A very friendly young woman at the front desk who speaks English well, is helpful, and walks around the campground to find a suitable spot. It’s quiet and clean, with delicious pastries available every day starting at 8 a.m.

It took some getting used to having to pay 50 cents per shower for over 5 minutes, but on the other hand, it was long enough.
A very pleasant stay
A really beautiful area that has a lot to offer! Both in the summer and in the winter.

Best Campground
We had everything we needed at this campground. The numerous nooks and spots are especially charming—perfect for campers who prefer to be on their own or for groups who’d like to pitch their tents together in one place. Electricity and water are available for RVs. There’s also a small convenience store... with fresh bread rolls and a few camping supplies, as well as vending machines with regional products. The restroom facilities were always clean and adequate. We especially liked that you can walk right down to the banks of the Isar and relax there while enjoying the water and the view. We’d love to come back.

- that there is no wifi on the pitch was known but that there is little to no network was not known - Gastronomy on the pitch was not worth the money
yes ... was quite ok
- the place super great, the operators super friendly and always helpful, we would have liked to stay longer even in the rainy time, that there is no wifi we knew that there is little to no network coverage unfortunately not so we could have worked from under away in the rainy time and would have stayed... a few more days
- Gastro : we always support this which is important to keep but .... in this case ... we had cordonbleu ready-made, you don't need to be able to cook to finish this, even this did not succeed in the kitchen, loveless on the plate and then also for 2 x food and 2 x drinks 54, -
all in all any time again, just to eat somewhere else

Heated sanitary facilities. You can choose your own pitch. Beautiful view of the Karwendel mountains. You can get on the bus directly from the pitch to Mittenwald or Garmisch.

Unfortunately we didn't have such good weather and a huge puddle around the car due to the rain.
Very nice campsite
As we weren't able to explore everything we wanted to due to the short time, we will definitely return to the site.
We are already looking forward to it.

Isar and Karwendel in view
My third stay and I am again wonderfully relaxed and satisfied. Fantastic nature all around you. The Isar rushes in the background and the Karwendel rises above the trees in front of you. Squirrels climb in the branches, birds sing and the dog chills out in the sun. If you want to be on your own, you'll find your place - as will those who want to be together.
And all at a really fair price!
I look forward to seeing you again!

Beautifully situated pitch with a direct view of the Karwendel mountains. The sanitary facilities were always very clean. You can choose your own pitch and the staff were very friendly and helpful. there are endless hiking and cycling trails here.

Very nice campsite
The campsite is beautifully situated directly on the Isar. You have a free choice of pitches and can find the right pitch for every requirement. The sanitary facilities were always clean. There are also plenty of them. Depending on the pitch, however, there are long paths to reach them. There are plenty... of hiking trails here. Everything from moderate to alpine can be found in the area. The only drawback is the Bundeswehr firing range opposite. This could be a problem for campers with dogs who are sensitive to loud noises. But who spends the whole day on the site? At some point, even the Bundeswehr finishes work and peace and quiet returns.
We will still visit this site again and can only recommend it.

Pitches sometimes very muddy after hours of rain
Great vacation
We can only recommend this place. We were there with 2 dogs and there were no problems at all. You can get to the nearest town quickly by bike. The surroundings are also simply fantastic. If we were to visit this area again, we would definitely choose this campsite again.

I would divide the pitches into large, medium and small pitches. Larger pitches were already occupied by mini tents.
Vacation in a van
Great place right on the Isar, pitches were all spread out in small alleys. You never had the feeling that you were on a large campsite.

Great and quiet location on the Isar. There are large pitches between many trees. We liked the fact that we chose our pitch ourselves.

We were here for the weekend. The campsite is located directly on the Isar and is very close to nature, as the name suggests.

Beautiful campsite
We liked it very much as a couple.
A perfect starting point for planning various excursions. You are quickly in the beautiful Mittenwald.
The sanitary facilities are new and clean and are constantly cleaned. Simply top. I can only recommend it.
Bus station is also directly at the campsite so you can get everywhere quickly on foot, by bike, bus or car.
The ladies at reception were also very friendly. I would be happy to stay again. Many thanks

The surrounding landscape is a poem

- located on the main road = noise pollution very high - Most unfriendly campsite operator we have ever experienced "Anyone who can read has a clear advantage" "It's too loud for you, why don't you leave" (after 22:00, of course) - Bread roll service? Sold out after 9:00 am! - Only 1 washing machine for over 200 pitches? Unreasonable! - The sanitary facilities? It is illuminated - it doesn't need it, the fecal stench inevitably leads the guest to the toilets, even the new building is of no use - fie - We really felt sorry for the service staff in the restaurant - always alone when the place was full - but the food was delicious! - The local sausage and cheese vendor who is on the CP every week has excellent produce, but we warn against extortionate prices! 1 small bag of his ham and 2 pieces of cheese for 125 euros - that's extortionate! -
An imposition
We were there for the 1st and last time.
The campsite cannot be recommended at all - an imposition across the board.
Just because it has been there for 50 years and is at the foot of the Karwendel mountains?
NO THANKS!

Here is a small list:

- Located on the main road = very high noise pollution

Convenient location. Approx. 4km to Mittenwald. Bus stop at the campsite. Many tours possible directly from the campsite.

Helicopter night flights take some getting used to. Otherwise, everything is in the green zone for me.
Camping with lots of nature
Very beautifully situated forest campsite. Friendly staff, clean toilets and showers. Kiosk with bread rolls and other baked goods open daily from 8.00 am. You can choose your own pitches. Electricity available everywhere. Free bus travel and other discounts with guest card. To cut a long story short, we liked it here and will definitely be back.

Our stay with you was really wonderful. The reception was friendly and pleasant. The food in the front was very tasty. Everything was great.

That with the bread rolls in the morning. 8 to 9:30 is just too short. From 8.30am there wasn't much left, you couldn't pre-order. So out early at 8am at the latest. Once there was even no delivery at all, and we had no more bread at the place.
Vacation
We had a "dead end" pitch, which was really great. Beautiful under trees, no traffic and no constant walking past. We were able to put up our dog fence. Lots of guests with woofers at the campsite, all very nice. The Isar right next door. We liked everything (except the very short bread roll time) very... much. The showers and toilets were often used, unfortunately some of them lacked a shelf right next to the shower and the shampoo etc. had to be put on the floor. The really best excursion we made was to the "Engalm", simply a dream with great food. and incredibly beautiful surroundings. We would definitely like to come back to your wonderful place. Best regards...

If we can't think of anything, no matter how hard we think
Very beautiful and well-kept nature campsite that can only be recommended
We ended up at the campsite a year ago by chance and spontaneously with our tent and dog.
We liked it so much that it was clear that we would go again.
The campsite is perfect with a dog. Close to the Isar for refreshment (very cold 😅)
There is a lot to experience in the immediate vicinity (Zugspitze,... Eibsee, Walchensee, Partnachklamm, Karwendel, and much more). Everything is within easy reach.
The restaurant on the campsite is also recommended. We enjoyed it very much.
Toilets, showers, washroom, dishwashing room tip top.

It is clear to us that it was not our last visit ☺️

There are no activities that you can't experience in the surrounding area. Unfortunately you can only choose 5 😉

Vacation
The Isarhorn nature campsite lives up to its name. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the natural surroundings. The transport links to Mittenwald and the nearby shopping center are very good. We would love to come back.
