A very conveniently located place to stay after a long day of driving
The campground stands out for its great location near the highway—but far enough away that you can barely hear it. If you pick a spot toward the back, you’ll immediately get that camping vibe. Take a quick dip in the swimming lake, then enjoy some good Bavarian food at the restaurant and fresh rolls... the next morning. Everything a good place to stay overnight needs. The restrooms were okay, but nothing more. The site selection was a bit unorthodox: “You can park wherever you like within the site.” We’ll definitely stay here again if the timing works out.

A truly great campground! The campsites are spacious and offer plenty of room. The modern restroom facilities are very clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly, and everything is exceptionally well-organized—from check-in through your stay, you’ll feel right at home. Its location right on the lake makes the campground especially attractive and invites you to swim, relax, and take walks.

Relaxation in the middle of the city
We actually only wanted to visit our daughter in Ingolstadt for a short time and then drive on south. We ended up staying 5 nights because we liked the relaxed atmosphere and the spaciousness of the campsite so much. The overnight guests drove back onto the highway in the morning and we had a large meadow... to ourselves. The feared noise of the highway turned out to be a subtle background hum, rather disturbing were the tanks on the neighboring BW training area. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about this, but it wasn't every day. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and always well cleaned. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We would also like to emphasize the convenience of the REWE supermarket, which can be reached by bike in 5 minutes. The beautiful old town can be reached by bike in 15 minutes on a pleasant forest or Danube cycle path. A recommendable place, not just for a one-off overnight stay!

Very spacious with beautiful trees and a lake in the immediate vicinity. Directly on the highway, but you can't hear it.

We actually stayed longer when we were passing through. The site is simply beautiful, the lake on the doorstep is great for swimming and has a nice circular path with fitness equipment. Ingolstadt can be reached by bike.

The campsite is located directly on the Auwaldsee lake, which is ideal for swimming as well as simply relaxing. A loop around the lake is just under 2.5 km. It is also very conveniently located on the BAB9. In addition to the shopping facilities at the reception, there is an industrial area 1.5 km away with everything your heart desires (REWE, bakery, Aldi, Lidl, McDonalds etc.). The city center of Ingolstadt is easy to reach by bike or bus (bus stop directly in front of the CP).

The site is used by many as a "transit site" for one night - it is well suited for this. What we didn't like so much was that the "transients" often didn't take hygiene very seriously. But that's not the operator's fault.
Very satisfied - will definitely be back again
The prices are a little too high for the offer - but still within reason.

With a bit of bad luck, the German army practices on its training ground for pioneers opposite the CP. Then there is a bit of noise from engines and tracked vehicles.

However, we didn't hear anything from the nearby BAB9 highway.

Super good & nice
We used the campsite as a drive-through site. And that's how I rate it! Lots of space and beautifully situated. Freeway in the immediate vicinity. But that was ok. 2 minutes from the exit. Nice reception and we were able to leave the site at 6am the next day. Good restaurant right in front of the pitch. Very good! Nothing to complain about.

Spacious, park-like character, not parceled out, very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, beautiful lake surroundings, breakfast rolls can be ordered, beer garden and mini golf next door
Negatywne
Shabby permanent pitches that are disintegrating, too expensive (45 € per night for 2 people) for what is offered, highway sometimes noisy, depending on the wind direction.
Too expensive
Nice place with friendly staff, but too expensive for what is offered.
