"Charged Twice, No Assistance, Not Family-Friendly. - We stayed at Klosterneuburg campsite in Vienna for one night with our motorhome from 31 of August till 1 of September. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed that our name was missing from the pitch list. Unfortunately, it was Sunday evening and the reception was already closed, so there was no support or guidance available. By chance, we met another guest at the entrance who kindly gave us his reservation for one night, and we stayed on his pitch. The next morning, after explaining the situation to the campsite manager and showing our booking confirmation, it turned out that a mistake had been made in the reservation: instead of one night, two nights were entered, and the arrival date was also incorrect. Nevertheless, we were obliged to pay the full price of €61 for one night, including electricity and showers, even though the service and assistance we expected were not provided. The receptionist even charged us twice for the same pitch without issuing a cancellation, which caused us frustration. The pitches themselves are very small and not comfortable for a family with children and a motorhome. Next to the campsite there was a playground, but it did not belong to the campsite. Overall, the management did not take responsibility for their mistake and shifted everything onto us, leaving us without proper information or help!!!! In our view, this shows a lack of customer orientation and flexibility. For families and international travelers, this campsite is not a reliable choice.

"Service Price Performance - Misleading description of when the main season starts in 2025. Coincidence that this year the main season starts during the Bavarian Whitsun vacations...? Pitches extremely small. We had to empty our chemical toilet. There is a machine for this (according to the site management it was forced on them, they don't know why) which is chargeable. For 2 euros we got the cassette back half full, filled with green liquid. At reception I was referred to the man in charge, but he wasn't there. The next day I asked again and pointed out that four of us with a caravan were already paying 77 euros per night and I thought it was outrageous that we had to pay another 2 euros to empty it. Then you get back a cassette that is already half full. Was pointed out to Hygieneaskpekt (?). But then no camper should sit on a toilet. The cassette was also poorly cleaned. The cleaning lady was then informed. She was the first and only person to meet us in a friendly manner. She was allowed to unlock the "old" drain (which is there and is only hidden behind a small chamber with a locked door). We were finally able to empty the cassette completely. There is no choice as to which emptying method you can choose.

"Proximity to Vienna - We chose this place so that we could visit Vienna. It is ideal for this. It would also be very easy to get there by bike via the Danube cycle path. The welcome at reception was very nice. When I had a question days later, the young lady didn't give me the feeling that she wanted to help me. The reception was only manned until 3pm. Also, you can only clean the chemical toilet via a fee-based machine.

"Sightseeing Vienna - We arrived spontaneously and without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a pitch for 6 nights. The pitches are a bit cramped, but that wasn't a problem for us as we were out and about all day anyway. The sanitary facilities were good. However, the price-performance ratio is a bit skewed! 5 per day for electricity and another €2 for emptying the chemical toilet is not reasonable at all. The pitch is ideally located if you want to explore Vienna. However, it is quite noisy as the train and a road are right in front of the pitch. We always went into the city by bike (without a motor) (approx. 15 km into the city). The cycle path network is very well developed, so you can reach everything by bike or on foot. All in all, it was a successful stay.

"Great place for trips to Vienna - We were thrilled in every respect. The site is extremely conveniently located close to the train station, the facilities are kept in excellent condition and are extremely clean overall (including the sanitary facilities). We made trips to Vienna and hiking in the Vienna Woods from here and have not regretted our decision. A real recommendation for other travelers, which we have already passed on several times.

"Great for exploring Vienna - Too bad that the pitches are so close together and the car is not next to the WW. Also no fresh water on site. Sanitary facilities functional but clean. By train or bike you can get from here very well to Vienna - train station 2 minutes away. However, we were almost eaten up by mosquitoes on the pitch in September.
