Pleasant reception in café with food and sandwich service. Clean sanitary facilities. Spacious layout of pitches. Half are equipped with electricity. Views of sea and surrounding mountains. Good walking possibilities. Sea kayaking. If you get up early you can explore the island from the campsite. Price is in accordance with offered. Discount at Castle Dunveggen.

Access road is 11 km of single road. This requires steering with caravan. Camper goes easier. First 4 km and last 4 km are doable. Middle section requires leveling sides and new asphalt. Store is 25 km away. In strong wind from south you have no shelter.
Nicely located campground. Basic.
Back to basics. No wifi or mobile phone. Well old-fashioned landline. Only at forest waterfall connection again. 4 km back.

nice place but the owner is to be avoided
OK let me admit, the surroundings are wonderful but the guy who runs the place is a disgrace for all Scottish people. We were there with a group of 50 cars. When I asked for electricity we had to pay 6 pounds extra for electricity which I perfectly understand. We intended to stay 2 nights so we paid... 12 pounds. This evening however it started raining very hard and as I am driving a classic car and rain poured in, we decided to leave the day after. So I went up to the bar but the guy immediately made clear that he does not do refunds. As my pocket money was still in my car i asked if he could offer me a 2 pounds coffee instead. The grin he gave me at that moment, I can never forget. It must have been the biggest ...hole I met during the whole trip (maybe in my entire life). So my suggestion to you, is drive down there, take your free parking and go for a walk. Afterwards find a friendlier place to stay.

A little off the main road, on the shore of a bay (Loch Brittle), lies this rather simple site. Unfortunately, the beach consists of gray, sometimes almost black, sand. There are almost exclusively grass pitches without electricity. Only 6 pitches have electricity and the ground is gravelled throughout.... At the beginning of June, we paid 25 pounds for our motorhome with 2 people, including electricity. Dogs are free of charge. The sanitary facilities are very small and out of proportion to the prices charged. An extra 20 pence is charged for showers. Hikes are possible directly from the campsite.

The campground is in a splendid location, secluded and close to the beach. The facility is spartan and rustic; the toilet facility is not very clean and is somewhat undersized during busy times.
