The perfect campground for those seeking peace and quiet and for cyclists
Landschapscamping Sparrenhof, for campers seeking peace and quiet, is located on the outskirts of the village of Gasselte in Drenthe, the Netherlands. It is a park-like, well-maintained, and very quiet campground with spacious sites that are perfectly separated from one another by trees—primarily conifers—and... shrubs. Trailers, RVs, and awnings are parked on an artificial turf area surrounded by grass. As a result, the campsites are always in impeccable condition. The two restroom buildings are modern and very clean. There are many private bathrooms available for rent. Good Wi-Fi is available at all campsites. The owners are very friendly and speak German. Cars are only allowed on the campsites during arrival and departure and must park at the edge of the campground. This rule helps maintain peace and quiet and keeps the campsites and access roads in good condition. Restaurants and supermarkets are within biking distance. There are numerous biking and hiking trails in the area, which are very well marked with junctions and town signs. Maps and a highly recommended app are available for download to help plan your trips. We felt very comfortable at the campground and have already made a reservation for next year.
