Very good
The pitch had a little less grass and more topsoil. But otherwise I was very satisfied. The washing facilities were super clean and the staff in the store and restaurant were super friendly.

South beach
Very nice quiet campsite right on the Baltic Sea. Sanitary facilities clean, only the situation with the showers we find not so good. 2 1/2 minutes is far too little.

Very good

Great place to relax
Very nice and family-friendly campsite. There is a wide range of play facilities for children. The sanitary facilities are always clean and tidy. The staff are always nice and very friendly. Camping ground Südstrand Fehmarn
We have been coming to the Südstrand campsite for several years now. As a couple, but also with the grandchildren, who always have an adventurous time here. There are plenty of opportunities to play and the campsite is clean and idyllic with no fuss and the reception is always friendly and helpful. We will be back!

A very nice place and super located with direct access to the sea. You have all possibilities, you can go for a nice walk by the sea but also make great bike tours. The place offers so many possibilities for children with great playgrounds and a great animation in the high season. We were very enthusiastic and will definitely come back.

Good overall. Criticism: Sanitary cleaned once a day (even in high season? ). No lighting on the side paths. Trees too close together for access to the pitches. Impossible to reach with a trailer (only from one side at a certain angle, only pointed out by other campers after 3 round trips) Water outlet surrounded by bushes at a height of approx. 30cm. Pigeon infestation that made the caravan and tent very dirty.

As always a nice stay at Südstrand Camping, well-kept sanitary facilities, very friendly staff and Mr. Bumann has an ear for everyone. It is a pity that there is a lot of seaweed, which makes swimming in the Baltic Sea unpleasant.

We had a great stay
A beautiful, natural campsite right on the beach. Very well located for water sports and cycling excursions. Many excursion possibilities. Huge green areas with play equipment or free play for the children. This is particularly noteworthy. Windsurfing and diving school make a good impression, but we... didn't use them. Our stay was too short and the weather was so-so.

It was our first time on Fehmarn and with such a nice campsite we will probably come again.

This time only over the weekend
Very nice spacious place with countless play options for children. A little outdated here and there. But everything is in good condition and clean. Everything is also available, so in theory you wouldn't have to leave the campsite. The staff are all super friendly. We've been there several times and will definitely be back.

Highly recommended
As every year, it was great again! I particularly liked the fact that the barrier remained open at lunchtime during the first few weeks. So you didn't have the stress of having to shop quickly to get the goods to the site by car. I'm not so enthusiastic about the restaurant. But the taste was ok.

Super family-friendly place

Very natural place
The whole place could be a bit better maintained. In many places it looks as if nothing has been done for a long time. There are far too many pigeons. The pigeons' droppings are everywhere. The play facilities for children and the program of events are positive. The sanitary blocks are clean and well maintained.

First time on the course and very satisfied
It was our first time at the site and we had rented a permanent caravan. We were completely satisfied with everything. The children quickly settled in and made use of the extensive facilities on the site independently - so that the parents also had enough time for themselves.

Nice, clean place
It is a clean site, the wash houses are cleaned several times a day and remained clean - which was certainly not easy in the rainy weather. The people in charge on site are nice and courteous.
However, I would have one suggestion: unfortunately you can't get ice cream during the lunch break or after 6 p.m. - perhaps there could be an ice cream freezer in the restaurant? It's open during that time.

Beautiful campsite
It was a good stay, despite the bad weather. We had water in the front, but a solution was found immediately, the campsite was very helpful. There are great playgrounds for the children and dogs are very welcome. The wash houses are clean and everything you need is available. The nice thing is that it's only a short walk to the sea and the dog beach is right next to the campsite. All in all a great campsite. We would come again🙂

Im ersten Eindruck hat mich die Größe des Campingplatzes etwas überfordert. Nach einem Tag kommt man aber gut zurecht. Der Platz ist sauber und die Parzelle war groß. Die Wertmünzen für Waschmaschine und Trockner finde ich etwas zu teuer.

I would recommend the campsite for families with children, couples and senior citizens. On Fehmarn, we liked the town of Burg auf Fehmarn best. If you like going for walks and want to jump into the Baltic Sea, the campsite is just right for you. You're right by the water. You can walk or cycle for miles there.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Südstrand campsite. Check-in, reception and stay were excellent. The campsite was clearly laid out. The sanitary facilities were excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. There is a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. The permanent campers in our area were very nice, courteous and very helpful. The sanitary facilities are very clean and well maintained. We didn't want for anything.

We had a relaxing vacation, the kids really liked it, playground selection really amazing I must say, very diverse and super idyllic, animation team also do a great job, there is no boredom!
The evening program on Saturday was very bass overdriven by the DJ and therefore very annoying for ears / head,... but did not go into the night!
The sanitary facilities were very good as far as the cleaning team was concerned, but it would be advisable to equip the showers completely with hand showers!
The rabbit plague on the island also surprised us rather negatively, as we found it very annoying with the droppings, as you couldn't walk barefoot without having the stuff on your feet, or the children on their hands, they are really everywhere, but cute animals nevertheless, if they are not lying around dead/torn on the meadow somewhere!
We also liked the beach and the sea very much, except for the algae sludge that accumulates and is not hauled off as we knew it before, and then smells unpleasant when you are on the beach, it was really disgusting with the stench underneath!

Recommendable
We felt very comfortable at the campsite and will go there again next year. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and very informative. The ladies were very committed and helpful. There is also a delicious bistro on site, lots of children's playgrounds and the walk to the beach is very short.

Our resort
It's always great to drive through the barrier and see the sea. The site is very well maintained, the pitches are big enough to put up an awning. We also put up a windbreak, which was sometimes necessary. What we think is so great is that you have direct access to the beach. For families with children,... without children, pensioners and those who want to become one, this is a great campsite where the price-performance ratio is right. The team at reception is always friendly and helpful if there is a problem. However, we do have one request...send the seagull oystercatcher alarm clock after 7 a.m. 😄

We were warmly welcomed and informed about the conditions on the pitch. I would have liked to have had a washbasin with a tap. where you could wash your hair. Unfortunately it is not possible in the sanitary area as the tap is too low.

Summer vacation
The vacation was very nice. Staff very friendly and in a good mood. Pitches large and well maintained. What I personally didn't like was that the entrances to the paths on which you get to your pitch are very narrow. What I also missed was a kind of beach bar where you can sit down and possibly come... into contact with other campers. There were also very few dog waste bags. Beautiful camping vacation
The pitch is very nicely laid out. Despite its size, I didn't feel like I was standing too close together. The bushes mean you always have little islands. It is very clean and the sanitary building also makes a very good impression. It is well cleaned. The small kiosk has a very good selection (the selection... of bread rolls is also very good).
Thanks again for the kind attention on arrival in the caravan, which is equipped with everything you need.
Only the "curtains" in the awning were not easy for me to roll up. I'm too short to reach the hooks ;)). Would love to come again.

Good campsite
After two windy weeks we arrived home safely. The stay, which was our 3rd time here, was good and we wanted for nothing. We have even already booked for 2026. Keep up the good work.

Now a note about the toilet cassette disposal. At certain times you can only stand in front of the disposal basin in the... wet, because some fellow campers have to spill everything in front of it, the devil knows why!
If you were to dig out some ground there (30 cm deep, put in some gravel 15 cm deep) and put in a 100 x 50 cm grid in a concrete frame, you could at least stand dry. It would also help in rainy weather!

Very nice campsite. Highly recommended.
We loved the campsite and will be back next year. On arrival we asked for branches to be cut back to make it easier to park the van. This was done promptly by the staff. We were on a small pitch for 10 people, which was really quiet. We would love to come back.

Nice friendly campsite
The location so close to the Baltic Sea was simply perfect. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along. But we still went to the sea every day. You are greeted super friendly at the reception. I was missing a locker for valuables if you wanted to go to the beach and swim alone

The campsite is very well located, right on the beach and very quiet. The pitches are large and not directly next to each other (with a tent on a single pitch). The sanitary facilities have everything you need, were never overcrowded and clean. Repairs were taken care of quickly. The small store on the campsite is very practical. Everything ran smoothly. There are lots of interesting things to do all around.

It was beautiful!
The campsite has existed since 1960, the sanitary buildings are somewhat outdated, but very clean. Showering is a bit unusual at first (hot water - time setting).
The site is very natural and has lots of trees and hedges. You can leave your car next to the caravan.
The absolute highlight is the proximity... to the Baltic Sea.
We were in the third row and could hear the sound of the waves.

A simple but clean, cozy campsite with everything a camper's heart needs to feel at home. Children will enjoy the many play facilities on the site. It is run by nice people and is located on the beautiful south beach of Fehmarn, a perfect starting point for bicycle tours.

Enthusiastic about Camping Südstrand
It was as relaxed as ever.
Because I knew that reception would be closed when I arrived, I made a reservation by phone on arrival. That went smoothly. After arriving at the allocated pitch, we realized that it was not convenient for us. After the reception opened, I went there and was able to choose... another pitch without any problems. Everything was always nice, polite and friendly. Just as I have been used to from the "Bumann team" for many years.

We were pleasantly surprised.
Ladies and gentlemen, great place, only nice and polite people, the corner store has everything you need for a good life, including fresh bread rolls. We will be back
We have been to this campsite many times and we like it very much.
The wash houses are always clean and it is a quiet campsite.

Quiet location with a short and direct path to the beach. Clean sanitary facilities. The rental caravans with fixed awning are clean and well equipped. Friendly welcome and good instruction in the caravan.
We felt completely at ease, even though we were new to camping.

Everything on site. Short walk to Burg for larger purchases. Close to water/beach.

It was a pleasant stay.
We really enjoyed our stay, which is why we would love to come back.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The sanitary facilities are ok.
The site is very clean and well maintained. You can find your way around quickly. It's a short walk to the beach. Depending on which pitch you are on, a bike is recommended for daily trips.
The price/performance ratio during our stay was great.
