The location on the Main River is great. Everything is within walking distance.
Negatívne
No lighting on the grounds at night; you have to find your way with a flashlight. Electrical boxes are very makeshift and sparse. They only work with loooads of cable, some of which violates safety regulations. The restrooms are reasonably clean, but many stalls are locked. There are neither hooks nor shelves by the sinks…. The “food truck” only offers deep-fried dishes with meat and fries. There’s little variety for vegetarian meals. The staff is very friendly but has only a rudimentary command of German, which makes communication difficult when asking questions.
Is there room for us to stay here?
I don't need to go back there. To me, "well-maintained" means something different from what I found here.

Friendliness and helpfulness at the front desk

1) The waterfront spot we were assigned and paid for was already taken. 2) There were far too few electrical outlets, and long cables were lying around everywhere. 3) The spot we were assigned was uneven right by the water—not even half the price worth. It was more like a fishing spot. 4) Of the alternatives offered, two good ones were also already taken; one was a bit small, and the other was near the trash cans. 5) We weren’t allowed to use the air conditioner (fire hazard—no wonder, given the many outlets per power box). 6) The woman at the front desk couldn’t rebook us, so we immediately drove back home (336 km) 7) No response to my complaint via email
Never again—we left after two hours
A campground just like in the old days, far too few power outlets, long walks to the restroom facilities in most cases, uneven sites by the water—and on top of that, totally overpriced.

Great place, directly on the Main and on the bike path! City center of Wertheim with all sights quickly accessible on foot (15 minutes) or by bike! Very nice team on the pitch! We were "stranded" here by chance, but will definitely be back!

Great location, nice service, bad gastro and mini plots
We stayed at this campsite over the Corpus Christi weekend and were really looking forward to this vacation.
After a friendly welcome, we were able to move into our pitch straight away, although it is very small. We stand with the back of the caravan close to the neighbor's pitch so that they can only... see our caravan ... they have since left. On the drawbar side, the drawbar already reaches onto the neighbor's pitch, and on the rear side, the car is so close to the caravan that nobody can get in at the back.
Fortunately, we only wanted to go on vacation with the awning, which extends 2.50 meters right up to the path.
I think this pitch is a disgrace for the prices charged. Mind you, we had booked in March.
The second point to criticize is the gastronomy. On the outside it says "Auszeit", a café, beer garden and restaurant. The truth on the back looks like this: Loveless beer garden sets put down, a beer pavilion, as you know it from sports festivals. The beer is warm and stale and the food is mainly glutamate.
I reported these two points to reception directly on the day of my arrival, but so far I have not received a reply to this email ... Customer service works differently.

Short trip over Whitsun
Fortunately, the announced full capacity over the holidays was not the case.
It was already very cramped and very noisy due to some groups. The railroad line and the road did the rest.
The few sanitary facilities are simply furnished and were very dingy.
Despite stating the size of the vehicle when booking, no attention was paid to this when allocating pitches. The pitches vary greatly in size and are very uneven and narrow in the standard area.

Relatively unkempt place for a price with 2 people 2 dogs Ww and car (65 €) Due to the size of the site only 1 waste disposal station. The layout of the pitches is good but without direct electricity and water connection and that at such a price.
Mediocre
The CP seems to be affiliated to an organization and you immediately notice that the lifeblood of an owner is missing.
As a transit site for 1 night ok.

Very nice operators, spacious, clean sanitary building. Dog friendly. You can see that a lot has been renovated and improved, e.g. new barbecue area, playground.

We really liked the beautiful, quiet campsite right on the Main. The operators are very nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are new and were clean at all times. Shopping facilities are available directly at the reception or at Lidl nearby. There is also a very good beer garden in the immediate vicinity. We had a large pitch right by the water, from which my men could go fishing. Dogs are also welcome. All in all, we were very satisfied and would come again any time.

During our 5 days on the campsite, we only had drinks and food once in the beer garden. But that was very good....
Beautiful, quiet campsite on the Main
The beautiful campsite directly on the Main has very nice operators, is dog-friendly and is very well located. It is only a few minutes' walk to Wertheim, directly on the Main. My men were able to go fishing directly from the campsite. The site is very quiet and right on the banks of the Main. The sanitary... facilities are new, modern and were clean at all times. There are shops at reception or a few minutes further on in the village.
There is also a very good beer garden in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, we only had drinks and dinner once during our 5 days on the pitch, but this could also be due to the small number of guests. The day before our departure it was much fuller. All in all, highly recommended and we will be back.
