen. If you want to explore the whole lake by SUP or rubber dinghy, you have to pay a fee, which I think is a rip-off. There is no possibility to sit on the beach. (no benches) For children, the playground is very hidden and rather poor. The friendliness also leaves a lot to be desired. Fishing license very very expensive

The panorama around the campsite is beautiful, you can make wonderful excursions and hikes.

Water supply and drainage already some distance away. There are only hand showers in the ladies' showers; a hanging option at a height of approx. 160 cm would be nice. Driving speed is often (by long-term campers) is often not maintained.
Beautiful mountain-lake vacation
The campsite is beautifully situated directly on Walchsee. Hiking, swimming and cycling were great fun.
The sanitary facilities were well maintained and always clean.
The selection of bread rolls in the nearby Spar supermarket was great and good. The staff at the Spar supermarket were also very friendly....
The restaurant on the square, we had pizza every time, is good, the staff very friendly. Also open longer for the "Rudelgucken" during the European Football Championship.

Beautiful place in North Tyrol
This was our 4th time on the site. Apart from the fact that it has become more expensive over the years, we were very happy to come back. Wonderful surroundings with many possibilities for a vacation.
Fresh bread rolls at the gas station about 400 meters away and supermarket about 500 meters. There is... a restaurant on the site. Swimming in the lake right next to the campsite.
This time, however, the site was overcrowded, which of course detracted from the coziness. However, the staff managed to keep the sanitary facilities and the site itself clean!
We will certainly come here again.

Lake square with a great panorama
The site offers many opportunities for sports enthusiasts.
We went hiking, on bike tours, did a few laps on the stand-up paddleboard and swam in the lake. Unfortunately, some campers did not comply with the coronavirus measures. As we were there in the high season and therefore everything was a bit "fuller",... it was difficult to keep the distances in the sanitary facilities. Overall, a beautifully situated site by the lake, but not really suitable for those seeking relaxation.
