By bus (a 10-minute walk), you can get to Salzburg, Bad Ischl, and the towns around Lake Wolfgang....
We took the bus to Strobl, then the boat from there to St. Wolfgang, and finally the Schafbergbahn up to the Schafberg. It’s not cheap, but it’s very beautiful. From the Schafberg, you have a panoramic view of five lakes.
One evening, the pizza truck came by; unfortunately, we missed it, but we were told it was absolutely delicious.

The campground is beautiful and very well-maintained; the sites are spacious, level, and large enough. The restrooms are spacious and exceptionally clean—although I don’t camp very often, these are among the best-maintained I’ve seen so far.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the free bus pass, which I hadn’t even specifically asked for. Access to the beach and the water itself is very easy, and the surrounding area is peaceful and offers plenty of opportunities for walks.
