Camping Sonnenland is every little adventurer's dream. Whether in the petting zoo, on the giant climbing frame or on the swings - there was always something to do here. We arrived as a family - tired from everyday life, full of anticipation - and left with tears in our eyes, a heart full of gratitude and countless magical memories. You can feel it as soon as you arrive: There is a special atmosphere here. The staff welcome you with a warmth that is not contrived, but honest and deeply felt. Every single member of staff was friendly, warm and helpful - that alone impressed us. The campsite itself is in an exceptionally clean condition, the likes of which we have rarely experienced. Every path, every corner is well-kept, nothing looks neglected. The sanitary facilities are a real highlight - modern, spacious, hygienic and equipped with attention to detail. Our children were unstoppable right from the start. Between the gemstone hunt, the corn bath, the giant water snake, the climbing hill, the Tobe volcano and the pendulum swing, there was nothing left to be desired. The bouncy castles, the cyclocross track, the basketball court, the beach volleyball court and the jumping pillows ensured that there was never a dull moment. But what particularly enchanted us all was the proximity to the animals. The alpacas, donkeys, kangaroos, goats, deer, sheep, mini pigs, baby rabbits, tortoises and even a giant tortoise are trusting and adorable. Our children fed them carrots, stroked them and hardly wanted to let go. It was an honest, almost magical contact with nature, the likes of which are hard to find today. And we adults also got our money's worth: the white sandy beach by the bathing lake, the relaxed atmosphere and the incredibly good food - whether pizza, schnitzel or baked zucchini - spoiled us. The prices were family-friendly, the food was freshly prepared and served quickly. The only downer was saying goodbye. As we loaded the car, our children were in tears. We also felt a lump in our throats. It's rare to say goodbye to a place you've grown so fond of. Sonnenland is no ordinary campsite. It was an endless adventure for our children. They could hardly be stopped from searching for gemstones, romping through the corn pool, being captivated by the water snake or jumping enthusiastically on the Tobe volcano. The bouncy castles, cyclocross track and beach volleyball court left nothing to be desired.
We were particularly touched by the proximity to the animals. Whether alpacas, donkeys, goats, deer or tortoises - every animal was trusting and could be stroked and fed. Our children fell in love immediately - and to be honest, so did we.
We were also spoiled with culinary delights. The tasty, inexpensive dishes - pizza, schnitzel, chicken nuggets or baked zucchini - tasted delicious and were served quickly.
If there's one downside, it's that it hurts to say goodbye. Our children cried as we packed up and we parents were heartbroken. Sonnenland, you are more than just a campsite. Every day was an adventure: conquering climbing hills like a little dragon, cliff jumping, soccer, pendulum swings or a spin on the Radcros track. And then there was this bathing lake with a sandy beach - Caribbean beauty!
We were also well catered for: pizza, schnitzel, corn on the cob in herb butter or onion rings - everything was delicious, reasonably priced and made with love.
When we left, our children were in tears. We also had to swallow. The indoor play hall is also a hit - a moment of happiness whatever the weather. But the absolute centerpiece is the animal area: the trusting pony, the cute mini pigs, alpacas and the adorable baby ducks - we were allowed to cuddle and feed them, simply magical! The animals look well cared for and loved.
In the evening we sat happily at dinner: a fresh Margherita pizza with corn on the cob in herb butter - simple, but sooo delicious. A place that took our hearts by storm! We could feel it from the very first step: This place is hosted with heart & soul. The reception seemed almost familiar - with small gifts for the children and genuine enthusiasm. The site itself - wonderfully clean, lawn like a garden, paths free of dirt,... washing areas gleaming like freshly polished. The sanitary facilities are beautiful, modern and warm - making brushing your teeth in the morning twice as much fun.
A real family paradise: Gemstone hunting, dinosaur hunting, the corn bath - every attraction has this special blend of creativity and quality. The sports and play areas are lovingly equipped, the bouncy castles are fantastically clean. We were particularly touched by the indoor area - our son disappeared there for two hours, laughing and beaming.

We traveled with two children (5 and 11) and our Labrador, who was also completely happy. The private dog run... with water access is simply fantastic! No leash requirement in the area, but play equipment, shade and even drinking areas - you rarely get that!
The children? There was no stopping them! There was a new adventure every day: from the cliff jumper to the slide, then to the pirate bay and a quick dip in the corn pool in between. As parents, we could relax and watch or even join in. Everything is designed to be safe, clean and well thought out.
But the real highlight is the animals. Our children could hardly believe that they could get so close: stroke, feed and even cuddle them. Whether llama, kangaroo or mini-pig - every animal has a home that is lovingly designed. You can tell that animal welfare and children's hearts come first here.
The friendliness of the place is impressive. No hectic staff, no annoyed tone. Instead, honest cordiality - whether at the snack stand, at reception or when answering questions in between. Children can ride their bikes freely here and go into the many animal enclosures to feed the animals. After a few vacations, they already know some of them by name. There are pigs, donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, tortoises, kangaroos etc.
The bouncy castles, the pump track for... cycling, great for all active people.
The lake is very warm and has super soft sand, you can even go for a ride on a SUP, a dream under a little bridge, very idyllic. You can search for gemstones in the sand by the rabbit enclosure, which is a great idea. It's not overcrowded and there are almost always free pitches, the facilities are very clean and everything is easily accessible.
The staff are super friendly and they are very careful not to drive too fast, which means a lot to us.
If we wanted to stay longer on the day of departure, this has always been possible so far. The overtime is simply paid for on departure.
We parents can sit and relax in the meadow while our children have fun and can be free.
There is an indoor play area for rainy weather with giant Lego bricks, we also love the kiosk where we sometimes buy small meals, the staff there are also extremely friendly. The corn bath is perfect for giving the children a wonderful breadcrumb coating straight after swimming in the sea :-)
All in all, the best campsite from our point of view, without looking like an amusement park, without overdoing it. You feel welcome and are treated with an empathy that is extraordinary.
Our children come home after a vacation here dog-tired, with stringy hair, bruises, new friends, collected gemstones and dinosaur eggs and a head full of corn crumbs and experiences.

In the evening we sat happily at dinner: a fresh Margherita pizza with corn on the cob in herb butter - simple, but sooo delicious. Cordon bleu for the kids, chicken nuggets for a good mood - quality at a fair price. Our children especially loved the animals: every morning we went first to the alpacas, then to the dwarf goats and sheep. The giant tortoise was the highlight for our son - he even fed it with dandelions. The mini pigs and rabbits were also allowed to be cuddled, which made our daughter's eyes light up.
The bouncy castle area was truly gigantic. The Tobe volcano had an almost magical attraction for the kids - hardly a minute's rest there! The water snake and the turtle bouncy castle offered a pleasant way to cool off on hot days. For the older kids, the cliff jumper and the climbing hill were a welcome sporting challenge.
It was also very pleasant for us parents: modern, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities, a small bathing lake with a sandy beach and shady spots under the trees. The food was particularly nice: We were skeptical, but the cordon bleu was top, the fries crispy, and the pizza tastes like Italian.
We also loved the gemstone hunt and the corn bath - we've rarely seen anything like it on a campsite. The staff put their heart and soul into their work, are extremely friendly and always ready to help. Attractions without end!
What makes... this campsite really special are the many animals and leisure activities. We had the opportunity to cuddle the kangaroos, which was a highlight for the children. The animals are super trusting and it was a unique experience to pet and feed them. Feeding the deer was also incredibly beautiful - these graceful animals come right up to you and eat out of your hand.
Of course, we also got to meet the donkeys and horses. We visited these friendly animals several times and the children were absolutely thrilled every time. The alpacas were also great fun - they are so soft and the children had a lot of fun feeding them. There are also sheep, goats and rabbits which were also great fun. It was just incredible how close you could get to the animals.
Leisure activities for all ages!
There was never a dull moment for the children. The 10 different bouncy castles, including the climbing hill, the jumping ski and the cliff jumper, really took everything out of the children. So much fun! And the pump track was also a hit - our children could ride their bikes for hours. The soccer pitch was of course also used intensively. Small games were organized here every day, where the children could let off steam.
The pirate bay was another highlight - a large water playground that provided refreshment on the hot summer days. The facilities on the site for children are probably unique in Austria and from bouncy castles to the fantastic lake and the petting zoo, there is never a dull moment.
But... what makes this place an absolute highlight for us is that dogs are not only tolerated here but are very welcome, which is emphasized by the dog zone adjacent to the lake where four-legged friends are also allowed in the water.
The sanitary facilities are clean and there is also a small market which is complemented by a snack bar where you can buy schnitzel, pizza etc.

It should also be mentioned that we are quite different from most campers as we have 2 disabled children and 2 dogs, one of which is not necessarily the smallest of... its kind at 85cm shoulder height.
After just under a week at Camping Sonnenland, I can only say that this site is an absolute dream for families and is also a win-win situation for every dog and its owner, as our animal companions are very welcome here and not just tolerated as on many other campsites.
The bouncy castles and the water slide are really great and even in bad weather there are options such as the large corn pool and the XXL building blocks, which are a great diversion alongside the table football.
I would also like to mention the great petting zoo with rabbits and kangaroos, which is a real highlight and a great joy for the children.
In any case, we would like to thank you for these great 2 weeks of vacation and for allowing us to be your guests.
We can only recommend this place without reservation and would also like to recommend it to parents of children with disabilities for a wonderful vacation & a carefree time in a place where children can still be children, whether with or without a handicap.
