Super location for a short vacation in the Spreewald
The place is great for a short vacation if you don't set the bar too high. The operators are very friendly and the bread roll service is perfect. You should always have a lamp with you in the dark, otherwise it can be very difficult to find your way, especially as there are lots of steps and ledges everywhere....
We had a rainy day (midday to evening) after which the pitch was only carefully accessible. The lawn has also suffered a lot this year and has many muddy patches. The driveways should be cleared of holes.
All in all, it's a comfortable place to stay in a perfect location close to the castle and the thermal baths.
We liked it on the whole.

The pitch was just to my taste.
Everyone can find peace and quiet here and I have rarely encountered such nice staff on pitches. The staff try to fulfill all wishes and always have an open ear for their guests.

Direct location, on the water. Friendly staff - everything very well organized. Good cycle path network for beautiful bike tours e.g. to Lübbenau. Very clean and modern sanitary facilities. Very good gastronomy - very friendly staff here too.

Very nice, family campsite in a beautiful landscape
A beautifully situated campsite directly on the Spree river. Friendly check-in - very friendly staff. Nice gastronomy and good bread roll service. All shopping facilities in Burg can be reached by bike. Everything very clean and well-kept (sanitary facilities!). Electricity is "counted" - we find this fairer than high daily flat rates. Beautiful surroundings with many excursion possibilities.

All in all a lovely stay. we enjoyed the peace and quiet and access to cycle paths. As described in the cons, we found the metered electricity billing and access to the sanitary facilities unnecessarily complicated. We would still come back though.

WE recreation + extension
This was our second time at the campsite. It was great again. Cycling was our main activity. The campsite is great, the restaurant is also to be recommended. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

A nice campsite in itself, but:
we already booked a large comfort pitch in January, according to the Internet comfort pitches, approx. 110-130m² (pitches A1 - A7, B2 - B13 and C1-C8), incl. water and waste water connection
with electricity connection. This was also confirmed to us.
When we arrived in... September, we were allocated a pitch that was so narrow that an awning could not be pitched without using the neighboring pitch. In addition, the access road to the neighboring pitch ran across this pitch and the use of the pitch was therefore severely restricted. When we asked if there was another large pitch available, this was initially denied and we were offered a smaller pitch. However, we didn't want this and after extensive discussion, suddenly pitches in area C were free after all. We drove to our pitch with an electricity meter in a cucumber bucket. The electricity was connected via a Harting plug connection just above the ground on the neighboring pitch. There were also water and waste water connections here, which could also be used, but could only be reached via a muddy path through a strip of bushes. (see pictures)
As this site was a stopover on our trip and we were unable to get a pitch on other campsites in the Spreewald after making telephone inquiries at short notice, we stayed for the period we had booked.
The actually nice campsite (clean sanitary facilities, bread roll service and quiet location near Burg) loses out due to the features stated on the Internet, which are often not available on site.
When I pointed out when paying that both the closures and the size of the pitch (100 square meters if you like) did not correspond to the booked features, I was told that this was true, but that the pitch was quieter than the A area, so the surcharge for a large pitch was charged.

The sanitary facilities in area A are sometimes a little small when the site is fully booked and at peak times. (However, there is another, larger sanitary building a little further on).
Pure relaxation
A very well-kept site in the middle of the unspoiled nature of the Spreewald. The staff are very friendly, the sanitary facilities are very clean and the entire site is very well maintained. So are the lawns - no carpets or mats are allowed. The site is parceled out and also overgrown. There is also... a small harbor for your own canoes or canoes that can be rented on site, as well as a nice little restaurant with an extensive menu. Bread roll service every morning.
The small town of Burg is within walking distance and also offers plenty of variety.
A very good starting point for water and bicycle hikers!

Unfortunately, I am ashamed to have recommended this place to my pensioner friends.
I give the rating for this campsite with slight sadness. Unfortunately, I am ashamed to have recommended this campsite to my pensioner friends.

I invited a retired couple I met on vacation to our beautiful Spreewald and recommended this campsite to them. They spent five days there. Both are experienced... campers and have never had such unpleasant experiences as here.

During their stay, they were checked three times by the people in charge:

On the first day, they were asked to open the awning more, even though everything was already open as it was summer.
On the second day, they were accused of setting off firecrackers. The manageress, who was allegedly lying in the room next to reception with a fever of 40 degrees, claims to have heard this. It was not until the next day that this suspicion was voiced.
On the third day, they were harassed again, this time with the claim that a day guest had showered here. They were then also told to fold up their lawn carpet.
If camping is all about regulations and false suspicions, this is the place to be, but otherwise absolutely not recommended.

I hope that this review is taken as constructive feedback and leads to necessary improvements.

Very good service on arrival and throughout our stay in Spreewald. A pleasant surprise for us was meeting with Ms. Joanna - an extremely competent and kind person who was always ready to help and give advice on tourist topics - where to go and what to visit.
The camping site is well located, from where you can go cycling kayaking or walking.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Spent a long weekend here with friends at the end of April. The site is a great starting point for all kinds of activities, whether by bike, boat or on foot. The nearby thermal baths invite you to relax after the strenuous part.

Very nice place, clean, staff 1A, some guests are apparently not fluent in German, because they can neither read on the homepage, nor on the handout you get at check-in, that mats in the awning or in front of the Womo are not desired. Nevertheless, some do not comply. It's good for these people that... I don't have the domiciliary rights - they should leave immediately!!! The owner tries to provide an attractive pitch for everyone and some ignore his wishes. It's a shame that not everyone is understanding.
We liked it very much and can recommend the place with a clear conscience. Thank you Anja & Wolfgang from Thuringia

Wonderful in the Spreewald
A beautiful campsite directly on the Spreewald rivers with its own jetty, idyllically situated on the outskirts of Burg.
The pitches are meadow pitches, surrounded by large trees, so that you can stand in the shade in summer.
Burg is within walking distance with all shopping facilities and tourist infrastructure....
We cycled around everything and were able to go on really great bike tours in all directions.
The restaurant must have been good, it was very difficult to get a seat there

Peace and comfort in the Spreewald
The site is beautifully situated and offers vacationers a wide range of leisure activities. The site is ideal as a starting point for canoe and boat trips as well as extensive cycling tours or hikes. The towns of Lübbenau and Cottbus are well worth a visit and can be reached quickly by car or public... transport. The town of Lübbenau is particularly worth a visit. Burg is easy to reach by bike or on foot. The individual pitches could do with a little more maintenance and the Duchhaus is a little far away, depending on the pitch. The sanitary facilities are in exemplary clean condition. Showering costs nothing extra and is included in the daily price. Bread rolls must always be ordered at reception the day before. The only thing that annoyed me was the pricing in the on-site restaurant - portions were too small and the price was quite high. A family of four can easily spend between 60 and 80 euros. But of course that has nothing to do with the quality of the place.

Nice campsite, although there are no showers in area A and not enough toilets in this area. I think there is certainly room for improvement.
The campsite operators and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The restaurant is highly recommended. We ate there several times and found everything very tasty.
We would love to come back.

Good location as a starting point for all kinds of tours on foot, by bike or on the waterways. Well-kept site, very quiet with a few exceptions (see disadvantages), good restaurant, well-maintained and clean sanitary facilities

Campsite in a very good location
The access road and the disposal station are very narrow and not easily passable for larger camping vehicles.
The operator seems to like technical "gimmicks"?
The automatic barrier system (access to the "A" area) is a slight imposition and not so much fun for the guests camping in the area in question....
Vehicles and caravans often maneuver for minutes in front of this technical masterpiece.
The barrier is supposed to recognize the vehicle registration number of the registered guest and then open.
(as it works perfectly with the highway video toll in Austria, for example)
However, this is not at all the case at the barrier system (access to the "A" area) at the campsite.
Registered motorhomes or caravans arrive, stand in front of the barrier and nothing happens. Then the maneuvering starts!
A few centimetres back (very fine, in a right-angled bend and with the caravan on the hook!), a few centimetres to the left, forward again, back again, a few centimetres to the right, and so on.
A real imposition, or better said, an absolute shit......!
As a special "treat", an employee of the campsite came with an old car number plate and "danced" with the plate in front of the barrier camera to get the technology to open.
This happened for real and REAL with 9 out of 10 vehicles!
For the campers standing right next to this technical marvel, it was a real nuisance!
There is an urgent need for improvement here!

The site was fully booked on the holiday weekends. Hence short waiting times at the toilets and showers. But you're on vacation and have the time.

A campsite in one of the most beautiful vacation regions in Germany. It is quietly situated on the edge of Burg. We didn't notice anything of the tourist hustle and bustle on the holiday weekends. On the weekdays there was very nice quiet paddling. Boats are available directly at the campsite at reception. Warm bread rolls every day. We would love to come back.

We spent a few days paddling there. The paddling access is very convenient. From the CP there are many beautiful routes for paddling

The check-in went very quickly despite the large rush.

The electricity bill is charged via a magnetic card, at the end you get back the unused money.

The sanitary facilities... and showers are state of the art.

There is a restaurant on the campsite with typical Spreewald cuisine. The staff are a little overstretched when there is a large crowd.

There is also a small bathing area in the Spree right next to the campsite
