"Poor order and hygiene - The campsites: The campsite was unkempt, overgrown with tall grass and weeds, and completely littered with trash. We were eventually given a spot that wasn’t littered, but we still had the problem with the tall grass and weeds.  When we brought this up at the front desk, we received an unbelievable response from the staff member. She asked us in an annoyed tone if we actually realized how many people complain here every day—she said there was nothing more she could do about it. An absolutely unacceptable attitude toward customer service! The Water Supply: At times, the water supply to the campsites and in the restroom building completely cut out. When we mentioned this, the reception desk brushed it off very half-heartedly with the absurd comment: “Oh, well, I guess you’ve all already used up 50,000 liters of water.” Whatever that was supposed to mean—it’s certainly not customer-friendly. At least, after a while, water was available again for the rest of our vacation. The restroom facilities (a hygiene nightmare): What we witnessed during the cleaning of the restroom buildings was the icing on the cake. Cleaning is done extremely superficially and in complete disregard of any hygiene standards: A single cleaning rag for all restroom stalls. A single cleaning bucket and a single mop for all restrooms and shower rooms.  The whole process apparently took place without any visible cleaning agents or disinfectants. Furthermore, there are no daily inspections. Soap and toilet paper weren’t restocked for days on end, so we regularly found ourselves standing in front of empty dispensers. Outdoor Facilities: In general, the entire outdoor area gives a very unkempt impression. The hedges look disastrous—even after being trimmed, there’s no sign of professionalism here. We had also been looking forward to the beach, but were bitterly disappointed. Only a small portion of it is usable. The much larger section is littered with unidentifiable debris

"Nothing special - Ok for a weekend. The site is getting on in years, not much is invested in the pitches anymore, as well as in the sanitary facilities. There are mainly tiny houses and mobile homes. Since we were there in high season, I can only say that there were a lot of seasonal campers who took up about 80% of the upper pitch and all seemed to belong to one family and entertained the whole site. It was generally very noisy. The lake is quite nice. Unfortunately there are no direct walking paths for dogs other than along the road. We won't be back again.

"No sign of recovery - It is advertised as camping right on the water! The lake is a disaster, green silt everywhere on the water and duck shit as far as the eye can see around the lake. The water has receded massively and the marina is dry. The campsite is not well organized, on arrival there were no more shower tokens (50 cents each = about 5 minutes shower). We also didn't get any tickets for the swimming pool when we checked in. Well, it's more of a swimming pool, which is really mini and the slide is only fun for small children. Now we had set up, the reception was closed and we simply had nowhere to cool off. I only let my dogs into the lake, they definitely had fun there. They also picked up the odd smelly animal carcass from the sand on the beach. The place itself is not very well maintained and you are constantly forced to listen to music until midnight, from drunken permanent guests whose mood is reminiscent of carnival. Children drive around the square on various motor vehicles until late at night. Once it is quiet, you can hear the honest night, ducks chattering, not a trace of peace and quiet on this site! You already pay a lot for a week on this campsite, so it's simply outrageous to charge for a shower and then not even have enough shower tokens! Everyone has to bring their own toilet paper. It's really nice to always walk around the campsite with a roll so that everyone knows where you're going. There is no soap either. The children's playground is getting on in years and very small, then they have a goat and 2 deer locked up together on about 30 square meters, why or for what, no idea

"Spontaneous vacation with great activities - Beautiful park, right on the Dutch border. Always worth a visit after numerous renovations. The new chalets in particular are very well equipped and the surrounding area is ideal for city trips, activities or bike rides. The large lake is ideal for water sports, boat trips or fishing trips! The children had a lot of fun and an outdoor pool with water playground is currently being built.

"Beautiful campsite with potential - We were there in July 2019. The pitches right on the lake are second to none! Parceled out, surrounded by well-kept hedges, with a fantastic view of the water. We've been coming here every year for about 5 years. Unfortunately, the place seems to be in a state of upheaval. The supermarket is closed and the general performance is also declining. For example, the filter system in the free swimming pool is currently out of order. The plaza and playground are crying out for a janitor with a broom and rake. The gastronomy is very changeable. On Tuesday I had an Angus beef burger that left me raving for two days, but unfortunately the exact opposite on Thursday. It may have been due to a different waitress, but the chef also seemed to have changed. Too bad.... The sanitary facilities are in a clean condition, the floor has been renewed. However, you have to bring your own toilet paper. The bathing lake directly in front of the door is heavily used by motorboats, but they keep enough distance from the shore so that swimming is safe. All in all, a recommendable place, but one that should not rely on its location alone.

"Well - Pitches are OK, but nothing more. We were quite far back, pitches 5 & 6, the way to the sanitary facilities was long. Close to the beach, but also noisy because of the road. Sanitary facilities were sometimes dirty. We actually wanted to go motor boating a lot, but we quickly lost interest, the lake is very large, but you are not allowed to go fast there. Only on the Ijssel, about 20 minutes by boat. A plus, the pool, the playground, snack bar and supermarket on site. Price performance: OK.

Ook kunt u genieten van een lekker drankje op het terras terwijl de kinderen zich vermaken in het speelparadijs. GEMAKKELIJK BEREIKBAAR. Camping Jachthaven Rhederlaagse Meren ligt zowel aan de IJssel als aan het Rhederlaagse Meer, omringd door de dorpen Rheden, Lathum en Giesbeek. De camping is zowel per auto, fiets, boot als openbaar vervoer gemakkelijk te bereiken. AUTO Automobilisten …nemen op de snelweg A12 de afslag Westervoort (afslagnummer 27)en vervolgen in de richting van Giesbeek (Rivierweg). Volg hierna de borden Rhederlaagse Meren . Gebruikt u een navigatiesysteem dan kunt u Uitmeentsestraat te Giesbeek invoeren als bestemming. WANDELEN EN FIETSEN Wandelaars en fietsers kunnen in de zomer gebruik maken van het voet- en fietsveer over de IJssel tussen Rheden en Lathum. Meer informatie over deze veerverbinding kunt u krijgen via dhr. L.E.A.van Oyen op tel. 026-4954730 / 06-25357342. Vanaf Zevenaar, Duiven en Angerlo is Rhederlaag bereikbaar via fraaie landelijke fiets)paden. OPENBAAR VERVOER Met het openbaar vervoer neemt u vanuit Arnhem lijndienst 27 (Arnhem-Gendringen) PER BOOT Watertoeristen kunnen op de IJssel tussen km-raai 896 en 897 het gebied binnenvaren.
