The block was cold and unwelcoming. The toilets are a row of doors in effect all outside. The majority have no loo roll and don’t seem to be cleaned with any degree of frequency. Our previous site the toilets were cleaned each day and all had toilet paper. I am only comparing to sores we stayed on this visit and by far this was the worst site. Had to go back to the reception and there they were irritated. But especially the plumbing is really not worth 4 stars: it is not cleaned enough and hardly any water came out of the shower. There is no place to clean and fill your chemical toilet so you have to do that in a toilet. There is also no pool and that would be very nice at 40 degrees. Disabled toilet was locked without a door. 1 toilet had a defective locking device. There was also water in the 2 washrooms and in the men's anteroom. Also with the ladies everything wet. 2 wash cabins for men and only 2 toilets each are insufficient for a place of this size. No shopping facilities and no bread service although this is stated on the website. The operators / staff were nice and helpful when booking and on site. Rather small and simple campsite, well maintained. Site was half full at the time, many guests passing through, very... quiet during the day and at night/evening. Some pitches nicely shaded and large enough, no problem even for large caravans. Electricity connection directly on the pitch. Water and waste water connection in the immediate vicinity. Sanitary facilities simple, but well maintained and clean, sufficient in number.
Bread roll service available, supermarket approx. 1.5 km away
Great location for exploring Tours by bike, great cycle paths to and in Tours. Good location for walking the dog too.
