"Irgendwo im Nirgendwo - Wir waren auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht auf dem Platz. Der Platz liegt am Ende einer kleinen Straße, daher sollte man sich an den Hinweisschildern zum Campingplatz orientieren, wenn man auf der Moorfield Lane ist. Der Platz liegt ziemlich weit ab vom Schuß, dafür findet man hier aber auch Ruhe. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und ging schnell und problemlos. Wir wurden zum zugeteilten Platz begleitet und konnten dort noch zwischen drei Nachbarplätze auswählen. Zwei Erwachsene, zwei Hunde, Wohnwagen, PKW und Strom für 22 Pfund ist in der Nebensaison scheinbar ein Standartpreis in England, das haben wir auf der Rundreise auf fast jedem Campingplatz gezahlt. Duschen kostet 20p für 4min. Die Zeit und das Wasser läuft in dem Moment, in dem das Geld eingeworfen wird. Also vorher ausziehen und sicherheitshalber 20p extra mitnehmen, falls es nicht reicht. Der Platz ist sehr sauber und strukturiert aufgebaut. Die Plätze sind geschottert, immer zwei Plätze nebeneinander und rundherum Rasenfläche. Die Stromsäulen stehen immer Zentral für mehrere Plätze. Daher kann auch mal ein längeres Kabel nötig sein. Die Plätze sind teilweise sehr eben. Auf unserem Platz stand der Wohnwagen auf anhieb komplett in Waage. Bei anderen Plätze habe ich aber gesehen, dass unter einem Rad untergelegt wurde. Vereinzelte Bäume stehen zwischen den Plätzen, aber eher freie Fläche. Daher ist Sat-Empfang gut gegeben. Wlan war auf unserem Platz nicht mehr möglich (Signal kam mal und war auch gleich wieder weg). Sanitärgebäude sieht von außen sehr gut aus. Innen einfacher Britischer Standart. Sauber und damit OK (siehe auch Bilder) Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in ca. 5km ein Spar und in ca. 8km ein Lidl. Ansonsten bei der Rezeption das übliche nötigste. Für Hundebesitzer auch sehr gut geeignet, Dogywalk gleich außerhalb des CP, auf dem Platz gibt es auch eine Hundedusche (außen). Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder

You can be assured of a very friendly atmosphere at Wombleton, a small Caravan & Camping Park, personally run by the Willoughby family. Wombleton village is ideally placedin the north yorkshire, just a few miles from the picturesque town of …Helmsley, and the surrounding area offers an array of amenities, activities and attractions. The local pub is just only one mile away. Our pitches are of a generous size - gravel or grass. Concrete bases for motorhomes, all caravan and motorhome pitches have 10amp electric hook ups. We have a new modern, clean toilet block with a disabled/family room. The facilities include power showers, hairdryers, shaver and power points for your own appliances. Both the ladies & gents toilets have two individual private cubicles with hand basins. There is an indoor washing up room with ample hot water. We are pleased to offer our guests a small shop which stocks general groceries, a few caravan accessories, gas exchange and charcoal for the barbecue. Next to the shop is a small information room with lending library and brochures, open day and night.
