The campsite "Le Petit Arlane" is a real idyll in the middle of Provençal lavender fields. It offers pure peace and relaxation, but is somewhat remote. Campers without a mobile home should stock up in good time (the nearest shopping opportunity in Valensole is a little far and difficult to reach by bike;... TIP: push your bike through the forest up to the D 56, from there VALENSOLE is easier to reach). However, the small camping store sells the essentials - and is usually cheaper than the supermarkets in town. Spacious pitches and clean, modern sanitary facilities guarantee a pleasant stay. However, the swimming pool is probably too small when fully occupied (in the past you were allowed to swim in the pond!). Le Petit Arlane is a good starting point for numerous activities (some worthwhile destinations from here: Hike through the lavender fields; visit Aix en Provence,......; climb the Montagne Sainte Victoire; Moustiers - Sainte - Marie; Gorge du Verdon;...... ). A special feature of the campsite: there is an adjoining forest where you can hike several kilometers in the nude! Unfortunately, the campsite in Valensole itself is not signposted (only the Camping Municipal). You will find the turn-off about 4 km outside VALENSOLE in the direction of RIEZ. You can't miss the turn-off, the access road to the campsite is a bit "rustic". Another tip: If you want to experience the lavender blossom, you should arrive at the end of June at the latest. The first fields are harvested at the beginning of July.

Very quiet site, great atmosphere. Even when the pitch is full, you never feel crowded. All pitches with plenty of shade under mountain oaks.
