Especially the price and the details of the accommodation that are totally wrong.Disastrous and pure scam!For years I have been using booking.com; this is the first time it has been disappointing. And how disappointing!
When booking there were no reviews yet; therefore it was more difficult to judge and I went mainly by the description: A chalet (but when I contacted the manager because the access instructions... were unclear, he called it 'a cabin'; then I became a bit suspicious.
And it is indeed anything but a chalet.
Some of the imperfections and lies: not a chalet at all. There was no kitchenette present; nothing at all. while in the description literally a "fully equipped kitchenette" . Just peek at the other cabins almost everywhere the same on. 20m2 is in reality 13.5m2.
There was a table; not even a chair (!) i.t.t. what is in the pictures.
There was no bedding; that could be purchased for a fee; but that is also nowhere mentioned on the website. The mattresses are a disaster; dirty and so thin that even a child cannot sleep well on them.
There is a shared bathroom. It turned out to be much more like a dirty and cold laundry room with an even dirtier toilet outside.
And then the price: I paid 58€ ; it is even offered for 69€!
And that while the quality can't even come close to a hostel, where you can stay for as little as 20€. This is 3 times worse and you also pay 3x as much.
I therefore left immediately upon arrival and found other accommodation nearby.
In short, this is all really unimaginable and beyond comprehension. I call it pure scam!
I will not leave it at that; the manager did not even respond to my request for a refund.
An official complaint will be made to booking.com and the Flemish Ombuds Service; I will put a lot of negative energy into it.
Hopefully these kinds of shady providers will disappear as soon as possible!

Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp are easily accessible by car in about 1.5 hours. The site is located in a small forest and has direct access to a park-like area, which is very nice for tent campers. The pitches are parceled out, but still partly special... because of large tree roots. The operator is very friendly, but the sanitary facilities take some getting used to. In the end, we always went to the main house. But the peace and quiet here is unbelievable, you can really relax and enjoy nature. A cycle tour to Zele and the Donkmeer and of course the towns mentioned above is highly recommended. Even in the city center we had no problems getting a parking space in the inner-city parking garage and especially Ghent is an absolute tip, information material is available at the reception (also in German).Tradus automat.

The sanitary facilities are small cabins, each with 4 cabins containing a toilet, washbasin and shower. It was always clean during our visit. Good shopping facilities within a radius of 5 km. On the campsite is really calm (no airplanes or streets hearable). 500m to the campsite there are some restaurants and a supermarket. It would be a good starting point for visiting cities like Gent, Brussels,... Antwerp, Mechelen ,.... The sanitairs are quite old and dark. Because of this cleaning is not that easy I think. Although (Or better: Because) the place was full even in low-season it was 25€ for 2 persons and a caravan! Internet costs extra 1 €. We would go there again, when the price wouldn't be that high.Tradus automat.

Very well upkept sanitary by visitors and owners alike despite there aren't enough washing cubicals for the whole camp but their hospitable and friendly manners from the owners and the well behaviour of other campers was... enough to create a very peaceful and polite atmosphere. We would surely stay with them again when visiting next. And the price was reasonable with the standard they provided. Will recommend to those who interested.
