"Place at Hardelot - As Hardelot Castle was advertised with a sign, we also saw the reference to the square. As we had already been here in 2014, we wanted to take another look around today. It is still as beautiful and homely as we remembered.

"Beautiful little place - We stayed at this campsite for a week in August 2015. As soon as we drove in, we were totally surprised by this lovingly maintained site. Right at the entrance is the registration desk in a building decorated with countless flowers. This style continues throughout the entire campsite. Even the sanitary building is decorated with flowers. The operators are just as visually impressive. Very friendly and courteous. You should only speak a few words of French. Our pitch was just big enough for the caravan with awning and 2m of space in front of it and was also very nicely laid out and surprisingly quiet despite the road running directly past the pitch. It is also largely sheltered from the wind, precisely because it is not directly by the sea and is also well overgrown. It feels like there are about 50:50 mobile homes and pitches on the campsite. However, many of the pitches are more suitable for small tents than for caravans or motorhomes. It's best to call before you arrive and ask if there is a suitable pitch available. Although the sanitary building is getting on in years, it is meticulously cleaned every day. The only thing that bothered me was that some of the automatic taps and showers didn't really work and the water from the neighboring shower ran out. The place is often used by English people who stop off here before crossing the canal. Otherwise, the crowd is mixed. Apart from us, only one pitch was occupied by Germans during this time, but the French, Dutch and English on the pitch were nicer ;-) Apart from that, there's not much to say about the infrastructure on the site. The price of the pitch (HS 2 pers, caravan, car) is cheap at 23 euros, but the electricity is very expensive at 4.90 per day at 10 amps. WLAN is available on the pitch but is also expensive. Free is possible, but funny. This is only possible in the recreation building for half an hour and then again after 6 hours. There are fridges in the sanitary building for camping guests. There are no shopping facilities on the site itself, but there is a Carrefour market 300m away and a bakery 400m away that is second to none, as is the butcher next door. The small markets in Condette are definitely worth a mention. On Sundays there is a market in the square opposite the campsite, and during the week there are also two small farmers' markets in the pavilion on the market square. Condette is conveniently located for excursions to all the sights of the Opal Coast. The beach at Hardelot is beautiful, the castle is simply a must (a guided tour is even free), Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez are worth a visit, the restaurant Le Chattillon in the harbor of Boulogne sur Mer is an insider tip and there are countless other things to see in the area. Condette itself, like this entire region, is characterized by incredibly well-kept villages with colourful flowers and meadows, front gardens and houses.

"Nice little place - Small, well-kept site on the outskirts of the village. We had booked in advance and were warmly welcomed by the site manager. He is very helpful and is out and about on the site all day with your wife. The pitches are very small for a large caravan. Our pitch was about 35m². There are only 2 or 3 larger ones at most, which is just fine for short stays. The pitches are very overgrown, which contributes to the cramped feeling of the pitches. WLAN only works free of charge in the lounge and only for 30 minutes at a time. Then you have to wait 6 hours before you can surf again. The campsite WiFi costs around €4 per day. Bread is available at the bakery about 500m from the campsite, but is very tasty. The beach is 3 km away. The sanitary facilities are small but clean.
