We were there in the early season. Nice and quiet. It was very hot, so the pool was a real treat. We played tennis and watched the World Cup. The campground is very well-equipped and well-maintained. The Ardèche River is a 5-minute walk away. It’s the wide part of the river, so there are no rocks and it’s not very deep. But it’s a wonderful way to cool off with a snack and a drink.

We really loved the place. It’s beautifully situated in a stunning landscape. We had booked four nights and spontaneously extended our stay by four more nights.

A really beautiful campground
The closeness to nature. The peace and quiet; you can’t hear a thing except for birdsong. The restrooms are in good condition and always clean. The heated pool. The shop is also great—it offers a baguette service in the morning if you order in advance.

beautiful, quiet place in the green...
The campsite is located about 50 meters from the ardeche, on the edge of a small stone village called chauzon. The site is very quiet and surrounded by greenery...perfect for dog owners and also a paradise for hikers. The very friendly owner is to be emphasized, she takes care from a to z. The pool for swimming is also very nice, especially for children. We would love to come back!

Spent 2.5 weeks on the site in July. Very nice and quiet place. Located directly on the river, which is good for both swimming and canoeing. However, the Ardeche is only about knee-high in some places, so you can't swim everywhere. The sanitary facilities are clean (cleaned 3 times a day). The restaurant... also offers the possibility of take-away and there is a small shop for the essentials. The surrounding area is very suitable for hiking and climbing and offers wonderful views over the Ardeche and its gorge.

A great place without the fanciness
I've been here twice with my family and we've always enjoyed it. La Digue is a quiet place without all the fancy stuff, but with a large pool where you can still swim properly and a free tennis court. My son (aged 7 and 10 at the time) always found nice playmates, our mobile homes were great and the... owners are very friendly. I myself am an enthusiastic cyclist and can highly recommend La Digue as a starting point for beautiful bike tours. We will definitely come back a fourth time. Disadvantage: French youth groups always come at Whitsun; on these (few) days it can be a bit noisy. Distance to the next larger town approx. 5-6 km, to the supermarket approx. 2-3 km.

We (a couple with a dog) have been to this campsite three times so far and want to go there again this year during the Easter vacation. This already shows that we like it there very much. Once you have managed the rather narrow access road to the campsite, a very quiet site on the Ardèche awaits you.... The site management and the whole team are very friendly, relaxed and helpful. If you don't speak French, you're in good hands here, as both Fabienne, the manager, and some of the staff speak German. You get all the help you need. The sanitary facilities are good and are cleaned regularly. The store is well stocked and the staff are very friendly. The campers are mainly canoeists, mostly in groups, which initially gave us a bit of a fright as groups are often very loud. We have been lucky so far and have mostly experienced nice groups. There are inconsiderate people everywhere, even outside of groups. We are not canoeists, but hikers. It is possible to start hikes from the campsite and there are plenty of opportunities in the surrounding area. We think it's very good that we can let our dog "do" right next to the campsite, in the Ardèche floodplains, and that he can run free there. Our assessment refers to the time of the Easter vacation in NRW. We don't know what it's like on the campsite in summer.
