Plenty of activities for all ages, available practically all day long; the facilities are well-maintained, neat, and clean; and the campground staff are always visible and extremely friendly. If you want to go on outings in the area, keep in mind that you’ll be in the car for at least an hour or more.

It would also be nice for the animation if there were more dialogue in English.

Set in a beautiful region and a stunning natural setting, surrounded by mountains and on the banks of the Durance River, the campground is ideally located. No traffic noise—just the sound of crickets and the hustle and bustle of the campground. The facilities are excellent; we especially appreciated the water hookup right at our site and the proximity to the electrical hookup. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. The pools are great too, and the lagoon is fantastic. The entertainment is top-notch; you can really feel the team’s dedication, and the shows are high-quality. The staff is attentive and always finds solutions.

- We were on a site that lacked shade, and with the heat wave, it was sometimes hard to bear (the campground offered us another, shadier site). - The maintenance crew uses a somewhat noisy electric leaf blower quite early in the morning. - The outdoor fitness area was supposed to open at 8 a.m., apparently, but was often closed at that early hour.

The campground is beautiful, with flowers and trees. Each mobile home is positioned so that it isn’t directly across from another. The lagoon is very pleasant, with pergolas that provide shade. The campground staff are friendly, and the sports activities offered are top-notch. The dishes served at the restaurant are very good.

The path leading to the lagoon could be improved—perhaps with some vegetation—because it gets very hot walking there during a heat wave.

A beautiful setting, with a very welcoming, friendly staff who are incredibly kind to both kids and adults! Your days can be filled with activities organized by the campground and its very energetic staff, who make sure you have a great time—even when you’re working up a sweat! They’re always smiling, and the campground is always clean! Even the restaurant and the grocery store—everything is perfect; no complaints at all!

Everything was perfect—from the warm welcome to the new and clean accommodations, the pool, and the campground itself, which was very clean and lush; everything is very well maintained, even before the season starts... There are already activities... Perfect—we’ll definitely be back.

We enjoyed returning to the campground since we’ve spent several summers here as a family. My daughter, who’s now 24, wanted to visit the campground again! Of course, it was much quieter than we remembered because we came this year during the off-season. But it’s worth experiencing this way, too—it’s peaceful, and the pools aren’t as crowded. We do miss the activities, evening events, and so on… so we’ll definitely be back next summer during peak season. Once you’ve experienced L’Hyppocampe and Sunelia, no other campground can compare!!!

Were there any activities offered during the off-season? We were able to enjoy massages and the spa! We also enjoyed the pool and hiking. But a little evening entertainment during the week would have been nice.

I stumbled upon the Hippocampe campground by chance while opening a promotional email. I took a leap of faith and booked it without knowing anything about the campground or the surrounding area. I have to say, everything was perfect! The campground was well-maintained even though it was the end of the season, the bungalow was well-equipped and clean, the front desk staff was always helpful, the pools were fantastic with water slides, and the entire experience was truly excellent. It’s a shame we weren’t able to swim in the lagoon because, since it was the end of the season, it had already been closed for a couple of days.
