Positive ting
A relaxing and peaceful location by the water, plenty of clean restrooms, a cozy and delicious beer garden, and a nice playground
Negative ting
Just minor details—the electricity and water connections could be installed a little more neatly, and a boat rental service would be cool
Cozy, clean, close to the water
A lovely, cozy campground that offers the chance to explore the nearby town of Caputh, with opportunities for steamboat rides, boat trips, swimming, fishing, and bike rides—all close to Potsdam. You’ll receive a warm welcome and be shown to your site; the spots right on the lake are very beautiful. All... sites have easy access to one of the nearby restroom facilities, and the centrally located beer garden is a great place to relax. Fresh rolls are available here in the morning (by order). All in all, a lovely campground with cozy spots for every camping enthusiast.

Positive ting
The pitches themselves were clean Staff is friendly The location for cycling and walking great
Negative ting
The sanitary facilities are in good need of renovation - old Pitch for 2 people 75 € / night at the lighthouse - no premium place - you pay for the view The ENTIRE place including the pitches is video monitored ! Gastronomy prices high No kiosk on site The disabled WC is used by the employees as a staff WC None of the owners known from television were on site Access very outdated and very narrow
Had promised ourselves more
The electricity flat rate of 5€/day is very hefty!
And the people are not included in the price

45€ pitch + 10€/person + 5€ electricity + 2€/person tourist tax per day

The pitches under the trees cost 5€ less

Fantastic location, top staff, clean sanitary facilities, super tasty food.
Negative ting
I really have nothing to complain about
Absolutely nothing to complain about
A place in a fantastic location that has rightly earned its name.
Super friendly staff who are always ready to help.
Sanitary facilities always very clean throughout the days. Yes, they are old, but absolutely functional.
Prices are absolutely reasonable, if you look around in the region it is also much more expensive.
Gastro was top, super tasty food.
The site and the staff are also very dog-friendly. We will be back.

The bridge is okay

Price - Performance
Boaters beware - far too expensive as a mooring place
We moored a houseboat here late in the evening and left early in the morning. We paid €65 for a houseboat with three people - that borders on a rip-off.

Large construction site
Too expensive
Departure until 11 Arrival from 15
As in the hotel, but we bring our room with us, nobody has to clean the pitch or change beds :-(.
If you arrive before 3pm there is a 10 euro surcharge for early check in.
Everything is overpriced.
Only self-catering is cheaper.

Positive ting
The pitches at the lighthouse are small but completely adequate for caravans with vans. The restaurant is very tasty but also expensive. The staff in the restaurant are super friendly and courteous.
Negative ting
The sanitary facilities are a major shortcoming. It says on the sign that a refurbishment was decided in 2023. But nothing has happened. Unfortunately! You should use times that don't clash with breakfast, lunch or dinner to wash up. As the seats are super close together, it was really borderline when someone was washing up to the right and left of you.
Visit inspired by DMAX
The pitch at the lighthouse made it possible for us to explore the lake by canoe and SUP directly from our pitch. That was really worth its weight in gold. Otherwise it was a nice place. As I said, something should be done about the sanitary facilities as soon as possible.

Cleanliness, friendliness, tranquillity. Ambience. The EM offer, in the beer garden
Negative ting
I can't write anything about it.
Highly recommended 👍
I can only say good things about our stay.
I also can't understand some of the reviews. This is a campsite and not a 5 star plus hotel.
Keep up the good work. 👍

Positive ting
nothing that the places next door couldn't do better
Negative ting
Loud, unkempt, constant construction noise, old and unkempt sanitary facilities, even the new construction site toilet containers can't save anything, narrow pitches, overpriced, the speeding groundsmen on their electric vehicles are a constant danger for children,
Was once a real natural place
We first stayed at the site in 1996 and then several times for smaller vacations. Back then it was still a real nature campsite with lots of forest and nature, a real paradise for children. Unfortunately, not much has remained of that. I've just compared the satellite images on Google Earth from 2000... and 2021 and the difference is shocking. The entrance area to the site is more like an unkempt industrial area where houseboats are being assembled, only a small beach is accessible from the entire coast and you can hardly find a quiet spot by the water. The pitches are all very narrow and dusty, distance to the neighbors is not really possible, you can also see if you want to reserve on the website. There is also a constant danger for small children, as the people in charge are not exactly slow with their vehicles. The question also arises as to why the construction work on the pier is not being continued in the winter months, but in the season when everyone wants to have their peace and quiet.
The site is also not recommended for people with severe walking difficulties and wheelchair users, as it is too sandy and only the public road to the Lachmann shipyard is paved.
Those with small children should also avoid the site. There is no children's pool or similar facilities.

Positive ting
Proximity to the city
Negative ting
Price-performance absolutely not right, Construction site noise Instruction equal to ZERO....
More appearance than reality - television is everything
Unfortunately, we were blinded by the documentary on DMAX.
We didn't read any reviews beforehand (that was our mistake)
It started at check-in. There it said...you can NOT go to your booked place (lighthouse),
We were given a pitch in the south bay. (Service water approx. 50 m away, electricity... see... for yourself which socket is connected.
Briefing....naja.
The toilets/showers were only cleaned every two days.
The washing facilities for dishes were locked.
Toilet paper was only available again on request.
Building site, building site, building site....but no discount on the price.
Unfortunately, there is no financial difference between low and high season.
We have never thought about canceling our vacation before when camping.... it almost happened in Himmelreich.
We are one of those people:
Once and never again!
Thank you for the unpleasant vacation!

Positive ting
The situation
Negative ting
The pitch we had booked was not yet accessible. So why were we able to book it? Instead, we were offered a comparable pitch at the same price. We were right on the water, but also in the middle of a building site. We were told to get bread rolls in Geltow, as the restaurant on the site was not yet open. The wash house wasn't open yet either. It wasn't possible to wash the dishes yet either. It wouldn't have been so bad if you had read somewhere that the season starts then and then. It is absolutely not right that you pay the full price when half of the offers are missing. An "sorry....." would have been enough for us.
Pity
False promises that are not fulfilled. Simply formulate the booking form honestly!

Positive ting
Very nice location, places with lake view at the lighthouse, quiet
Negative ting
Sanitary building is getting on in years, premium pitches too small so that you can/should/may only stand crosswise. Many permanent campers and too many dogs. Bread rolls have to be ordered in advance
Premium price without premium service
the expensive premium pitches at the lighthouse are small and you have to stand diagonally so that you can hardly - or not at all - see the lake from inside. What doesn't work at all is the permission for 8m campers to use the pitches anyway, to stand parallel to the shore and thus protrude onto the... neighboring pitches and take away the view from other campers. If you decide to pay premium prices (€60 in mid-September without tourist tax) for the most beautiful pitches, then the offer must be appropriate. The sanitary building is dingy, the showers don't drain. The restaurant is more of a sham than a fine place, €20 for a hamburger with fries, oh well.
We felt we were the only guests without a dog, the neighboring pitch (10) was soiled with dog excrement.
The atmosphere at the lake, especially in the morning and evening, is a dream, but only in the Himmelreich? That's not enough, what a shame.

Positive ting
The location is top and very friendly staff
Negative ting
It looks a bit untidy and there are straw cables everywhere.
Personal opinion
Good TV reportage. We wanted to see for ourselves. A lot is invested in maintenance. Instead of buying a new boat, the 6-figure sum would have been better spent on night lighting and a decent power supply. The site is very dark at night and you can't find your way to the toilet without a flashlight.... We had a pitch right on the lakeshore for €74. Wonderful... 20m away, there was a loose 230V CEE plug in the grass for the shore power. There are practically no fused power columns. That's not possible!!! There are loose power cables lying on the ground all over the site. The site could also be cleaned of leaves, branches and acorns. The restaurant can be praised for its cuisine. Good price/performance!!! In our case we waited 1 hour for food. (can happen). My conclusion is... There is still a lot to do to achieve the image that was shown in the TV documentary.
This is not meant to be a rebuke, but rather my impression as a longtime camper guest. I expected more.

Positive ting
the area was great, place clean, gastronomy very good
Negative ting
The rules of the course are not observed contradictory information at the registration desk .
Camping and gastronomy
Barbecues are tolerated, category 1 and 2 awnings and carpets are forbidden but it is done
Open fire (for barbecuing) near the forest, nothing was done about it. Night's rest control did not see anyone. had to go by myself.
Gastronomy; food did not come completely was quickly delivered. Waiter apologized... by leaning on a chair and casually told me: has happened several times today behavior was inappropriate .
Food was fresh and tasty . Price is reasonable .
Steak could be offered in 2 weight classes, would be great.
The place is clean , a small store on site would be desirable . shopping otherwise via the ferry to the village and walk far or across the road about 2.3 km

- friendly staff - well-kept place - Delicious food in the restaurant - Beautiful view of the lake
Negative ting
- Sanitary facilities large wash house
Very nice
My husband really wanted to go to this campsite because of DMAX.

We were given a very warm welcome and everything was explained to us in detail straight away. Even when we had questions in between,
they were always explained in a friendly and precise manner. We thought that everyone was just like in... the program. Cool and friendly.

The briefing went really well. We were also able to change seats spontaneously as our seat didn't have a good view and was very narrow. Toilets were always clean and tidy. We didn't shower in the wash house, we did that comfortably in the motorhome.

It's nice and quiet at night, so rest was guaranteed.

The food in the restaurant was very tasty, very friendly service.

We liked it very much and would definitely come again.

Positive ting
Uncomplicated registration, friendly staff, beautiful pitch with a view of the lake.
Negative ting
Not enough showers. We didn't use the washing up area as everything was done at the caravan.
Beautiful campsite
We can't say anything negative. We were well received and personally taken to the site. Our pitch was adequate, with a view of the lake. The stele with electricity and water was great.
Even though we hadn't reserved a place in the restaurant for dinner, we still got a table. The staff were super nice and courteous (especially Christian). However, the prices are very high. However, the food is very tasty.

Disaster
We cannot understand the positive reviews in any way. Prices are being charged in every area that are disproportionate to the services provided. The "restaurant" charges a hefty €46 for two burgers (including a small salad) and a Coke and has the level and ambience of a better chip shop. The children's... playground is a hodgepodge of leftover equipment that was carelessly put together wherever there was space. The sanitary facilities have already been sufficiently described in other reviews, so if you don't want to be put off, you should experience this for yourself. The rest of the cleanliness of the place also has an adventurous character, some places have the charm of a garbage dump. Keeping to your own rules, e.g. volume on the pitch and driving speed (especially of the staff) is a matter of luck and you have less luck in the "Kingdom of Heaven", here is more Road to Hell.
We let ourselves be dazzled by the TV production... We left three days earlier. Better to stay away from the so-called kingdom of heaven. Best regards Matthias and Heike

Soooooo beautiful :))))
Location, place, staff ~super nice ... we would like to thank you for the nice time and will come back as soon as possible . Pleasantly surprised, a beautiful, natural place. We felt like we were back in the old days.
The restaurant was also great ... staff very nice and always a smile for the guests... .
All in all ...recommendable, the place has a great charm. We are looking forward to the pier, it will certainly be mega nice.
Keep it up, because that's how we imagine a carefree camping vacation

Wash house is old and run down. But was always clean with us. The area by the old movie theater is a junkyard for things that are no longer needed.
Campsite with upward potential
The campsite has a wonderful location by the water. We had a pitch right on the water by the lighthouse. The wash house is old and run down but was always clean. The restaurant on site is good but not very cheap. There is a bread roll service you just have to order the day before. The area by the old... movie theater is a junkyard for everything that is no longer needed or will be used later. Not a very nice sight. The new four shower containers were all locked. If we wanted to take a shower we had to walk from the lighthouse to the reception, which wouldn't be a problem if the whole way wasn't through sand and everything was unlit at night. The permanent camper area is closed off with a barrier and fence. The lakeside restaurant is still a building site with construction noise. The reception staff were very friendly (even without William who wasn't here). The restaurant with Maximilian is good. We had a good chat with him. We saw Roger twice on the wheel loader. But he didn't have time to say hello, which we did 🤔. All in all a nice campsite and we would like to come back when there are new wash houses.

Positive ting
The staff were very nice, except for the colleague with the ponytail, who we found unfriendly. We really liked the new small wash house with the 4 cabins, but it would be nice if there could be 1-2 hooks in the individual cabins so that you could hang up your towel or bathrobe
Negative ting
The constant unrest during the week due to the construction work, which has probably been going on for many months and it seems impossible to predict when it will be finished.
Very beautifully situated campsite
We stayed at this campsite from 17.06.-22.06.2023. It is in a very nice location. We were in the middle area - very nice. What we noticed negatively, however, was the unrest on this site due to constant construction work and the constant back and forth of trucks, articulated excavators, etc. We also... noticed negatively that the boats that were "parked" behind us in the parking lot were cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner for hours on 21.06.2023, making a lot of noise (not to mention the water consumption). Cleaning the roof of the sanitary building was also very noisy. We realize that such work has to be done, but can't it be done when the campsite closes in November and there are no more holidaymakers on the campsite? The 3 boys (William etc.) were always VERY helpful and invariably nice - which unfortunately cannot be said of their colleague with the ponytail.

The location The pitches The peace and quiet
Negative ting
In the forest you stand on sand and roots. When it rains, the path becomes a muddy track. Sanitary facilities...
Okay
The place is beautifully situated. A good starting point for excursions to Berlin etc. Public transportation nearby.
We enjoyed fine food in the beer garden and the service was very friendly.
Reception was also very friendly. Check in was quick.
What spoils the mood a little are the sanitary facilities.... The problem is not that they are old. But they are always a bit grubby. Perhaps there is a woman on site who would check them and give instructions on how to clean them properly. On the plus side, the sanitary facilities will be renovated and extended at some point. Plans for the project are on the notice board by the wash house.
