Cancellation Fees in the Event of a Child's Illness
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our stay at the last minute because both children were in bed with a fever. Despite a doctor’s note, there was no leniency whatsoever—we were charged the full cancellation fees.
Particularly inappropriate: The invoice even said “Thank you for your stay,” even though we... never actually arrived.
Families should know that, in the event of illness, they apparently can’t expect any leniency—even with a doctor’s note. Very disappointing.

You cannot choose your own plot
Very good infrastructure, ideal for children
Great infrastructure, especially for children. Sanitary facilities are at hotel level, absolutely top. Plenty of space on the larger plots with gravel floor.

Unfortunately, you can't choose your own pitch, which is a shame and creates uncertainty.

The store is lovingly stocked, but unfortunately not complete.

We will definitely be back, we liked it :)

Service not transparent, space allocation does not correspond to the ordered service
Warning against booking without a specific seat allocation
I would like to draw your attention to what I consider to be a very customer-unfriendly approach.

I booked a pitch in an available category and expressly asked when booking to be given a pitch that was as quiet as possible - especially not in the immediate vicinity of the sanitary building. The booking... was subsequently confirmed.

However, on the basis of the site plan and an additional check via Google Maps, I discovered that the allocated pitch, pitch 816, was located directly next to the sanitary building - without any significant distance.

My subsequent request to be offered an alternative pitch (larger or smaller) was rejected with the comment that no other pitch was available in the desired period.

I then canceled the booking and asked for a refund. A processing fee of €35 was retained. Despite my renewed indication that I had expressly excluded such a pitch and that the service was not clearly described from my point of view, the campsite was not accommodating.

In addition, the campsite reserves the right to allocate a different pitch even after a booking has been made. Interested parties should therefore check carefully whether they want to book without a binding pitch allocation. My recommendation: Have the specific pitch confirmed in writing in advance.

It is a pity that the pitch you requested did not work out. As described in our terms and conditions, there is a fixed pitch commitment from 7 nights. We will of course try to accommodate requests for shorter stays, but cannot always guarantee them, especially during busy... periods.

Unfortunately, there was no other room available in the period you selected.

The processing fee of €35 only applies if the booking has already been paid for in advance. In this case, we incur corresponding costs and administrative work due to payment processing, commissions and refunds. This regulation is clearly stated in our general terms and conditions.

Especially during vacation periods, we recommend booking as early as possible if a specific place is desired - then the chances are much better.

We think it's a shame that you only rated us with one star, even though you weren't able to get to know our resort. Perhaps we will be able to convince you personally at a later date.

Size of the Premium pitches

Nothing works without wedges, the pitches are all hanging and have run out. The very coarse gravel on the pitch without fine gravel is very unpleasant. Traffic noise from Muldenbachstrasse
A far cry from five stars!
The renovation of the CP after the 2024 flood leaves a lot to be desired. Apart from a few sandbags still lying around, there are also no flood protection measures for the future. Overall, the entire campsite including the restaurant/terrace, pool area and playground equipment makes a very unkempt impression.... Unmown pitches, weeds everywhere, dead and overgrown plants, lime blossom and dry leaves from hedge trimming. The Mediterranean wash house II, although not modern, is still going strong. The buildings of wash house III with the poorly renovated showers, the old toilets and windows are not good at all! The pool, including the building and showers, is also old and the grounds are not appealing. The square lighting is a mix of new modern lamps and old crooked lanterns, some with broken or missing glass. There are newly asphalted roads and old bad roads. All these impressions give the impression that the operator does not really value style and customer satisfaction.

Beautiful campsite.
The campsite is located in the municipality of Markdorf in the Lake Constance district and has a swimming pool and a play barn. The camping store has an exceptional organic range.

Currently not recommended for S stars due to high water damage! Sanitary house good.

When booking, it is only stated that there was high water. The campsite is currently only 15% occupied, according to the reception. The damage impairs the view, The pitch is sloping. You need more than 10 cm to set up a caravan according to the spirit level and this for a comfort pitch.
at the moment the campsite is an imposition
For a 5 star campsite you would have to point out at the time of booking that the campsite is currently only partially usable due to flood damage.

We currently have a noise nuisance due to the cleanup work.

The exchange of gas bottles is currently being carried out by a tree act about 1000 meters... away. You only find out about this when you ask about gas at reception.
A visit to the sauna is chargeable for camping visitors and is currently only possible from 16:00.

Unfortunately, the flood was an unforeseeable force majeure event that also presented us with major challenges. However, we are making every effort to repair the damage as quickly as possible so that we can soon offer our guests the comfort they are accustomed... to.
A solution has already been found regarding the gas bottles, so that we can now offer gas bottles on site again.
You can find the sauna opening times in advance on our homepage. During the summer, they apply to all guests from 4pm to 9pm as described.

We will be back
We rented a log cabin, which is very cheap and absolutely sufficient for us, and the provided fridge and kettle, which can be used by both cabins, is nice.
It is really great.
I would improve 2 things.
1. insect screens in front of windows and doors, because there were already many flies and mosquitoes... coming in.
2. possibly a fall-out protection for the bunk beds upstairs (when the children sleep upstairs it is not such a good feeling without protection).
With these 2 things it would be perfect

You can specify a fall-out protection when you make your booking. We can provide this for you on site. Alternatively, you can always ask on site whether it would... be possible to get a fall-out protection at a later date.

We found the site to be very pleasant and clean. The peace and quiet at night was excellent. The sanitary facilities were clean and functional. The staff are extremely friendly, both at reception and in the farm store. Super service, thank you very much.

Beautiful campsite.
Super nice campsite, very friendly and hard-working staff.
The sanitary facilities were always clean for the ladies, only the men's toilets got dirtier and dirtier the fuller the campsite became (according to my husband and father).

Beautiful family campsite in a perfect location
Perfect CP for a family vacation on Lake Constance. You don't always have to be right on the lake...
The booking was uncomplicated and the journey was easy. The welcome was warm and the staff always helpful and friendly. We were rebooked to another site due to the weather and the janitor did everything... to ensure a drier stay. Thanks for that...
The pitches are large and grassy in the lower area. The premium pitches have grass grids, which is an advantage in bad weather. The wash houses were all modern and always clean. There were several free dishwashers and a toilet cubicle cleaning machine. The children's washrooms were also very nicely furnished.
There are plenty of leisure activities for all age groups. A pool, soccer pitch, beach volleyball, a mega great play barn and a very nice playground, free mini golf, craft and play lessons, fitness classes, excursions and and and.... It really couldn't get boring.
The restaurant was always busy, which probably says it all. Unfortunately, we didn't test it. The Hofcafé offered delicious coffee and cake, bread service and small treats such as tarte flambée etc. The small supermarket in the Hofcafé was perfectly adequate for us.
The location of the site is very nice and not far from the town and shopping facilities. All the big towns on Lake Constance are within easy reach. Fruit and vegetables are available on every corner anyway.

Despite the bad weather at the beginning, we felt very comfortable. We would love to come back...

We keep our fingers crossed for the operators that they recover well from the terrible storms. All the best!

Located near the beautiful town of Markdorf with many shopping opportunities
SUPPER CAMPINGPLACE with hiking and cycling opportunities.
The lapse with the wasps in the rented bathroom was quickly (with some effort) resolved to our satisfaction!

It was beautiful!!!
We stayed here for 4 nights.
The staff are all very friendly, attentive and helpful.
The campsite makes a very good impression, the sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean. There is a lovely little farm store with super tasty bread rolls. The spa area is small but nice, everything is great here too!
We will be back!!!

Strong and unpleasant urine odor in the men's toilet in washhouse II
Good place but not outstanding
Very friendly staff. Overall well-kept site with large pitches in all categories. Our Premium pitch was very large and very easy to drive on thanks to the grass pavers. The wash house II is modern and attractively designed. During our stay, there was a very unpleasant smell of urine in the men's toilet,... which could not be stopped despite being told twice. I think the price level is high compared to other Leading Campings. The farm store in particular is too expensive. A baked frozen pizza for over €10 is out of the question. I also think the restaurant is expensive for the small selection on offer. The location 7 km from Lake Constance is acceptable, but next time we will prefer a site directly on Lake Constance. The site is good but in my opinion not outstanding as a leading campsite.

Nice relaxing days again with pleasure
We were, 2 adults 2 children, 14 days on the CP.
Staff, whether reception, farm store or cleaning lady, were very very friendly!
Toilets and showers were always clean.
We always found a shady spot on the sunbathing lawn with swimming pool.
The small town of Marktdorf is highly recommended, especially... on Thursdays when there is a market.
If you like a small, rather quiet campsite, you are in good hands HERE.
The facilities in our rental tent were also perfectly adequate.
The play barn and playground make children's hearts blossom.
Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the children's program because we didn't use it, BUT
They come up with a lot of ideas, no matter if small or big.
We are already planning our next vacation
at the Wirthshof.
