- Juergen R.May 2019ПоложительныеSuper nice operator couple Cleanliness Close to the city Ideal starting point for visiting Bruges and Ghent Cycle paths without endОтрицательныеToo few washing areas with hot waterA quiet place with great hostsWe had actually planned a week in Sluis to visit nearby Bruges and Ghent. However, we enjoyed our stay here so much that it ended up being four weeks. In particular, the extremely friendly and courteous owners Luc and Ilona, who only took over the campsite at the beginning of the year, played a big part... in making us feel so comfortable. Well, everyone has their own requirements. For us, it was important to have peace and quiet but still be close to the small shopping town of Sluis. The site is right on the edge of the small town and you can easily reach the center within 8-10 minutes on foot. What was remarkable for us was that the stores are open seven days a week. The sanitary facilities are still somewhat influenced by the previous operators. Previously, there was probably a charge for using hot water. The new operators have already changed this. You only have to pay € -.50 (for 5 minutes) for showering. Toilet paper is not available. The two have probably already started to change this. Unfortunately, there is only one wash cubicle with hot water in the ladies' and men's washrooms. All the other washrooms only have cold water, which is a little unpleasant, especially when brushing your teeth. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Everything is cleaned three times a day. Unfortunately, there are always those who follow the motto "after me, the deluge" and don't leave the toilet and washing area as they found them. The site is ideal for visiting nearby Belgium (Bruges, Ghent, Knokke, etc.). It is also ideal for wonderful cycling tours. The sea is approx. 9 km away. Zeeland also offers a wide range of excursion possibilities such as Vlissingen, Middelburg etc. As I said, everyone has their own requirements ... so it should be noted that there are no so-called comfort pitches. Each pitch only has an electricity connection. The advantage is that you can park your car on your pitch. There is a boules court and a large playground for children. There is also a restaurant, which is open from Friday to Sunday, at least in the low season. There is no bread roll service, but this is not really a problem due to the proximity to the town. W-Lan is also available (€3.50/day, €15/week). We already had free Wi-Fi at many campsites and initially we wondered whether we should book it. The bottom line was that it was ok, because it worked really well! From our point of view, the clarity of the pricing could be improved, as it is not visible on the homepage or in any other form. According to the operators, they are considering adopting Acsi's pricing next year, which we would welcome as we travel with Acsi ourselves. In conclusion, we will definitely be back, as the overall package meets our expectations exactly, even if one or two points could be improved. We wish the two hosts every success with the implementation of their ideas for the redesign!Перевод автоматический.
- Michael H.August 2015ПоложительныеVery quiet location, good starting point for excursions to Belgium and FranceОтрицательныеnoneQuiet campsite, suitable as a starting point for many excursionsThe campsite is in a very quiet location near the small town of Sluis. Sluis is a beautiful and well-arranged small town that can be easily reached on foot from the campsite. There are restaurants and plenty of shops here, including a very good fishmonger, ALDI and EMT (a Dutch supermarket). Sluis is... close to the Belgian border. You can easily reach Ghent, Bruges and Antwerp. Brussels is about 105 km away. It is also worth going to Dunkirk (France). From here, ferries run several times a day to Dover. The area around Sluis is also very suitable for cycling. In Cadzand or Knokke you can go to the beach and swim. The campsite is very clean. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly. Showers cost 50 cents. You put 50 cents in a machine and choose a shower cubicle. You then have 5 minutes to shower. The campsite is very quiet. At night you can hear the occasional cry of a peacock from the small zoo. There is a restaurant right next to the reception where musical events are also held. The owners speak German and other languages and are very friendly and accommodating.Перевод автоматический.
