"School Camp"
The campground was nice and clean, but there were rules everywhere—on every door, in every hallway. Not every site had water or sewage hookups, and the soap dispenser was empty 24 hours a day.
At 10 p.m., they make the rounds and remind anyone still outside that it’s finally time for quiet hours.
It was like being at a school camp—though anyone who’s been there knows you can still have fun there—but unfortunately not here.

In my opinion, someone really messed with the owner’s head…
Endless rules. Not a place to relax and unwind. The four of us came here and were told that, as a group, we had to keep it down 😂😂😂
Four people between the ages of 47 and 53 have to be sent to bed at 10 p.m. 🤦‍♂️
We were just looking for... a place where there weren’t any kids screaming and running around… and then we get treated like kids ourselves.
Signs on every bathroom door listing rules of conduct… “You can’t do this…” “You can’t do that.”
We saw this coming… the only reason we made the trip and put up with this whole mess is… if we’d canceled, he would’ve charged us a cancellation fee and rented the spot to someone else.
We just couldn’t bring ourselves to let him get away with that 😏
The only nice thing about the stay was… at some point around 8 p.m., a party boat with extremely loud music cruised up and down the Moselle. That’s when the operator completely lost control😂😂
It went down like a charm for the four of us.

Unfortunately, not a campground where you can relax
We had been looking forward to a relaxed and restful time at the campground. Unfortunately, there are far too many rules and regulations here, making it almost impossible to feel free and at ease. Instead of enjoying our stay, we felt like we had to... constantly be on our guard to make sure we didn’t do anything wrong.
A camping vacation should offer relaxation, freedom, and a certain sense of ease. That’s exactly what we missed here. Unfortunately, the many restrictions meant that we no longer felt truly comfortable.
It’s a shame, because camping should feel like a vacation and not like a set of rules. For us, therefore, it wasn’t a place we’d like to return to.

-> Beautifully renovated -> Friendly staff -> Pizza delivery -> Bread roll delivery -> Tastefully decorated -> The sinks even have dish soap -> Great view of the Moselle -> Adults only -> Pool -> Bernkastel-Kues is a great place

-> Check-in is only available until 6:00 p.m. Keep this in mind ⚠️ -> There are only 3 showers. You might have to wait a few minutes. But personally, I don't mind that when I'm on vacation. I always have plenty of time and patience then. 😊

A family-run campground where you can tell the owners have invested a lot of money and time. We'd love to come back.

Great place
A beautifully situated campground right next to the Moselle River and Bernkastel-Kues. The restroom facilities are new and always clean. We really liked the campsites because the grounds are laid out in a gentle terraced pattern and have a natural feel, with a layer of gravel and drainage in the center... that allows water to drain well even during heavy rain. Since the campground was for adults only and the friendly staff strictly enforced quiet hours, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would love to come back.

Great place!
We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. The campsites offer views of the Moselle and the vineyards; the owners are friendly, helpful, and always have tips on local highlights.

Top place on the Moselle
We spent 4 nights at the relatively newly designed campsite near Bernkastel-Kues and were absolutely satisfied.
A very nice welcome and a very friendly host family who have breathed new life into the site with a lot of love and commitment.
We had one of the 3 premium pitches with electricity and water... with a view of the Moselle and vineyards.
Absolutely clean sanitary building and washing-up area. The washing-up area even has washing-up liquid, cloths, sponges and washing-up brushes.
Unfortunately, we did not use the panoramic pool with a view of the vineyards.
Daily bread roll service to order with a very large selection.
The wines from the region could even be tasted beforehand at reception and can be purchased. The same goes for the beer from the nearby Machern monastery brewery.
The approach and descent via a steep road is a slight challenge, but we mastered it.
If necessary, you can be pulled onto the road with a pickup truck.
The pitches are a little uneven, but can be easily leveled with wedges.
We now enjoy the afterglow with the good Moselle wine and can absolutely recommend the site.
Bernkastel-Kues can be reached in about 15 minutes by bike. There is a beautiful old town, numerous restaurants, shopping facilities and well-signposted hiking trails.
The campsite is located directly on the Moselle cycle path.
The campsite is characterized by its quiet location and is for adults only.

A beautiful and extremely friendly managed campsite
I was there for 6 days in October. Very friendly welcome on arrival, everything important was explained in a transparent and friendly manner. I got help spontaneously, cable defective, got new cable, power fuse out, got help immediately. I felt very comfortable there

you have to be good on foot, by e-bike or have a lot of horsepower
Slopes everywhere
No stopping lane in front of the campsite, then very steep entrance, well-kept facilities, new sanitary building with little charm, because the corridor between the areas has outside temperature and is quickly cold. Ventilation in the shower rooms too weak.
Playground has been removed in favor of pitches.
It was very quiet because there were no children.

The owner gave us lots of helpful tips.
The pool was a great refreshment in the temperatures. The location is very good and the view of the vineyards and Moselle is fantastic.
We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Stonden wat ver van de moesel af. Steep in- and outside. Gastheer vond het vanzelfsprekend dat hij onze caravan bij vertrek met zijn suv naar de openbare weg bracht. Geweldig.
Mooie en rustige camping
We hebben op een mooie en rustige camping enkele dagen met veel plezier gekampeerd. Het management (Sabine en Reimund) van de camping is gericht op de gast. Dat is in allees voelbaar.

An incredible campsite in a class of its own
In fact, after several bookings at campsites in Germany, we came to the conclusion that although Germany is a country for campers, it is more for permanent campers. For this reason, the infrastructure at most campsites is appropriate (in other words, there are none and the sanitary facilities are appropriate).... Here we were proved wrong. Meticulously clean sanitary facilities, a small swimming pool and facilities for washing up with actual washing-up liquid (in case you forgot yours at home).

A small, fine swimming pool with seating and sunbathing areas, as well as a facility with two-seater swings in the shade.

The wash house in the lower part of the square had not yet been completed. But that wasn't really a disadvantage
Thank you for the wonderful days
My wife and I rented a hobbit house from 16.07. - 20.07..24. We had a picturesque view of the vineyards from the sun terrace. The town of Bernkastel is very easy to reach by bike from the campsite, as the cycle path runs directly behind the campsite. The site owners Sabine and Reimund are very friendly... and helpful. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day and the swimming pool was a great place to relax, especially in the hot weather. This campsite is definitely worth a visit. We would love to come back.

It was our first camping trip and we were immediately impressed. The site is very nice all round and super clean. The family team is really nice and always helpful. Great location right on the Moselle with a view of the vineyards.
