Great campground! Great city! The lake is right in front of the campground! Hiking trails and attractions are just a short walk from the campground! The restrooms are clean—they’re cleaned every morning between 8 and 9 a.m.! The staff is very friendly—except for the cleaning lady!

The restroom has to be cleaned during peak hours in the morning between 8 and 9! You need a coin to take a shower, even if you just want a cold shower! And you absolutely need a key to get into the restroom! This is more than just annoying and petty, especially since there’s a public restroom and shower on the other side of the building. It’s completely incomprehensible why, given all the wonderful things this place has to offer, the restroom facilities are run in such a narrow-minded way!
Great place, but a bit stingy when it comes to showers!
The area for day visitors consists of a meadow with solid ground in front of the permanent campers’ sites. The individual plots are generously sized. The restroom facilities are new, but can only be accessed with a key, which is more than a nuisance. It’s just as annoying that not even the cold showers... work without a coin. And then, every morning at 8 a.m. sharp, the cleaning lady shows up in the restrooms—they could just as easily postpone that until 1 p.m.!

Great place, great staff especially Gabi
A very nice clean place. Sanitary building always clean and almost new. Gastronomy on site and very tasty. The receptionist Gabi is awesome. She greeted us warmly and with humor, despite the fact that we were at the wrong entrance. According to the GPS we were right. She accompanied us to the pitch and... explained everything to us very well. Greetings to you dear Gabi. Her husband takes care of the outdoor facilities, which are also very well maintained. All in all, we can only recommend the site. We will definitely be back - best regards to the team.

In itself a beautiful campsite directly on the Weißenstädter See. A wide variety of pitches with different sizes. Very simple and pragmatic. Two new wash houses. Showers, however, via shower tokens and on arrival you get a key to gain access. Bread roll service available on site, as well as a really... good restaurant, gas sales and rental of adapters and cable drums. Conclusion: Nothing special, but always good for 2-3 nights. The operators are very friendly with a certain sense of humor. Just Upper Franconian. Honest 4 stars from me. I've had worse for considerably more money.

Too few sanitary facilities
Place on meadow
After the typical Franconian welcome, we were allowed to choose a spot on the meadow. The whole area is still under construction, so everything still looks a bit provisional.
The path to the bathing lake is only 100m. The municipal swimming pool no longer seems to exist.
The area for permanent campers is clearly demarcated.

Place relatively expensive, not reachable by phone and no answer by mail. Very busy with permanent campers and unfortunately a "lost place atmosphere" in some corners, especially by the empty outdoor pool

The ongoing measures such as newly gravelled access roads, new electricity systems and a beautiful restaurant are impressive. The new tenant and his team are very friendly and helpful.
The food is really good, which justifies the slightly higher price. Perhaps there should be 2 or 3 more dishes on the menu to tempt you to linger rather than cook for yourself.

The location is great. The lake invites you to take a nice walk. The campsite is easy to reach

Price-performance ratio is not right at all. The staff are very unfriendly. There is no hygiene concept there, everyone walks without masks. Sanitary facilities really dirty. The swimming pool is a construction site, but you can't find out about this anywhere in advance. I can't understand how this campsite can achieve such a high rating. The food was too expensive, the schnitzel was very burnt and inedible
Not recommended
We stayed at this campsite 5 years ago and it was very pleasant. Unfortunately we had to make the experience in 2021 that this campsite is no longer recommendable

Here, a simple meadow is transformed into a cash cow. We quickly put up a few electricity boxes, painted a few lines and numbers on the access road with spray paint and we have already expanded our campsite profitably! No internal coordination, reservations are obviously not taken seriously even though... you have to and can only book online! Also strange! No water tap on the meadow! Water only in the sanitary facilities! Only caravans and motorhomes are allowed near the sanitary facilities. Out and about with a tent, bad luck.
A mower doesn't seem to be available either. Tenant not particularly friendly, to put it mildly. Sanitary totally overloaded, reduced by Corona to one! Sink, 2 showers per gender, toilets also reduced, but space full to bursting. Disgusting! Wednesdays are not only the reception's day off, but also the cleaning staff. The location can be whatever it wants, we will never come here again, especially as the price is too high for what is on offer.

Some minor defects in the washrooms.
Successful weekend
We chose this pitch because our son wanted to use the bike hall at the Radquartier in the neighboring village.
We had reserved a spot below the tennis courts in advance. From here you can cross a small bridge directly to the lakeshore. The ideal distance for transporting a sub!
The pitch was relatively... narrow, but extremely deep! There was enough space for a shaded area with table and chairs, then the caravan with sun awning, behind it a 3-man tent, again plenty of space and then the car parked lengthways.
Although the site was fully booked on our weekend, it was incredibly quiet!
The bread service is highly recommended! The adjoining restaurant has a very varied menu with a very good price/performance ratio. The food is also available to go here.
Now to the minor flaws.
The nearby wash house is well designed.
More frequent replenishment of toilet paper would be desirable.
In the showers there are 3 hooks behind a small partition wall. Unfortunately, the water jet from the shower head splashed over the partition wall in such an unfavorable way that all objects on the hooks were completely wet after a shower (with extra coins).
On a positive note, I would like to mention that we were only charged an additional €10 for a late departure until 5pm - very commendable!
There are lots of nice little cafés around the lakeshore that invite you to linger.
Our kids also found the nearby beach volleyball court very cool.
Conclusion: We will definitely be back!

Very nice place
It is a beautiful, quiet yet central site right on the lake. The bathing area is about 200m from the site, as is the playground. The sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned regularly. The staff is very friendly except for the boss who was a bit stressed. At the moment there is only little space for parking at the registration due to construction work.

Cheap and clean
We were passing through - one night - great place - pool available - you can have a SUPER meal in the campsite's own restaurant. The owner is what we would call "a cool dog" - always in a good mood and always up for a joke. At the same time there was also a fire department festival in the village - cheers!!!!!

Quiet place
The site is located directly on Lake Weissenstadt. Well suited for hiking, cycling and swimming. The town is within easy walking distance. We felt very comfortable.

Too many permanent campers
Simple place, cool operators, great prices.
Have already been here 3 times, anytime again. Nice place, friendly staff, swimming opportunities in our own natural pool or directly at the lake, modern sanitary facilities, but only cleaned in the morning. I can live with it for the price. Lots of strange permanent campers who literally fence off their pitches. But as in any crowd, there are funny people and people you get on with straight away. Dogs are also welcome.

Always worth a trip
The Hüttel family and their team are friendly and helpful with every guest, in every matter. Nice, friendly welcome - well-maintained sanitary facilities - well-kept pitch - friendly, helpful permanent campers (unfortunately not a matter of course everywhere) - quiet, friendly location, directly on the... lake - the spa facilities can be reached quickly by bike - entrance/exit to the pitch meadow unfortunately very narrow (a lamp post is exactly opposite, was set up by the city) - the electrical connections are very far apart (don't forget a second cable drum, therefore only 4 stars for infrastructure).

Super friendly reception
Super friendly welcome from the Hüttel family who run the site. Although I hadn't made a reservation, Mr. Hüttel still found a pitch for me on the full campsite. The campsite is mainly occupied by permanent campers. But I have never experienced such friendly treatment of transit campers. A hello here... and a smiling face everywhere. The site is very well laid out, the sanitary facilities are great with lots of combined wash and shower cubicles. Cleanliness is a top priority on this site. Restaurant with a large beer garden and very good food at reasonable prices. The peace and quiet is wonderful when you consider that there are lots of children and dogs on the campsite. I can recommend this campsite to everyone and will go there again!

We have been to this campsite twice. The operators are very friendly and the sanitary facilities were always clean, even in the high season when the site was at full capacity. It is advisable to bring a longer power cable. Bread rolls and sweets are freshly baked several times a day. The location on... the lake is ideal, also as a starting point for hikes. You can also do sports on the 4 km asphalted lake circuit. We will definitely be back, also because of the good Franconian cuisine offered in numerous restaurants in the area.
