A lucky strike
At first we were rather appalled, as the campsite is mainly "home" to Italian permanent campers. However, the operators were very friendly and helpful, marked several free pitches on a map and we actually found our dream pitch at the back. Overall, the site is not far from the beautiful beach (about... 10 minutes on foot or better by bike) and there is no "constant noise" from any entertainment (if there is, you can hear the neighboring site until about 10 pm). There is a children's disco for the little ones, albeit in Italian. As I said, you're not among Germans here, which we found very pleasant. There is plenty of shade, the sanitary facilities are cleaned three times a day and the price is really very interesting. We cycled (with our dog) to Cecina and Bibbona. We were able to find paths that were only a little on the main road. Super great area.
