We had booked a one-week stay for the end of May, but had to cut our stay short due to numerous issues:
Restroom facilities: The men’s showers were closed due to water damage that had been known about for months. The only alternative was a very cramped, makeshift shower container.
Electricity:... There was only one central power distribution point in the camping area, so cables were laid unsecured across the driveways, and cars had to drive over them.
Service: The advertised Wi-Fi did not work. We also purchased an ice cream at the kiosk that had a best-by date covered up with a sticker.
Management: During a conversation at the front desk regarding our early departure, management showed no understanding or willingness to accommodate us. Even a fair compromise offer to split the remaining costs was brusquely rejected.
Conclusion:
While the location on the Elbe is beautiful, the condition of the infrastructure and guest service unfortunately do not meet the expected standard. We particularly liked the natural camping area with beautiful trees in the "orchard" behind the dike. Free choice of pitch without parcelling is really great! Really great! We were right next to the chicken enclosure. The rooster must have had problems with the changeover to summer time on the first morning! At shortly after 4 the night's rest was over! But no problem! On the second morning he must have overslept... It wasn't until shortly after 8.00 a.m. that he was called away! For day trips to Hamburg, we recommend taking the car to the Allermöhe S-Bahn station! There is a free parking lot directly at the S-Bahn station (about 20 km from the campsite)! There are also good shopping facilities there (Edeka, Penny, Roßmann etc.) We liked it here very much! Absolutely recommendable!NegativaSongs was the WLan a bit slow! Otherwise everything was great!Very beautiful natural campsite directly on the ElbeWe were very satisfied and will definitely spend a longer vacation here! We simply loved it! The sanitary facilities are absolutely clean and are cleaned twice a day. There is a constant effort to keep the place tidy and clean. The view of the adjacent Elbe gives you the right vacation feeling and guarantees... relaxation. Something very special is the play of colors of the sunset every evening on the opposite side of the Elbe - people gather on the banks of the Elbe, take colorful photos or simply enjoy the evening atmosphere.
If you want to make a detour to nearby Hamburg, you can take the B404 and A25 to Allermöhe and from there the S21 to Hamburg - quick and easy.

Our pitch in the "garden", which has a park-like character with old trees and lots of greenery, was generously sized like all the others. The lack of plots gives the garden a natural atmosphere.... A really nice environment where you could feel at home.
The sanitary facilities were always very clean, but unfortunately far too small, so there were often waiting times. Due to Corona, the facilities were also reduced, so that, for example, only one wash cubicle, one washbasin and one children's washbasin were available for the men.
The situation was similar for washing up, where only two people could be in the room at the same time. Incomprehensibly, the cleaning times were scheduled twice a day - actually very welcome - at noon and in the evening from 8 pm for at least an hour each time at a time when the sanitary facilities are heavily frequented, so that queues regularly formed. During the cleaning times, there were no alternative options for the sanitary facilities.
You can go on beautiful bike tours on both sides of the Elbe from the site. All in all, we liked it. Card payment would be desirable.
