We ended up at this campground by chance because the spots we wanted nearby were "fully booked." Extremely friendly welcome! The sites are large, and we were able to choose one. Fresh bread in the morning without needing to order ahead. Lake about 200 meters across the street, coarse gravel beach, not very crowded. Restrooms are old and rustic, but relatively clean. A snack bar at the entrance. Hard ground. For 22 euros, you can’t complain.

Nice and inexpensive place near the lake
Nice place with good access to the lake. We were relatively close to the road, but this was not as annoying as expected. The pitches are sand and gravel, some with shade.
The reception was friendly and attentive. The sanitary facilities are not a luxury, but by southern French standards they are very... good and relatively clean. You also have to take into account the reasonable price for the location.
A short footpath through the forest leads from the campsite to the lake, where you can go for a swim and paddle.
There are no shops on the site, but there is a very good restaurant that also sells take-away meals. The pizzas are very good. There are also 'theme days', including moules frites once, which were excellent.
We were very satisfied and would come again.

Good camping in the fall
Spacious pitches and friendly staff. No greenery on the pitch, all sand and gravel. The sanitary facilities are FR standard, no toilet paper, some standing toilets and not protected from the wind. This means that the heat goes outside through open doors, which is particularly uncomfortable in cooler... temperatures. However, the facilities are clean. No reservation necessary in October as it is only 10% full. The restaurant and bread service are no longer available at this time.

Simple camping
Simple camping. Sanitary facilities okay, could be better. No toilet paper. Only very small store, but fresh baguettes every morning. WLan only 1/2 hour per day free at the reception. Short distance to the lake, easy to do even with luggage. Only stones to lie on at the lake.

Just opposite the crystal clear azur blue lake. Beautiful area close to the Gorges du Verdon.

Some sites just a few meters from the street and therefore noisy. Some sites with view into the restrooms. Please put some view protection.
Simple Campsite for a reasonable price
While the other campsites in Salles sur Verdon had been booked the entire time we were there even during off-season days, Les Ruisses had some (not many) places. Staff was friendly and helpful in almost all situations. Just in case something does not work smoothly the tone gets rude quite quickly. A... pity. The bar sells baguette and croissant in the morning and the poeple there were very friendly which makes the day start with a smile. Internet was too slow for the price. It is very good that the camp site offers Wifi, but they should change the pricing and make it depend on the data volume. If you pay the min price which is 10 EUR / 3 days, but cannot download an audio book, this is too much. I understand that they cannot offer unlimited bandwidth for everybody. Better you go to a mobile provider store in Manosque (SRF, Orange, ...) and buy a 2 Weeks prepaid card for 10 EUR including 200 MB and add data volume as needed.

Simple, inexpensive space
We actually wanted to go to another site, but they were full. So we just went to this municipal site and managed to get a pitch there. The site is simple and the layout of the pitches is not particularly attractive. But apart from a small part of the site, it's nice and shady. The reception was friendly,... the sanitary facilities are older but were cleaned twice a day, the showers had a nice, powerful jet and were adjustable, which is not a matter of course in France. The area is great, just cross the road and take a dip in the lac de St. Croix. Unfortunately the road is also the problem with the site, it's very noisy during the day, but at least it's quiet at night. The children grumbled: no swimming pool, but the lake made up for it! No need for a bath! All in all, not a great place, but it was fine for just under a week

Although the website mentions a friendly welcome, we were greeted in an extremely rude tone and immediately sent away with the words that our trailer was too big. We arrived at lunchtime with two trailers, 10 and 12 meters long, and had to drive in front of the barrier so as not to block the road. I... left space for cars to drive through. In the 5 minutes it took me to study the opening times and to direct my son and trailer into a side parking position, the person in charge of the municipal campsite came out like a fury, shouting at us in French (we speak French) that we should "get out of there". We were obstructing the entrance. My explanation that we were in the process of parking the vehicles in such a way that we were not obstructing was repeatedly interrupted with: 'You're obstructing, you're too big and there's no room here. Get out of here ...". In my opinion, the man felt disturbed during his lunch break. We looked for another place nearby and were given a friendly welcome. There was no response to a complaint by email to the Office de tourisme in Salles. We will not be staying at this campsite again ....
