This time, the Holländischer Hof was the last stop on our trip—unfortunately, only for three days. But as the saying goes: You should quit while you’re ahead. Although we always have a pretty hard time doing that at the Holländischer Hof. 😉 We’re regulars by now and know exactly why we love coming back here time and again. We especially liked the upgrades to the restroom building this time. The new floor looks great, and the digital shower card is super convenient. Finally, no more fumbling around—just tap the card and you’re good to go. 🚿👍 A little tip from personal experience: Please DON’T forget to return the card! 😜 Otherwise, your €10 deposit will be gone faster than your last cup of coffee in the morning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Three days at the Holländischer Hof—and once again, it went by way too fast!”
We’re a married couple in our late 40s, traveling without kids—so we’re exactly at that age where you’ll willingly get up early in the morning to secure a good campsite, and yet still claim in the evening, “We’re not even tired yet!” 😂

But what’s just as important to us are the people behind the campground....

Reginald and Petra really go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home. You can just tell that the campground and their guests are close to their hearts. They’re always keeping an eye on things, helping out, and organizing—and if there’s a problem, they usually find a solution.

And then there’s Patrik, the groundskeeper.
What this man does at the Holländischer Hof is nothing short of a minor art form. 👏
With a lot of dedication, passion, and a keen eye, he makes sure the campground becomes a true oasis of well-being. You sit there in the evening in front of your RV, look out over the campground, and think to yourself, “Actually, we could stay a few more days…” 😎🏕️

Especially in the evening, with the lights on, the campground has a really lovely atmosphere. Add to that the Moselle, the scenery, and that laid-back camping vibe—that’s exactly why we love coming back here time and time again.

Our verdict:
A campground isn’t just about campsites, restrooms, and amenities—it thrives above all on the people who bring it to life. And that’s exactly what you notice here.

We’ll be back—no question about it! ❤️

Warm regards from two regulars,
who actually only planned to stay three days…
and were already thinking about when we’d come back next as we were leaving. 😂🏕️🍻

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5—highly recommended!

Location, friendly staff, great restroom facilities—the only thing that was noisy was… the barking dogs… otherwise, everything was great

Utility bills are too high
Weekend with two overnight stays
We were there for a weekend (two nights); the campground is in a good location...clean
bathrooms...friendly
staff. It’s just that the additional costs aren’t exactly cheap... €1.12 per kWh for electricity (we used 4 kW to charge our phones a bit and run the coffee maker and paid €4.50)
A €16 booking... fee on top of that, and if you need Wi-Fi, you get 1 hour for free and then it costs… That might have been common in 2005, but who still charges for Wi-Fi these days?

Hello, Ku T Family,
Thank you very much for your review.
There seems to be a mistake in the prices you mentioned.
Electricity costs €0.75 per kWh, not €1.12. If you used 4 kWh, we should have charged you €3.00.
By the way, 4 kWh is a lot just for charging a cell phone and running a coffee maker.
And... Wi-Fi is free here.
The reservation fee allows us to keep the nightly rates low. So the longer you stay, the cheaper the nightly rate becomes.
We’d be happy to welcome you back another time.

Reservation fee! Parking regulations for trailers/RV on the site! There is only one restroom building at the entrance to the campground and a portable restroom at the other end.
Well then—if that's your thing
We were there with our camper and had a spot with private restroom facilities.

However, we weren’t allowed to park the camper on the site the way we would have liked. As a result, we were in full sun almost all day with no shade. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before!

There were no hedges,... bushes, or other barriers separating the individual sites—so there was no wind protection either.

Fortunately, there were private restroom facilities on the site, since the only restroom building is located at the entrance to the campground. A portable restroom at the other end of the campground doesn’t really make up for this shortcoming either.

The small shop for daily necessities is adequate.

In contrast to the restaurant in front of the campground:
A run-of-the-mill selection with no real friendliness from the staff.

Last but not least:
A 16-euro booking fee—for what?
No transparent meter reading for electricity usage!

Our conclusion:
It was an experience we don’t need to repeat!

Hello Mr. Detlef,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It’s a shame you didn’t enjoy your stay with us very much. If you had spoken to me personally, I could have explained a few things to you.
The layout of the RVs and trailers is also mandated for us, since—as at every campground—we must... maintain a 5-meter firebreak. That’s why the firebreaks are positioned exactly as they are. That’s why you can’t park any other way. Safety always comes first, of course.
Since our campground is located on a peninsula and is regularly flooded, we’re not allowed to create barriers with hedges or bushes. Anything that obstructs the flow of water is prohibited. We’re not allowed to plant new trees ourselves. That’s also why we can’t build any additional restroom facilities on the grounds; instead, we have a portable toilet at the back of the campground, which we have to move away during high water.
The booking fees cover administrative costs. That’s why we can keep the overnight rates low. The longer you stay, the cheaper it gets. Guests are, of course, always welcome to check and record the starting and ending meter readings themselves. I don’t quite understand why that should be a problem for you. You only used 6 kWh per 24 hours. That’s very little, especially with private restroom facilities.
I don’t understand what you mean by a “run-of-the-mill” restaurant menu. I’m not sure what that refers to.
I hope you’ll still want to come back, and that we can talk this over.
Best regards,
Reginald Burgers

- clean sanitary facilities - super nice staff - a great store with everything you need - clean place - delicious pizza in the restaurant directly at the campsite

We didn't notice anything negative. The only thing that is easier and quicker nowadays is logging off with power readings.
A great place right on the Moselle
A super great campsite in Dutch hands 😉 right on the Moselle. 90% of the campers are Dutch. But everyone is really nice and friendly and we got to know some very nice people. Just like campers. 😉👍🏻
The site is centrally located, 1 hour to Koblenz and also about 1 hour to Trier.
We had a pitch in... the 2nd row with a view of the Moselle, but had no problems with mosquitoes.
If you are at the end of the campsite, the paths to the sanitary facilities are relatively long if you don't have a bike with you.
It is a very, very quiet campsite. If you want peace and quiet and relaxation, you've come to the right place.
The ducks and co are not afraid of people and run across the site with the ducklings.
We will be back 😉

Schnitzel house at the campsite not recommended (large menu and the food was cold and prepared hours ago), everything came quickly to the table but price-performance does not correspond. Better a smaller menu and freshly prepared.
The friendly Dutch 👍
Overnight stay on the Moselle cycle path. We got a pitch for one night. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but super clean. They are cleaned a few times a day. We were able to charge our e-bikes at the tent. Lots of Dutch guests and all in good spirits.
A small corner store on the campsite offers everything you need at fair prices.

We felt welcome and can recommend this site.

We were there from 19-22.04 with the tent. I can not understand the negative reviews. We called at 16 o'clock that we arrive at 18 o'clock (reception only open until 18:00) although it was only 160km from us we needed until 18:15. A short call that we arrive a little later was answered with a no problem. As it was our first camping trip in years, we were a bit unprepared and we were helped with pretty much everything without any problems. About the campsite itself: Very clean and well maintained. Prices in the store are acceptable and the bread roll service is great as there are no shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity (8km about the first) The sanitary facilities are not the newest but they are always very clean. Showers cost €1 for 5 minutes and you can shower for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time. The only thing that could be reconsidered would be the prices for the intener. A one-off fee would probably make more sense than paying by the hour. Prices were: 1h 1€ 6h 3€ 30hours 6€ as the internet is not the fastest but there is good reception everywhere, a one-off fee would be better in my opinion.
Olumsuz yanları
The only thing I can think of is that, depending on where you have your pitch, it can be a bit of a walk to the sanitary facilities. Regular guests have been well prepared here with e-scooters and bicycles.
Everything is fine
We would love to come back, and again to the negative reviews. When we searched for campsites in the region, it was clear that a fee of €16 was payable for reservations. When we called, we were told that no reservation was necessary despite special requests such as a pitch by the water and with electricity.

Simply great
This campsite is one of the best in its class. We stayed here with our caravan for almost two weeks in July/August. 4 days after reopening after the flood, everything was spruced up to the finest.
What really amazed us was that it felt like someone was driving around the site every hour in an electric... car to check that everything was in order. Sanitary facilities always clean. You can only thank the hard-working ladies.
The pitches are large enough and easy to navigate.
Due to the length of the site, it is a little far from some pitches to the sanitary facilities or to the entrance with its excellently stocked store. You can find everything there, including Dutch goods, at reasonable prices. Bread roll service is a matter of course.

What didn't have to be: Young "adults" at the weekend who think they have to party loudly until 1 a.m. (!).
