The campsite is located about 1 km south of Scalea. It is easy to reach via the SS18. The site has around 25 pitches for motorhomes, some of which are shaded by trees. All pitches have electricity, some have water. The sanitary facilities are brand new and clean! Showers with a shower card cost 1 euro. The beach is less than 100m away, directly from the pitch. Plenty of space for our camper van. Bread can be ordered. We are pleasantly surprised.

Chef on site does not speak foreign languages . The mouth of the river creates a fairly strong current in the sea, could be dangerous.

Very simple space
I'm really undecided about the rating for this campsite. We actually felt quite comfortable, but on the other hand the site is very, very basic. In terms of infrastructure, you feel more like you're on a pitch. The sanitary building is very old and has chipped tiles, slippery toilets and sinks with a... gutter underneath instead of a normal drain. However, the sanitary building is kept very clean. However, I find the coin-operated machines installed at the showers terrible. They are on the outside (!) and as soon as you insert the 50 c, the water starts running. For 3 minutes! Then it's either: you're done or you have to go out naked to throw it in. Your partner can't do this as it's inside the gender-separated rooms. Otherwise: natural beach, coarse sand, large pebbles at the waterline. Crystal-clear, clean sea water. An improvised marina with boat cranes within sight. At the campsite fence, the sand has been piled up as a high dune, presumably as protection against winter storms. In the passageway, two concrete blocks lie diagonally on the side of the dune, which are obviously used to close the passageway in winter. Scalea is not far away, but you should cross the main road by bike and cycle via the quarry at the back to the quiet side streets. The town is nice and should also have some sights to offer. An MD is halfway there. Speaking of drinking and eating: The CP's bar offers coffee and croissants for breakfast, soft drinks, beer, wine, small snacks. But the neighboring beach bar on the dune, which turns into a mini-restaurant in the evening, is brilliant. Either pizza at reasonable prices, or the menu of the day on the blackboard. The chef looks like a buccaneer, but the food would have been enough for twice as many people and tasted wonderful. A bottle of wine and amaro or limoncello afterwards is a matter of course. You eat on the dune with a view of the beach and the pink sunset, simply fantastic.
