Apparently no dogs allowed but we can't find anything about that on the website and then you get a paper with cash payment of 38€ that dogs are not allowed in common area !!!!
Good for transit without a doggie
Not kind regret that we stopped there after a trip of seven hundred kilometers

Unsuitable for cyclists and 20 years out of date
The site is not set up for tourists, especially cyclists. The groundsman was friendly at first, but became increasingly annoyed when we asked. With shower tokens and shower/wash times, all sockets in the washrooms were locked: we thought it had not been like this for 20 years. And we hadn't experienced... it on the other 4 campsites on the tour. There was enough space for 4 tents on the small tent meadow - and there were also electricity and water connections. But they were all locked - and when asked, the answer was unfriendly: "No electricity on the tent meadow!" And we were traveling by e-bike......In an adjoining sanitary room (initially locked) there were lockers with electricity upon further request. The fridge offered for day guests was not plugged in - could only be switched on by the staff. The showers had no temperature control - unfortunately much too hot. The nearby A3 with noise disturbed us the least, the high-voltage power line running directly over the CP rather. It was generally clean, but the toilets smelled slightly bad.

Droppings of Nile geese, noise level due to nearby highway

We (2 adults + 2 children) stayed at Mainparksee last year. In principle we liked it there very much, the lake and the surrounding area are great and easily accessible, the staff friendly and helpful, but... Unfortunately, last year almost the entire beach area and large parts of the footpaths were literally... littered with droppings from the very numerous Nile geese there ;-( After a phone call today (my wife didn't want to go there anymore because of the droppings), I was told that the Nile geese were still there - unfortunately there was nothing they could do about it.... After this equally disappointing and unsatisfactory answer, we will prefer not to visit the Mainparksee this year and will not go there again in the coming years - because it is simply disgusting and certainly not necessarily healthy! It is incomprehensible to me how a lake operator can (has to?) watch paying guests stay away because the Nile geese are chewing everything up - but as it is at the moment, I can only advise everyone not to go there!

High-rise appearance in the middle of an industrial area - uninterrupted noise from the highway in the immediate vicinity

As you can see in the photos, the appearance is characterized by high-rise buildings - the acoustics are due to the A3 freeway running in the immediate vicinity and then this lake also offers numerous Nile geese to defecate on the paths and meadows. Not recommended!

OK when passing through!
We stopped here on the way home from Italy. The pitch is very tidy and the grass is very pleasant. The lake nearby is a great place to "cool off and relax". The skyline in the background (skyscrapers) was also interesting. Sanitary facilities well maintained and clean. The proximity to the highway, which... of course also has advantages (directly on in the morning), of course has the disadvantage of the background noise of the A3. That was a bit annoying, but not to be expected with the advantage.

Ok for one night
The place was ok for an overnight stay as part of a multi-day Main cycle tour. It was wonderful to swim in the lake in the evening. However, the never-ending car noise (near highways / freeways?) was very annoying. I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer than one night.

Very nice staff...
Arrival on Friday night at 23.30...normally until 21.00...Her Hiller just wanted to go home and then let us in in a very friendly way...we thought that was really great...Otherwise a campsite for transients, although a few days there are very good to endure...very nice lake and large beach area...great for children...Thanks again
