Location and equipment of the bungalow: Fridge too small, Cushions for the garden chairs too big and for the lounger too small. The protective caps were missing from the lounger. Entrance door without blackout. Only 3 dining chairs for 5 people. Only 1 tea towel. Children's prams in poor overall condition. Noise from music at the kiosk disturbing.

I have not found any points of criticism

Child-friendly and dog-friendly. There are poop bag dispensers everywhere with corresponding waste bins, great.

It seems impossible to get a permanent pitch, but this speaks for the popularity of the site.

That the journey there and back was not so long

There were no disadvantages for us, the train that passes by every half hour and sounds its horn is part of it and after 1 day you can no longer hear it.

Food in the restaurant is okay. Campsite rather dry and hard, so that the pegs hardly go into the ground (but this is probably more due to the dryness)

When there is no train, it is super quiet and idyllic. The operators are extremely friendly and always ready to help. The bikes, Kettcars and scooters are available free of charge for all children.

The Ruhr Valley Railway whistles every half hour in front of the level crossing in the middle of the CP.

The campsite is in a wonderful location. Very quiet, you can really enjoy it. The castle view and the view in general are particularly beautiful. Pitches are very tidy and perfect for awnings or just for camping. Staff incredibly friendly and the neighbors too. Sanitary facilities perfect. Delicious restaurant, also very friendly. It was a very nice weekend. We will be back 🤩

"Don't like" is the wrong term. But perhaps the playground could be renovated a little or activities for children could be expanded. Nothing negative to say, more as a suggestion.

Very nice operators and the staff are always in a good mood and friendly. Clean sanitary facilities. Beautiful pitches. The whole atmosphere on the site is great, you feel right at home here.

There was nothing for us to complain about.

We like the peace, serenity and friendliness on the course. The course team really makes an effort for everyone and has an open ear for everything.

New showers are always great. Personally, however, I don't need 10-minute showers for 1 euro. For environmental reasons alone, a 2nd option should perhaps be offered here. Maybe 5 minutes for 50 cents or so.

De plek was heel ruim met uitzicht op de roer. Elektra en water op de standplaats. Op loopafstand van de natte ruimten en het restaurant. Zeer vriendelijke personeels leden overal.

We thought it was great that it was possible to get a pitch for one night a quarter of an hour before the reception closed. 2. super friendly reception staff and helpful campsite operators 3. the restaurant was understaffed and therefore long waiting times .... This fixed mobile home is actually designed for 5 people. As there were only two of us, we had more than enough space. It was also great that we had our own bathroom. It was great that there was absolute accessibility.

Beautiful place directly on the Ruhr with a view of the castle. Very friendly and helpful staff. The boss personally guides you to the pitch and directs you when maneuvering. We have never experienced this at any other campsite. TOP

We love the open nature here at the campsite. Everyone is welcome and you can tell. The wash houses are always extremely well maintained. The free dishwasher and the great sauna are particularly noteworthy here at our favorite campsite. The whole team simply enjoy their work and feel at home. You can tell.

There is nothing, because if something bothers someone then you go to the reception and you will be helped ;) I always say only speaking people can be helped ;)

The train honks several times every half hour. From early in the morning until late in the evening. In the washrooms you only have warm water sporadically to brush your teeth, and then only if you move your hand constantly and then only very little.

Everything from the reception to the briefing on the pitch. The service (from bread rolls to bike repairs) is unbeatable. Friendliness: more is not possible. This also applies to the restaurant (good service, delicious dishes, great value for money). As a highlight: as maiden riders we were given a bottle of sparkling wine.

Cycle paths. Admittedly, we are used to Dutch conditions, but there is still room for improvement here. But it's not the campsite's fault. On the contrary, we were given some great tips again.

Quiet, well connected even without a car, many excursions possible, fantastic natural panorama, super suitable for families.

The camping felt small and cozy, although there was enough room, even during the holiday season. Placed in the middle of the nature, with a view on the castle and near the town, this is a camping we will definitely revisit.

If I have to name one thing, although it is besides the small river, at that time we were not allowed to go in because of the current. But this was not the campings fault.

It is a fantastically beautiful campsite, well-kept and clean. Events, such as the Kohlrabifest, are lovingly organized.

Natural surroundings, beautiful area, nice people, good hiking opportunities. Shopping facilities on site and nearby supermarkets about 3km away. Good restaurant on site , café on site .

Some of the pitches have a hump over which the caravan has to pass, for example. Everything is feasible, but it can be difficult to park and unpark. Topic touch down etc . Larger vehicles can have problems. No problem at all with small vehicles.

We particularly liked the relaxed and uncomplicated atmosphere. Everyone is on first-name terms, which creates a family feeling. Although it was our first time there, we immediately felt like we were part of a community. The site is well-kept and clean and the staff are very friendly. There was nothing missing in our rented trailer

There's not really anything negative to report. The barrier times at the level crossing take away a bit of the feeling of freedom, especially if you are out and about during the day and only return after 6 p.m., the car has to stay outside. You survive it, but of course it would be nicer if there was another way of doing it.
