Alternative site for Rochiemurchus and Glenmore CP
As both of the above campsites were supposedly full to bursting due to the weekend and good weather forecast, the very helpful receptionist at Rochimurchus CP sent us to Dalraddy. The site is located in the forest, is very large with lots of rental accommodation and a huge camping meadow. Unfortunately,... the sanitary facilities are old and musty, even though parts of them have been renovated. The cleaner (!) hasn't worked hard either. The road on which the site is located was quite busy and easy to hear due to the partial closure of the highway. You should definitely ask at the reception for a hard-to-find footpath and cycle path between the railroad and the stream, otherwise you have to walk forever along the country road without a footpath or cycle path. In September, the opening hours of the reception were very limited, but at least there were a few groceries and camping utensils. We recommend the beef, which is offered by local farmers.
