Camping Domaine Sainte Madeleine Recenzje
Peter P.lipiec 2026Pozytywnethe situationNegatywnePool with excessively high chlorine levels; reception desk staffed only sporadically; no food available, not even for an emergency meal; the natural stone walls are slowly crumbling—and are not being repaired; at night, there is a dangerous risk of falling on the stairs without handrails—drop height 3 meters ...Camping Just Like 30 Years AgoWe stayed at the campground for 4 nights in July. There was no pizza, contrary to what we’d read elsewhere (according to campground management, it wouldn’t be worth it given the current occupancy). Communication in English was smooth and friendly. Upon request, we were able to rent a small refrigerator... with a €100 deposit and a daily rental fee of €6—we had read about this on the website beforehand, but there was no mention of it at the front desk. Chilled beverages and ice cream are available for purchase, but only during reception hours (9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Baguettes are available by advance order; the bakery bag is then set out for self-service starting at 8:00 a.m. Shopping in Sospel (SPAR). The restroom building is a structure from the 1960s with an Eternit roof; the floor and partition walls are very rustic. There are no outlets near the sinks for electric shavers; no toilet paper (we’ve never encountered this at a campground during our 3-week tour of France), and no toilet seats on the nearly new toilets. Hot water is free for washing dishes, doing laundry, and showering. The access road is always open, and parking is explicitly required next to the campsites, which results in car and motorcycle traffic on the grounds both day and night—it was relatively quiet during our stay, but this can be disruptive during peak season. The through road next to the campground is quiet at night. Old trees and olive trees provide shade; down below, the RVs are well shaded by large, dense trees. The pool (always well-chlorinated) could be significantly improved with 10 lounge chairs, and guests wouldn’t have to spread their towels out on the hard tile floor—there are umbrellas there, after all... Since there are few options in or near Sospel, this campground is still the best choice—you just shouldn’t expect modern standards or even a hint of service. The value for money is good.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.Żaden biwakowicz nie uznał jeszcze tej recenzji za pomocną. The sanitary facilities are old, but very well maintained and clean. There is nothing to buy on site except wine and drinks. As the campsite is 15 km from the sea, it also has a pleasant climate.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.1 biwakowicz uznał tę ocenę za przydatną.
- E. I.czerwiec 2014PozytywneThe extraordinary calmMost beautiful place in the regionThe campsite is rightly described in the travel literature as one of the most beautiful places in the region. It is in an exceptionally quiet location, about 4 km above Sospel in an unspoiled landscape. The pitches are generously sized, shady and on a beautiful green meadow. Most of the pitches offer... a beautiful view of the surrounding high mountains of the Maritime Alps. We really enjoyed the well-kept swimming pool, bordered by olive trees. There are also several hundred kilometers of hiking trails. However, due to the midsummer temperatures at the time of our stay, we didn't make use of them. However, a visit to the old town of Sospel is worthwhile. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but very well maintained. The reception is only manned in the morning and towards the evening. Bread must be ordered the day before. Apart from wine from the region, there is nothing to buy.Przetłumaczone automatycznie.Żaden biwakowicz nie uznał jeszcze tej recenzji za pomocną. Bądź pierwszy!
