Beautiful campsite in the Black Forest
We had a wonderful stay at this campsite and can only recommend it!
The site is very clean, well-kept and in a great location in the middle of the Black Forest. The pitches are pleasantly large, so you have plenty of space to relax. We would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff, who always... had a smile on their faces and provided us with lots of helpful tips for excursions and activities.
This campsite is a real paradise for children! Our kids were almost unstoppable: feeding animals, arts and crafts, painting, go-karting, rafting, barbecuing - no one is guaranteed to get bored here. There is also a large playground, a river to play and splash around in and a sports and games hall for all weathers.
We felt completely at home as a family and our children didn't want to go home at all. I think that says it all! 😊
Thank you very much for the wonderful time - we would love to come back!

Beautiful campsite
Beautiful, quiet campsite, top sanitary facilities, top restaurant, top operator and friendly. Top pitches. All in all, something for everyone, whether swimming pool, gym or playing in the stream, rafting, playing in the mud. Or feeding the wild animals.
You can also make nice trips to Bad Wildbad or cycling on the Enzradweg etc. We enjoyed the long weekend

What positive things should I mention here? The opening hours, you can check in until 11pm. Ordering bread rolls works great. It's quiet and the location is of course perfect due to the nearby attractions, especially in Bad Wildbad. But the price of 40.15 euros (without electricity) for parking the camper... van for less than 24 hours is steep. And now that we're getting into the negative, the space is ok, but in the rain you may need a little more steering maneuver to park the vehicle properly. And if you want to stand reasonably straight, don't forget the chocks, at least in some of the spaces. I can't explain the thing with the non-existent mirror. Maybe it's supposed to be funny, but why? There should be a mirror in front of a washbasin, not a window. What's the point of constantly seeing someone coming out of the loo when I'm shaving? Ok, the old plasters from the first aid kit are finally being used. Otherwise, the sanitary building was clean and tidy. Electricity is charged according to consumption and at 0.85 euros per kWh is already in the slightly higher range. And remember: camper van drivers greet each other.

We stayed one night in this campsite, and were told that checkout is at 12.00. 11.30 we walk to the reception to ask if it’s okay to extend our checkout to 13.00 (to finish our laundry - we’d been waiting for the machine all morning) and we were told ‘yes, no problem’. However, when checking out at 13.00... they charge us 10€ for the extra hour and tell us its ’standard procedure’.
If they’d told us when we asked one hour earlier, we’d not done the laundry which ended up being a really expensive machine now.

- Crafting for children for a fee (bag painting €10, silk cushion €23...) - It was a game of chance with the showers. Sometimes it was hot, then cold, then lukewarm. But not every one was like that. - The animals were very muddy due to the rain - we would have liked footboards or at least straw laid out - There could have been more of a children's program
It was a great week
All in all, it was a really well-equipped place. Our child quickly made friends and when the weather was good, there was plenty to do in the surrounding area. The site wasn't too big, so you could send your child to get bread rolls on their own - that was great. But we found it a real shame that the... children's program, which takes place daily from 10-12 o'clock, always costs and not just a little. What do people with several children do? The facilities at the campsite were really good. The indoor pool had 29.5 degrees warm water, the outdoor pool 22 degrees. The games hall had a lot to offer, from table tennis to large Legos, there was plenty for all ages. As I said, my highlight was the free industrial dishwasher - I never thought I'd find that on a campsite. But what I don't understand is who came up with the idea of putting a pane of glass between the toilet area and the shower area as a window. A mirror on each side would have made more sense. And you had to be lucky with the showers. Sometimes the temperature did what it wanted but not what we wanted. What would also be great would be to have shelves for shower gel and shampoo in the showers in the wash house. Otherwise we liked it, so it's definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful turn of the year in a quiet location
We had very nice days at the campsite. The site itself is very clean, which also applies to the wash houses and sanitary buildings. The location of the site offers the opportunity to slow down, as it is away from the hustle and bustle between a river and a forest. Numerous hiking trails start directly... at the campsite. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. We were given lots of information on arrival.
The campsite is a little out of the way, which means that a car is required for excursions (you can hire one at the campsite). However, it has to be said that there is a so-called call bus that is free of charge and takes you to Bad Wildbad.

TOP family campsite
We were two families on this campsite for three nights. Our very large pitch was right next to a stream, so we were able to stand with three vehicles (motorhome and caravan with towing vehicle) and still have enough space. There would have been enough space for a third vehicle, but we were able to use... the remaining space for a campfire. A fire bowl is available to borrow from the store and the firewood is also sold there. After our hikes and sporting activities, we were able to cool our feet in the adjacent stream. A water connection was available on the plot, but unfortunately the electricity connection was more than 25m away.

The sports hall, the indoor swimming pool, the animal enclosure, the vehicles to borrow and the rafts were used by our children (9 & 12) and they were very enthusiastic about the many possibilities.

During our stay, the middle sanitary block was always clean and tidy, despite the fact that the site was quite fully booked for the long weekend.

When we arrived, there was an awkwardly long queue of vehicles that stretched all the way up to the main road. There was only one member of staff at reception to deal with all the guests.

Location and facilities TOP - friendliness could be improved
The site is in a very quiet location in great surroundings. Many pitches are right next to a stream. The site has a lot to offer families (including a torch-lit hike during our stay). Facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as a spacious sports hall with goals and table tennis,... which is also open until late in the evening.

Unfortunately, the pitches were not completely paved, so there was a lot of mud - but other pitches looked good.

The food in the restaurant was fresh and very tasty. We also thought it was great that the sauna was made available to all guests free of charge for two hours on one day.

Unfortunately, there were also two negative points:

There was literally a queue at the registration desk and there was a traffic jam all the way to the main road. The gentleman (alone at reception) was visibly stressed (understandable!), but there wasn't a single friendly word - just a quick process. Even with a lack of staff and stress, every guest should be made to feel welcome.

In the evening we went to reception to collect our guest cards. Guests before us and we had "tourist" questions. The lady at the counter was visibly annoyed by all the questions. As a "tourist" place to stay, it's a shame! Of course you can have a bad day, but the paying guest shouldn't notice that.

--> Nevertheless, a very nice place and definitely suitable for families.

Many offers for young & old
We had a lovely stay at the campsite during the fall break. It has lots to offer, especially for children (rafting, great water playground, construction room, sports hall, swimming pool, etc.). We also thought it was great to be able to hire a fire bowl. The look/design makes you feel a bit like you're back in the 90s/00s, but everything is very clean and well-kept. An industrial dishwasher can be used free of charge to make washing up easier.

Nice short vacation despite bad weather
We spent a long week with our toddler on the site. Although the weather was rainy and cold, we had a lot of fun and relaxation thanks to the many activities for children.
Unfortunately, we could only book 5 nights when we booked, but we were able to reduce this to 4 on site. The price-performance ratio... is good.
The site is long and the pitches are large and level. There is water and waste water on site. Electricity is charged per kWh, which is expensive with a fan heater, but fair.
The sanitary blocks are well maintained and generally clean. You can forgive one or two impurities. There are enough toilets and showers. The washing-up area is a bit cramped, but there is a FREE industrial dishwasher. 4min and the dishes are clean. Great thing. There is also a cleaning machine for toilet cassettes at reception. Also a great thing for €1 per cleaning including sanitary fluid.
There is always something for the children. There is a swimming pool with outdoor pool (summer), a sports hall with various children's playrooms. Children's playrooms, table football, table tennis and much more. There are also two large playgrounds with a water playground and a short rafting course on the small Enz river and an animal enclosure with goats and deer. There are numerous vehicles to hire, from bobby cars to go-karts. Bicycles can also be hired.
The supermarket is almost better stocked than some camping stores. There are also drinks, food and a bread roll service. Various homemade spirits are available at reception - delicious.
We didn't try the restaurant, but it's said to be good. Homemade cakes are offered at lunchtime.
The owners were very nice and helpful. We therefore cannot agree with the previous reviews.

Conclusion:
Beautifully situated in the Kleinenztal valley near Bad Wildbad, Bad Liebenzell and Calw. We will definitely be back....

A really nice campsite with great facilities for children.
However, the staff seemed totally overworked at the moment (reception was simply closed to show us a pitch) and there was only one contact person. The sanitary facilities were only cleaned superficially (if at all) and in the restaurant there... was only one waitress who did as good a job as possible .....

Too bad the place has potential and seemed to have been better catered for in the past.

Worst and most expensive campground ever! You pay money for WiFi that doesn't work anywhere all over the park. You pay with 3 people for 1 night almost 40 euros, toilets are filthy. Changing rooms at the pool are full of water and there are hairs everywhere. At check out the campsite charges more money than agreed. In short, drive a little further there are plenty of better campsites in the area.

An ideal place to go for a short break
The campsite is very idyllically situated in a long valley. There is plenty on offer for children up to the age of 12: Playgrounds, rafting on the dammed "Kleine Enz", swimming pool, indoor pool and indoor playground - there is something for everyone and all weathers. Occasionally, activities such as... "candle making" are also offered. The entire site is tidy, very clean (e.g. our sanitary building no. 3) and firmly in the hands of children (so drive slowly). We were allowed to choose our own pitch and made a good choice. The neighbors (permanent campers who are also mobile with their cars) were very nice and we immediately got into conversation. There are lots of things to do nearby: cycle paths start from the campsite or you can drive to Bad Wildbad (e.g. treetop path, suspension bridge) or Pforzheim (gasometer). In short: the site is absolutely perfect for a short change of scenery and has something to offer for everyone and all weathers!

Careless and dilapidated
We were on the site over Whitsun with two families with caravans. The site was very, very full, every gap was filled and so there was no space left for the children to play. The playground is in a desolate state and far too small and cramped for the number of children. The pool is very small and the... indoor pool is quite smelly. The sanitary facilities are new, but not particularly clean. A large part of the site is occupied by permanent campers and the remaining pitches are rather small. Although you are in the middle of the forest, you can clearly hear the road that runs alongside the site. I also found the noise of the motorcycles on the road disturbing. Unfortunately, the operator was not very friendly either, €45 per night for a family with two small children is not cheap either. What's more, a kilowatt hour of electricity costs a hefty 68 cents. (Green electricity is a bargain by comparison...) We won't be back.
