"outdated, unkempt place - Our rating in brief: outdated, unkempt site with many huts and few pitches. Sanitary facilities are unsightly. There is no gray water disposal. Service is unfriendly. Prices are completely exaggerated due to poor quality. Le Croix du Sud is on our list of places to avoid. Contrary to its name, this is not a campsite, but rather a wildly mixed jumble of wooden huts, tiny houses and old caravans. The site is outdated, run-down and unkempt. Even the reception at the entrance gave us this impression. The pictures on the website are embellished and do not reflect reality. Most users seem to be permanent tenants and campers. There are only a few pitches for mobile vacationers, and these are at the upper end of the site. It is difficult for travelers to reach because you always have to cross the entire site. The pitch allocated to us was far too narrow for our caravan (Fendt Apero, 7 m). There was no space left for our awning, so we couldn't put up any sun protection. There was also an ugly, gray-brown concrete wall directly opposite our door. The wash house was once designed for a campsite. Due to the many huts, only half of the complex is still in use. The rest is just locked up. The existing facilities are outdated and dingy. ATTENTION: There is no gray water disposal. You have to go to the public disposal point in Ramatuelle. Completely unsuitable for caravans with a small gray water tank! The toilet cassette is disposed of in a disgusting tank. The service in the restaurant was unfriendly. 100 meters down the road is a great pizzeria, a little more expensive but with much better and friendlier service. It's worth the walk there. The price for a parking space of EUR 50 per day is completely excessive for the quality of the space. Le Croix du Sud is the worst site we have visited so far. Like the pitch

"Good location but poor service - The campsite is centrally located (you can get to St. Tropez quickly), beautiful beaches nearby and the bungalows are fine. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately not very well maintained and you have to shower in the dark with cold and little water. The service was quite poor. Our booking only worked after the 4th attempt and thanks to the poor organization we could only leave an hour later than planned. All in all, not a particularly good campsite with staff who hardly speak any English and certainly no German.

A three-stars campsite. Handy for Saint-Tropez. La Croix du Sud is perched on a little hill in an enchanting setting of parasol pines, eucalyptus, oleanders and mimosas. The fabulous fine sandy beach of Pampelonne will be a sure-fire hit with …the entire family. You can enjoy the full programme of sporting and cultural activities offered by the surrounding seaside resorts,while for those looking for a break in the country, the Saint-Tropez peninsula or the quaint village of Ramatuelle are amust. What makes this site appealing Shady pitches, The small fun swimming pool with lagoon and paddling pool will be a hit with children, The beach, 2 km away, is accessible via a cycle path (one road to cross).
