The location is great. The atmosphere was also very peaceful overall—no commotion, no long-term campers.
Отрицательные
The paths are very bumpy and very difficult for people with limited mobility or in wheelchairs. Restrooms are accessible only via stairs.
A simple, pleasant campground right on the Rhine
We spent a weekend here and it was very pleasant. Although the campground is divided into plots and the sites are large, the pitches are still quite close together. For example, the neighbors smoke in front of their awning, and all the smoke drifts over into our trailer. That’s not very pleasant. Although... we had really great neighbors who were also very quiet, there are, of course, those loud chatterboxes who talk the whole campground’s ear off—if they’re on the neighboring plot, there’s no escaping it. It’s not that bad, and it’s only human, but it’s still annoying.
The welcome and farewell were very nice, and it was clean, too. We’ll definitely come back.
We enjoyed hearing the ships; the planes don’t bother us at all.
The bread roll service is good, though unfortunately it doesn’t start until 8:30 a.m.

directly on the Rhine great reception with detailed explanation quick ferry ride to the old town of Düsseldorf
Отрицательные
Sometimes long distances to the sanitary facilities when it rains, the access road is quickly under water
beautiful location directly on the Rhine
At the reception there was a gift package from the trade fair and also documents from Düsseldorf. Everything was explained in detail and you are guided to the site, the pitches are large and reasonably level, the bread roll service is ok, there are 2 different rolls and croissants. The leisure options... are really endless, there are great cycle paths and lots of excursions in the surrounding area.
The sanitary facilities are in containers, which is not possible otherwise due to the flood situation. But it could still be a bit better (see Koblenz, for example). The cleanliness in the sanitary facilities is ok, they are cleaned regularly, but only the floor showers, washbasins and toilets, you can't look further up.
Of course you can hear the ships and airplanes from the nearby airport, but for us this was not disturbing.
But overall the campsite is absolutely ok and can be recommended.

The last time...
This was the fifth time we have stayed here for a weekend and despite the somewhat special nature of the operators, we have always enjoyed staying here. Unfortunately, this time was different. I asked for a late checkout, which has never been a problem in recent years. I regretted that it wasn't possible... this time and mentioned that it hadn't been a problem before, but was then turned away in a very unfriendly manner. He would lose money. Then Mr. Breitbach interfered, made sure that I was Mrs. Schwarz and then said aggressively that we were on the blacklist anyway!!! (We were kindly asked to turn down the music on the first evening, which we did).
We had also not registered our visit, which I affirmed and said that I had simply not thought about it. When I wanted to leave, Mr. Breitbach stood up, stood very angrily at the railing and shouted at me. He reacted particularly aggressively when I mentioned that this type of communication would explain the sometimes very poor reviews. His answer: I don't give a shit about the reviews!
I then said that we wouldn't be coming back, he said that he wouldn't let me do that anyway! We were no longer wanted.

Conclusion: We always enjoyed staying here, but this shameless treatment of paying guests is disrespectful and unacceptable.

Mrs. Schwarz,
With such a "terrible" experience as you describe, we are honestly surprised that you still gave us three stars at the end. In view of your behavior on our site, that is almost generous - and certainly not to be taken for granted. However, your memory seems to have been a little sketchy... when you wrote your review. We are happy to help:
- You have repeatedly disturbed other guests' sleep - we had to intervene several times this time too (Thursday, Friday, Saturday).
- Your visitors were not registered, but were nevertheless allowed onto the pitch by us - including night-time use of the sanitary facilities.
- At reception, you insulted us loudly because we didn't want to grant a free late checkout for two business pitches.
- You also made homophobic remarks ("special kind", as you call it) towards our team.
- Your behavior was so conspicuous that other guests got involved and actively defended our team.
And all this despite the fact that you have long been on our internal blacklist (case with Christiane F.). You were only booked in again due to a booking error.
You were not welcome - and for good reason. Nevertheless, you were not sent away, but received in a friendly manner and treated correctly. The fact that you are now complaining about this is... let's say: remarkable. And now you're complaining publicly that you didn't receive a late checkout?
You, who systematically disregard our rules, disturb other guests, insult staff and then demand an extension for two top seats that were already reserved again? Otherwise you have always stood by Eco.
Are you really serious? We are a family-run course - not a training camp for disrespectful egotism.
Anyone who regularly misbehaves like you is not given preferential treatment here - but is treated consistently like everyone else.

Rhine camping over Whitsun
The campsite impresses with its beautiful location directly on the Rhine and next to extensive meadows and fields. The sky is so wide. Even the registration was very friendly and well structured: a precise introduction supported by pictures on a large flat screen. There was a treat bag for the dogs.... The sanitary facilities are simple, functional and very clean. You can order a variety of bread rolls and croissants from the bread roll service. The whole atmosphere was pleasant, quiet, relaxed; no loud party music, no bawling, grumbling or bickering. We were allocated a top tent pitch close to the sanitary facilities, so we didn't have to walk far. We had neglected to make sure we had access to electricity when we booked. This was kindly provided for us on the operator's own initiative, which was really great!
Although the weather was stormy, cool and very rainy, we got a very positive impression of the campsite. A feel-good campsite that we will book again!

Camping on the beach (almost) in Düsseldorf. Many pitches with water, waste water and electricity. Simple but very clean sanitary facilities. Great beach bar with Spanish influence.
We were there during the trade fair (Caravan Salon) and felt very comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere on the pitch after a stressful day at the fair. We will definitely be back, even if it's not the trade fair :)

And the dog had fun too!

We were here for the camping fair and didn't expect it to be such a fantastic place for a vacation.
You can walk your dog directly across wide meadows to the beach or you can walk your dog in a wide field.
The owners are super friendly and the Spanish beach bar is a real treat.

Campsite directly on the Rhine
The campsite is located directly on the Rhine.
There are various pitches, some with electricity and water.
A daily bread roll service is also offered.
There is a small beach bar with Spanish flair on the site. There is something for every taste here. A simple menu (online only), cocktails, beers and... various wines are available. Unfortunately, the beach bar was only open until 20:00.
A waste water disposal facility is located at the entrance to the campsite.
Very simple but clean sanitary containers are located in the middle of the campsite. These can be reached via several steps. There is also a washing-up area.
A small kitchen is available for campers.
The ferry to Kaiserswerth is right next door and runs until 8.00 pm.
Beautiful cycle paths to Düsseldorf and Kaiserswerth are close to the site.
Very nice service, especially from Rainer Breitbach, including a welcome and farewell gift. We were accompanied to the pitch on arrival. Minor problems with the electricity were resolved immediately.
We would book the site again for short stays, e.g. for the caravan fair.
The air traffic from Düsseldorf airport did not disturb us.

Very nice place, great location directly on the Rhine and great view of Kaiserswerth. The pitches are quite spacious. The staff are also nice and happy to respond to your wishes. The arrival took quite a long time despite the online reservation, why do you have to go through everything you did online again on arrival? You can eat on the pitch, there is a bread roll service - everything is great. We liked it, it's the 2nd time we've been there.
Отрицательные
Sanitary building, scullery drains full of leftover food,
very nice place with a direct view of the Rhine and Kaiserswerth
What we also didn't like is that we wanted to leave later on the day of departure and then had to pay 15 €, which we personally found quite expensive, and we also noticed that the campsite was very empty on that Sunday. We would have understood if there had been a lot going on, but so???? It was departure... day anyway, which could have been solved differently and we also know this differently from other campsites, we decided that the price-performance ratio was not right at all, but that's just our opinion. Even though the airport is very close by, it didn't really bother us.

Absolutely recommendable
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this campsite for 3 weeks. The first time was two years ago for 3 weeks and since it was so nice we have been here again for 3 weeks. When we checked in, our dog remembered that the campsite operators had given him a welcome treat two years ago,... so he was keen to join us at the registration desk. And of course he got another nicely wrapped treat. We can't understand the bad reviews at all, as this campsite is the most beautiful we know and we have been to many campsites in our 23 years as campers and we only book at campsites with good reviews. Our camping neighbors are also all positive about this site and all make a very relaxed and satisfied impression. If you want to relax, you can definitely do so on this beautiful site. It is incredibly cozy to hear the "chugging" of passing ships in the background. In addition to relaxing, you can also go on many bike tours in this area, either just in the countryside or to one of the nearby towns. The area is also beautiful for hiking or walking. All in all, absolutely recommendable!

When the desire for a vacation in the "home port" is greater than the wanderlust.... Rheincamping Meerbusch can not only offer short vacations, but also "real vacations"!!! Unfortunately, this one also comes to an end after 2 weeks. We could have done so much more. The view of the Rhine meadows and the Rhine always makes our hearts beat faster and luckily we'll be back next weekend.

Location, location, location - a real hit. Great location, right on the Rhine ferry across to Kaiserswerth. Watching the big ships from the pitch, in the middle of nature, very beautiful.
You have to compromise on comfort - sanitary facilities, registration, bar in containers, as everything has to be... dismantled for the winter and the site is in an area at risk of flooding. Therefore very basic sanitary facilities - but really clean. Had party neighbors, but they turned it down at 10pm. So it was ok.

On tour with our "Klappi"!
Dear camping friends, we chose this campsite after reading the bad review of a camping family and we liked the answer of the campsite operators (Pippi Longstocking). What did we experience: Arrival 13:07. As we were "new" to this campsite and saw that reception was still open, we politely asked if it... was ok to wait in front of the barrier. The answer: Yes, but although we had an appointment we would check them in. Wow, that's what I call real service. There was a lot going on at the campsite due to the trade fair and we met some great campers. I also hope for the future that campsite operators don't put up with everything from a certain group of campers. We'll be back next year. With kind regards, the Petzold family

Arrived at the CC at 13:03 and the barrier was closed on time.
An operator could still be spotted and when we told him 1:03 pm he let us in after all (comment: Aldi doesn't do that). In addition, we were told that they currently only do not make 1 overnight stay and it must be at least 2 nights, so we... drove after him in the square, since you get the parking space assigned on this CC arrived at such a place we were told that one is still free directly on the Rhine a parking space but only for at least 3 nights is assigned. We didn't want to and couldn't make a quick decision and so it was suggested that we think about it and make it clear after the lunch break. That's what we did, but not that we wanted to stay but that we wanted to drive on - the gate was opened and when I said thank you very much and see you next time, I got the answer "There won't be a next time".
Congratulations to such people who just don't need it anymore, we have already been to this place several times and now it was the last time and we will not make any more recommendations.
