Quiet campsite on the outskirts of the village, short walk into the village or directly onto beautiful footpaths along the Ammer. Very well run site by the Häringer/Baur family, everyone is very friendly, someone is always available to answer questions. Plenty of sanitary facilities and always clean.... Fresh bread rolls are available (local bakery Aurhammer) and gas exchange is also possible. Entry is also possible during the lunch break. Between Christmas and New Year's Eve there were also several program items on offer. With the guest card you can travel by bus free of charge. (e.g. to Ettal, Linderhof or Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and by train to Murnau.
We always feel very comfortable at this place.
Booking was easy. The place was also lovingly decorated for Christmas.

super campsite in a great location
From the reservation to the check-in top. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a great briefing. Everyone at the campsite is really friendly and helpful.
The comfort pitches are super large and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are always clean and ok overall. Only the men's showers... are very small and cramped. Super bread roll service with a great selection. The location is perfect with a beautiful mountain panorama and many leisure activities, which is also very advantageous, is the proximity of the village, you are in 10 minutes in the center with many stores, restaurants and a great ice cream parlor.
We would definitely come back again.

Well-run campsite, beautifully situated
We stayed at this campsite a few years ago and felt very comfortable there again this time. The welcome and service is very good, you can come with any questions. The sanitary facilities were always very clean. Bread roll service, and a good one at that: put your bread rolls on a list the day before,... just pick them up the next morning and pay on departure. This saves queuing as with many other campsites. Gas exchange is also possible. The site is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Oberammergau. Only a few minutes' walk into the town. Drinks vending machine on site, in the evening the Stadl was open. (drinks), The pitches are large enough and graveled, which is very good in winter, you hardly carry any dirt into the motorhome. With the guest card you can travel by bus free of charge (e.g. to Ettal, Linderhof, Garmisch) and by train to Murnau. We also found it very good that you can enter the campsite on arrival during the lunch break thanks to the barrier (and unlike many other campsites, there is no traffic jam in front of the campsite during the lunch break). There is a list of names and pitches posted at the reception door and you can park up and make yourself comfortable.

Good campsite as a stopover
We were here on our way through from Italy. Despite the reception being closed at midday, we were able to move into our pitch. The entrance always works and there is a map for reserved new arrivals at the reception. So you already know your pitch number.
We've never had this service before. The electricity... then has to be switched on by the staff.
The pitch, the sanitary facilities and the surrounding area are all tidy and clean. The bread roll service works and is paid with the final bill, just like the electricity used. You get a card for the exit. We can't say any more as we were only there for one night. We paid €66.60 for four people with WW and €2.35 for electricity.

On the German Alpine Road
Our next and third stop on the German Alpine Road for two nights was the Park-Camping in Oberammergau.
We arrived on 05.10. at 12:00. The receptionist asked us if we had a reservation, when we said no she said, great it's 12:00!
When we looked at the opening hours, we saw that the young woman was working... overtime because of us. We were connected to the campsite's electricity supply and the rest of the formalities were completed after the lunch break. The two young operators or employees of the campsite were friendly and kept their cool. The sanitary facilities are in good, tidy condition and were very clean during our two-day stay. Due to the proximity to the town, it takes about ten minutes on foot to go shopping in Oberammergau, the bread roll service offered is perfectly adequate and we were happy to accept it. All the pitches are large, several are big enough to accommodate gigaliners. In fact, there was an MB-based Phoenix on one pitch and a Morello on another.
The site is close to the Ammer, which is spanned by massive steel scaffolding at the CP, which is covered with wooden boards and a safety railing in winter so that cross-country skiers can cross the Ammer. It's a shame that these "part-time bridges" are not built in the other seasons. We really enjoyed Oberammergau and the Oberammergau campsite, so we will be back.
The highlights of the CP are: The size of its pitches, the hiking opportunities from the campsite, its proximity to Oberammergau.

Pleasant campsite on the outskirts of the village
We stayed at the campsite for a few days and had a quite large pitch, but right next to the waste station. As the campsite was no longer fully occupied at this time, there was not really any significant noise nuisance. Overall, the campsite made a good and clean impression.

The staff at reception were... very friendly and helpful throughout. It was unusual that we had to pay for the entire period on arrival.

The sanitary facilities, which can only be entered with a chip, were clean, but the shower cubicles were unfortunately a bit cramped.

The prices for accommodation, electricity etc. are "upper league". However, we were able to get over it as we were able to use the free shuttle bus to the Passion Play.

There are neither shopping facilities nor a restaurant on site, but there is a bread roll service.

For 5 nights in a motorhome with 2 people (arrival Sunday afternoon, departure Friday morning) including WC and shower facilities, a total of
257,40 € plus 15,-€ electricity consumption.
This corresponds to a price of 54,48€ / day
for a "gravelled pitch without shade" and seems far too expensive in view... of the service offered.

After driving on, I was shown a beautiful campsite on the Kochelsee with a grassy area and tree shade, and the opportunity to visit a restaurant with a reasonably priced menu,

Ideal location for Oberammergau
Sanitary facilities are getting on in years, does not correspond to a 4 star site. The pitches are very narrow, mostly without shade, hard gravel surface. Pitches could do with a bit more maintenance. For motorhomes parked on the motorhome port, there are many prohibition signs. Motorhomes parked on the site can only fill up with water in jugs free of charge.
Price-performance ratio is not right. Too expensive for what it offers.

Clearly laid out, cozy and small with a wonderful location. The Kofel is our friend. Everything was great, a good choice at the end of our motorhome trip. Friendly and helpful operators - we'll be back!

Clean and quite dry ground thanks to gravel, even when it rains. Very well-kept building with reception, washroom, toilets, scullery, toilet, waste disposal, washing machine and dryer. Place with magnificent surroundings
If you want to set off from the campsite to many great places in the area, this is the place to be. But that doesn't mean the site isn't good! The sanitary facilities and pitch are very clean. The operators are very friendly. Bread roll service on the pitch. Oberammergau is very easy to reach on foot.... Hiking, cycling and mountain biking can be started directly from the campsite. The surrounding area offers so much that a week's stay is certainly not enough. We would love to come back!

Nice cozy campsite
The operators are very friendly and helpful. We were provided with tools for a repair on our camper as a matter of course. Many thanks again! The sanitary facilities are clean and adequate. We liked it very much and will definitely be back!

Central location. Public transportation only a few minutes away. Town center also within walking distance. Sanitary facilities were clean. Operators are very friendly.

Place a bit unkempt overall. No store, no pool, the mini golf course is a building site and certainly out of use for a long time. Depending on the wind, you can really hear the main road.
Small square with a few flaws
Oberammergau is certainly a beautiful place and the surroundings are fantastic, but I don't understand how four stars can be awarded here.
