There's no dog park; you have to leave the premises entirely to walk your dog. The front desk wasn't familiar with this app either, and there were no discounts or small gifts. Why is this place listed??

We cannot recommend this campground. There aren’t enough showers and restrooms for the number of guests it can accommodate. The individual bathrooms are showing their age, and the individual wash stations are very cramped and have no doors. Unfortunately, my husband lost his access card for the restroom... and shower area right at the start, without even using it. We were charged 25 €! for that. Of course, we were charged the full amount for our early departure due to continuous rain, but we didn’t expect anything else. Electricity is a flat rate of €4 per day. The woman at the front desk didn’t seem to care whether we felt comfortable, would return, or would leave a negative review. She wasn’t exactly friendly, but fortunately, there’s plenty of competition.

Unfortunately, the campsite was very uneven; after a thunderstorm, the area turned into a lake-like landscape where the water drained away extremely slowly. The children’s “playground”—consisting of a swing set—was extremely neglected and urgently needs to be replaced and expanded; it was in very poor condition.
We'll be back!
Some of the campsites have been newly laid out and are a good size. The restroom facilities are well-equipped and clean. The campground is mainly frequented by RVs; we were there with a trailer. The staff was friendly and helpful.

But what we didn't like about both (2024&2025) stays (and why we won't come back) is the way we were treated during the billing process.

We were new to camping and traveling with a roof tent on a Tesla. On our first visit last year, we were told that electricity was a flat rate of €4 per night. For... me, that meant I could plug in the car and, as I had a fridge inside, simply draw the 3kw. Then my battery is a bit fuller than when I arrived, but at least my fridge and the like don't drain my battery unnecessarily. (There are hardly any charging options in the town). When we checked out the next day, we were told that the €4 flat rate was for 5kwh (which is the opposite of a flat rate). Of course we had now drawn about 45kwh and instead of solving the miscommunication in a friendly way we had to pay 80cents! per KWh. (That's 400% more than at home and 200% more than at already expensive fast chargers). What a cheek!

Now we were there again, because we really like the place. Booked from 03.08.25 - 07.08.25 and checked out on 05.08.25 due to the bad weather and drove on. On arrival we were told that electricity would be charged according to consumption as we were there for 4 days. On the final bill we paid the electricity flat rate of 4€/day but only used 2kwh - aka 4€ per KWh. They also made us pay the tourist tax and the like for the full four days, even though we were no longer there. The charging cards for the showers have 10€ credit, we used 2€ each. We were charged €20... Not to mention that she didn't even ask me if everything was ok or why we were leaving early. Not a single word was said during the billing.

This campsite is all about earning as much as possible and shits on satisfied customers. Unfortunately, the checkout makes a big difference to how the whole experience is rated. And we were taken for a ride twice.

Extremely narrow pitches, absolutely no understanding of the needs of dogs. No peeing on the entire site. If you are caught committing a mortal sin, you are banned from the site and allowed to leave immediately. The owners are bad-tempered and you get the feeling that you are just as tolerated as a guest. The surroundings (industrial area) are also not inviting. If you have legitimate feedback you are insulted.
Disaster! Never experienced before! Caution dog owners otherwise you will be banned
There is no designated dog playground. The lawn and hedges are overgrown

Great place - we will be back
We had originally booked a pitch in DK, but there was only rain and no prospect of a change in the weather. So we booked in Olsdorf from one day to the next.

And everything worked really well - thank you for that.

The pitches are in a state of disrepair (unkempt mud pits) Only three showers for the ladies and the rooms were cold. Behind our pitch was/is a mobile barn for 260 chickens...it often stank terribly.

5 stars completely overrated !!!
We have been going to SPO (Camping Olsdorf) with our dog over the turn of the year for several years now. The weather is certainly not always stable at this time of year on the North Sea and it can sometimes rain. We are aware of that!
A week before our planned vacation, we called the campsite reception... and asked how the site looked after all the rain. Answer: everything looks fine!
However, what we found this year is not acceptable.
We had booked pitch B4 (in a circle).
When we arrived, we were told at reception that we should always drive our camper van onto the grass stones, otherwise we could get stuck. We managed to do this, although you could hardly see the stones, but it was only possible to get out with rubber boots, as the pitch was all mud and puddles. The previous riders had also left deep tracks from their bikes. After I asked the groundsman (owner) to take a look at the situation and suggested that he could help me out with a pallet, he said that he had two more pallets that he had to keep for particularly difficult cases, but not for us.
We didn't get the impression that the guest was "king" here. After asking again, we were able to stay on another pitch for one night and then left the next morning.
Fortunately, we were able to continue our vacation at another campsite (without mud)
Conclusion: The problem described has been known to the owner for many years, but unfortunately nothing changes.
It's a shame that the owners make so little effort to ensure their regular guests have a good time on their site.
We will look for a new place to stay in SPO.

- The construction of the subsoil on the sloping terrain (especially in the comfort pitches) can only be described as amateurish and cheap: extremely poor drainage, partly paved with recycled material, uneven terrain. The drainage is so bad that you sometimes stand in water several centimeters deep for days! centimeters deep in water (which is not due to the tarpaulins/foils laid out ...). As a resident of Schleswig-Holstein, it's not surprising that it can rain (more) in October, but that a campsite can be so badly equipped for it? - Unfortunately, it is unlikely that anything will change, as the ability to criticize in this regard is extremely low. The groundsman (owner?) treats you in a disrespectful tone and negates any problems. Despite adhering to the strict placement instructions marked on the plan by reception, you are accused of incorrectly placing the WW and the problems are blamed on this. - The Wi-Fi reception is poor overall, as no reliable connection is established. - Reception is open for a few hours in the morning and afternoon (until 6pm at the latest). Unfortunately, contact is not possible outside of opening hours, so it was only possible to respond to a broken water pipe the next day. Incidentally, two pitches share a water connection in the comfort pitch area.
Light with plenty of shade in the fall
We stayed on the site for a week at the end of October with a caravan and awning. As always, there are positives and negatives, but the advertised 5-star classification should be regarded as euphemistic. All in all, we cannot recommend a stay on this site, at least with a caravan at this time of year.

No separate lane for check in, but the street is not so busy. Very friendly reception. Parking space for our trailer was large enough, sanitary building very well maintained and clean. WLAN was very good. Shopping facilities (supermarkets, fish smokehouse, post office, etc.) right opposite. St. Peter... Ording village can be reached on foot in about 10-15 minutes, weekly market highly recommended. To St. Peter Bad it was about 30 minutes on foot. Lots to see in the region, Husum, Büsum, Eidersperrwerk, Friedrichstadt etc.
Also recommended for a longer stay.

Our weekend was great. 👍🏻 Everything was very clean, modern sanitary facilities.
It was our first time on the road with our WW, we don't have an awning or sun awning yet, but I could imagine that the pitches are a bit too small for them. We'll get one soon and give it a try 😉

Everything you want on vacation
Lots of stores within walking distance. Just a few minutes by bike to the town or to the INCREDIBLE beach - there's room for everyone here. And DISTANCE. The campsite is divided by an access road, which is also used at night. Very good wind protection due to hedges, which means that the pitches are often... parceled out. Unfortunately, we arrived on rainy days and the majority of the pitches were just muddy due to the previous pitches being covered in foil. Thanks for that! By the time it had dried out, it was no longer worth putting up the awning. Unfortunately, bad mold walls in the showers.

Close to many shopping facilities (Lidl, ReWe, Aldi etc.), as well as the village center (10 minutes on foot, 4 minutes by bike). The toilets and showers are very clean and spacious.

No water on the pitch (1 tap for over 15 pitches). Also no gray water drainage at the site. The way to the wash house is quite far, depending on the pitch. Showers cost extra! Not exactly worthy of a 5*!
Very nice, quiet place
The campsite is really beautifully laid out. The main pitch is in a kind of spiral. It has a large play area for children, with swings, a soccer pitch and a giant sandpit.
Some of the pitches are very, very cramped, and there is no direct water and waste water connection on the pitch. One water tap for... over 15 pitches is not worthy of a 5*. The internet is free. To be honest, it would be very difficult to charge for it. 1. not all pitches are sufficiently covered and 2. slow is the first name. I honestly wonder how the ⭐️ are allocated! For me this is a max. 4* place. Nevertheless, I can recommend the site with a clear conscience.

Well-kept place directly adjacent to a shopping area, but this hardly disturbs and also offers corresponding amenities of direct access. We didn't need a car during our entire stay. Beautiful cycle paths in the surrounding area. Bus service, even train platform directly adjacent. Nice management!

We've been to this site at least 20 times, with the Womobi three times in 2018 alone and again in 2019. We don't know any disadvantages. The infrastructure, the weather and the air at the lake are always worth a visit.

How does the course get 5 stars?
Who rated this CP with 5 stars ? Already at the entrance no parking lane to check in in peace. We had reserved pitch G3. But asked by phone for another pitch, then got assigned F5. So far so good, allocated pitch G3 on arrival. When we asked about the change, the lady was quite unfriendly. "It's occupied,... they already had a reservation last year" Do you have this in writing, email or similar? "NO" - always remember, "whoever writes stays" was the short answer. So then G3 after all, unkempt pitch with gravel, no grass, access to the pitch very narrow. On the day of departure, our caravan had to be pushed by hand towards the exit with the help of neighbors, as there was no other way to get the caravan out of this narrow space. Note on the safety of the place: The CP is divided by a public path, (vehicle traffic) just the outdoor pitches freely accessible. The sanitary facilities were fine. The location was also fine. But otherwise I would not recommend this place, I think the price / performance ratio is not given.

Unfortunately, the pitches (we were outside the barriers) are rather small. There was hardly any grass, we had more of a beach feeling. The disposal is also not so great. You have to get a hook from reception to clear the manhole cover to the side. This is rather difficult for older or otherwise handicapped... people. In addition, the ES is right next to the access road to the sanitary building. If you have to reverse out, it's good to have someone outside the vehicle to look at. Sanitary facilities are clean, more individual cabins would be great. Garbage bins were very full, more would be good. Staff very friendly and always helpful.

Beautiful setting for a great vacation!
The campsite is very well maintained, the location is good and practical. There are supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and various sports and fashion stores in the immediate vicinity - everything you need is there. Some of the stores are also open on Sundays. It is not too far to the village, about 15 minutes on foot. There is a train and bus station nearby. Everything, including the dyke and beach, can be reached without a bike or car.
