Navi first leads 2 km out of town and back to the other side of the road and then down to the pedestrian underpass. Site difficult to access for caravans. Sanitary facilities on the second floor, dark at night and if you sit for more than 3 minutes you have to finish in the dark. Narrow asphalted paths with kerbs. Which star architect worked here? Muddy square, not a blade of grass left. French rip-off for D...

Visit Besancon and more
Easy to reach from the highway, place with charm of the 70s but pitches all parceled and partially gravelled, sanitary restored and clean. The site is on the main road, but quiet at night. Streetcar stop in the large shopping area (supermarket, restaurants, bakery, etc.) to Besancon within 10-15 minutes on foot, ticket €1.60 per person.

Nice operators, 8km on a beautiful cycle path to Besancon, a must visit
Negativa
Nearby road, therefore some traffic noise
Very pleasant place
Large pitches, with plenty of shade in summer. Clean and well-kept sanitary facilities. Electricity at every pitch. Ideal place for a visit to Besancon by bike or for an overnight stay when passing through. A simple Italian and a French restaurant about 300m away on foot.

Risk of theft
Nothing recommendable nightly robberies 7 Germans in one night!
We chose the site as an overnight stopover for our onward journey to the south. That night, caravans and motorhomes were broken into while we were sleeping and the owners were robbed. Mainly cash, watches, cell phones, credit cards. From the signs of burglary left behind, they were clearly professionals.... No one noticed anything. Only in the morning at 6 o'clock did the first person realize that there had been uninvited guests during the night. The campsite operator didn't care at all. This happens once a year. The police were also very disinterested and only took up the reports as standard. We cannot recommend this campsite due to the incident and the lack of support from the campsite operator. The sanitary facilities are also in need of renovation. Cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired.

Theft/burglary warning
First night burglary in 4 mobile homes and 1 tent. Loot without exception cash (in our case approx. 700.00 €). No warning from the operator although it has happened before.

Somewhat expensive
Somewhat expensive campsite near Besancon
This campsite is the only one near Besancon. Although it is located directly on the Doubs and right on the Eurovelo 6 cycle route, it is unfortunately still 10km from Besancon. The staff are super friendly and our pitch was right by the river. The pitches were not too crowded. The sanitary facilities... were good. For cyclists who want to see the town the next day, here's a tip: the tourist information office stored our luggage with them. So we could stroll through the town with a clear conscience ;)

Typical city campsite
Well-kept, beautiful complex directly on the Doubs; good wifi everywhere; very noisy due to the main road next door but: the city can be reached by streetcar or on a charming cycle path (on the Doubs). Shopping facilities 100 meters away (tip: the bakery in the industrial area: high-quality baked goods!); perfectly ok for 1-2 nights; nice staff

Easter in Besancon
Stayed at La Plage campsite for 5 days. There were nice, well-paved pitches for motorhomes. The operators are very nice. The staff are probably provided by the town and are people who need a bit of help, which I personally think is a very good idea. In any case, the sanitary facilities were always spotless.... The beautiful town of Besancon is easily accessible by streetcar and is worth a visit for sightseeing and the Citadelle. Unfortunately there is no bakery service, but there is a great bakery just a few minutes' walk away. We can also recommend a visit to the Chinese restaurant with a great buffet. Conclusion: It's worth staying here for more than just one day.

Heavy road noise and very muddy when it rains
On the river and yet not on the river
Nice place on the river. Unfortunately no access to the shore. Friendly staff. Be careful when it rains: quickly swampy and damp from below. Modern, clean sanitary facilities. Excellent tranbahn connection to the city center and large supermarket nearby. Unfortunately, directly on the busy road with quite a high noise level, even at night. If that doesn't bother you, you'll find a nice place.

Risk of theft. Extremely inadequate video surveillance. Very easy for thieves to access via a dirt track at the rear.
Inadequate security
We and 4 other tents were slashed open at night while everyone was asleep and valuables of considerable value were stolen. The police said that this has happened several more times in the meantime. As far as we know, the campers are not warned by the operator. The video surveillance advertised on the site is extremely inadequate.

Ideal for visits to Besançon
To get to the pitch, you have to drive over a kerb. It's a bit bumpy, but that's the only negative thing. 3 people with a camper van cost €31.45 per night.

Nice staff, free entry to the outdoor pool, free WiFi, supermarket and bakery in the immediate vicinity, clean

Barrier that closes at 22:00, volume of trucks on the road, boiler and bed in the mobile home
Nice short vacation in a mobile home
Very nice place, nice operators (have an aquarium with small fish at the reception), small playground, free use of the public outdoor pool next door (only in summer), mobile home: except that only cold water came out of the shower (too small boiler) and that screws were missing on the fold-out bed, it... is well equipped. Supermarket and bakery within 5 min walking distance, Attention: Gates close at 22:00h (eating out in the evening stressful), then you have to park the car in the parking lot in front of the CP. Sometimes noisy because of the big road next door (trucks). Free WiFi (reception not always good, depending on location).

Sanitary facilities Asbach-Old and unclean
Well.... goes like this
The site is right next to an outdoor swimming pool. We had a pitch next to the fence, swimming pool noise incl. access to the river from the campsite not possible. The sanitary facilities are from the concrete construction era. Downstairs in the dishwashing room it stank once terribly of urine -> is ancient in there. Clean is also something else. The pitches are nicely shaded. WLAN is free and OK.

Good afternoon,
We are saddened by this customer's rather negative comment. We nevertheless thought to have suggested him a quiet place near the river.
It is true that this small area of the sanitary block will be renovated next year. On the other hand, the rest of the sanitary block is ultra modern and will satisfy all the numerous tourists, all the tourists who wish can come to check our sanitary block. A warm welcome.

Cp Besancon
We were on the pitch at the end of August. It was still well frequented. The reception was friendly, helpful and spoke German. The sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained. Ideally located as a starting point for sightseeing in Besancon. By car we were quickly in the city, there are some free parking lots. It was 36 degrees during our visit, so we only took a short stroll through the town. But we will be back.

Space for a stopover
Place is ok for one night. Sanitary facilities were ok and tidy despite previous rain. The bakery is a little further away and the footpath to it leads through the forest, which unfortunately was dirty and full of animal droppings (dogs) when we were there. Operator nice and helpful

Caution
Hello dear camping friends, I drove to this place 3 years ago, thank God I didn't sleep well at night and was mostly awake! I didn't have a safe feeling there! Anyone could go in and out of the outbuilding (elevated) and there was a party. When we arrived at the site we were told around 8pm." The parking... space normally costs 26 €, black 20 € without invoice, you probably know from Germany, "Schwarzgeldkasse" Everything a little strange there, with reservation: Who knows what else servants come up with there ???? !!!!! I would be pleased to receive information from Jürgen.
