Avoid this campground
If you want to enjoy your vacation, don’t book this place. First of all, it’s way overpriced for what you get. From the moment you arrive, you’ll encounter the worst customer service in all of Austria—maybe even Europe. They only care about money and don’t care if you have any kind of problems. For example,... I didn’t have any cash because my card details had been stolen, so I asked if it would be possible to pay from my bank account, just as I had paid the 80-euro deposit. The manager there started being rude to me even though I was in a bind, and said, “You can stay here one night; tomorrow, you either give me the money in cash or leave!” There were no other options—it wasn’t possible to cancel or stay two nights and pay the extra fee. So I ended up paying 80 euros for one night per person; I just wanted to leave because the staff was so terrible toward me, even though I was already in a difficult situation. I hated every minute I was there and left in the morning as soon as I woke up. People pay a lot of money to travel to foreign countries to enjoy themselves. And yet there are people like this who only care about money and not your experience. I traveled for three weeks in Austria, and this place was the only one to avoid! Spend your hard-earned money on other beautiful places in Austria. Not here—all the cars are crammed together, and these people will ruin your vacation if you have any kind of problem. And don’t expect a refund even if a relative dies; they really don’t care. They’ll kick you even harder when they see you in pain.

Extremely unfriendly staff. We didn't get a seat at 10.30 although many seats were free and we were announced by phone and email. We were also not allowed to wait in front of the entrance, although there was enough space. We had to leave and come back at 2pm because reception is closed between 11am and 2pm.
Something like this has never happened to me in 50 years of camping.

Campsite visited to continue driving
I saw the sanitary facilities and they were clean. But unfortunately there was no space available. Even though we made a reservation by phone. The owner assured us that a pitch would be free. And I asked him to save me unnecessary miles and to call me if the pitch wasn't free. So we drove there for nothing.... That doesn't work at all. I don't want to know what it's like the other way round: If you make a reservation and don't show up... Hence the poor rating. I rate the sanitary facilities as good, they were fine.

Small campsite next to a busy road, but beautiful location on the lake.
The campsite is small and informal, the operator and staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately very dark and could be cleaner. The road in the background is unfortunately very noisy. But the view of the lake and the Traunstein makes up for the noise. Great for swimming,... very refreshing. Great for boating. We rented a boat for half a day and it was surprisingly cheap. We paddled to the other bank and along the rocks of the Traunstein, which was wonderful. There are also many opportunities for cycling on the surrounding hills with many beautiful viewpoints. Overall impression very good.

Squeezed between the road and the lake promenade
If you miss the stop sign in the driveway, you'll be standing between the other campers, getting stupid looks from them and being snarled at in reception. If you pay attention to the stop sign, you'll end up standing in the middle of the driveway. It's just stupid how you do it!

Very nice place with very friendly staff
The location is wonderful, the boss is very nice and helpful, you have to put up with the street noise, but we were still able to sleep very well. We had everything we needed.

Directly on the lake, great panorama
Camping with a beautiful panorama
The site is beautifully situated directly on the lake with a wonderful panorama. The owner is very friendly and even helps with the instructions! Yes, the site is on a main road, but we didn't find that very annoying. The tennis courts are right next door and there is a nice playground and cycle path to Gmunden right in front of the campsite. We will certainly be back!

LOUD!!! if anyone is looking for peace and quiet...
...is wrong in this beautiful place. Earplugs don't help - after all, the row of tents is 3m away from the main road... A horror. Also for the whole village, which is very friendly and has one of the most beautiful views of the lake. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities very modest, everything very outdated. We found the staff to be very sunny and helpful.

Nice campsite right by the lake. Nice beach and nice swimming. Unfortunately there is a lot of sand in the water. Restaurant at the campsite, shop across the road, pay shower - 1 E, there is a kitchenette above the washroom upstairs - hot water for dishes, kettle.

Not recommended!!!
Extremely unsuitable for campers with a tent! Very loud noise from the main road, poor value for money and a very small site with narrow paths, a dog ban on the water and the adjacent green area make for a big disappointment. The worst thing, however, is the unfriendliness of the campsite staff.
