However, please allow me to clarify a few important points regarding the issues you mentioned:
The water level of the Dordogne and... fishing: You arrived in the midst of an intense heat wave that had been ongoing for two months. This exceptional drought caused the river level to drop significantly. This is a weather-related situation entirely beyond our control.
Noise: Your arrival coincided with Friday, July 10. The very next day, Saturday, July 11, we had the immense honor of seeing the Tour de France pass right in front of the campground! While this event is a major public celebration, it inevitably generates exceptional activity (the passage of the promotional caravan, helicopters, spectators). The usual tranquility of our campground was therefore disrupted for 24 hours by this historic moment.
Pitch size: You were, however, accommodated on one of our standard pitches, which measure approximately 100 m²—a size generally highly appreciated by our campers for its comfort and spaciousness.
Please know that the Bo-Bains team makes it a point of honor to provide a pleasant and peaceful setting the rest of the year. We regret that these exceptional circumstances and weather conditions marred your vacation.

We’ve also taken note of your feedback regarding the amenities. As for condiments (salt, pepper, oil), we can’t leave open containers from one stay to the next for hygiene reasons, but I fully understand that this makes settling in easier.
However, as for the rest, I have some good news: we have toasters and kettles available at the front desk for all our guests who’d like to use them. Please don’t hesitate to ask for them during your next visit—we’ll be happy to lend them to you to make your stay even more comfortable!

We could have ordered bread, but the store is just a 10-minute drive away. We got tips for fun day trips and enjoyed the pool. There’s no lifeguard, but the bar staff keep an eye on things.
