- Dave D.July 2015Pure family campsiteThe campsite is located just outside Vendres Plage and is easy to reach by car. It's a nice, quiet place with lots of trees that provide plenty of shade. The beach is about a 10-minute walk through a "half" drained marshland, harmless but not nice to look at. The bakery, supermarket and sanitary facilities... on site are excellent. The site is purely a family campsite, not for a few friends like us. On the negative side: You are only allowed in the pool with tight-fitting swimming trunks. If you don't, you will be thrown out. From 23:00 you are only allowed to park your car outside, which is not a problem in itself, but due to the lack of parking spaces you are directed to a somewhat dark and remote alley. We only just managed to prevent our car from being broken into at night. Alcohol: During the day and in the evening you can have a beer or a bottle of wine with your meal without hesitation, at night in front of the tent with a whiskey or gin you will be warned by security.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Th. K.July 2012What a shame to lose the most beautiful days of the year - Camping Les Vagues / Valras Plage - we had rented a pitch at Camping Les Vagues for 17 days. We had asked "Thomas" in advance whether it was a quiet site. They confirmed this to us. We then paid the advance payment in full, as requested. On arrival,... we were allocated an absolutely unusable, completely sloping pitch. It wasn't until I became massive that something else suddenly became available. We made ourselves at home on the campsite, which was completely full of mobile homes, and were actually looking forward to a nice vacation. Until all hell broke loose at 9.30 in the evening. The entertainment at Camping Les Vagues and the neighboring campsite were competing to see who was louder. This noise disturbance was to be the companion every evening until midnight. Children were crying, the guests were aggressive because it was simply unbearable. A complaint was completely unsuccessful. Although we had closed all the windows of the mobile home despite the heat, even watching TV was impossible, it was far too loud. In addition to the noise of the disco - by the way, also in the morning from 9.00 to 13.00 (but not daily) - there was also the noise from the mobile homes, which were mostly occupied by young people. The security walked around the site but there was no reaction. It was simply unbearably loud all the time. Now I also realized why prepayment was mandatory. It wasn't just us, but several other guests fled early despite having paid for their pitch. Without prepayment, every 2nd guest is sure to leave the next day. A few tips about the beach 400 m away. The distance is 600 m at best, but can also be 1 km depending on the pitch. You first walk along a road with litter bins and then come to the dune via a stinking water basin. The beach itself is OK and well maintained. We were on the site with a motorhome. The toilets were so badly cleaned that we never used them. There were no toilet seats or toilet paper anywhere and we could only dispose of our waste in the normal toilet as there was no toilet discharge system. I think that's very cheeky! This is what you call a campsite with **** (4 stars). I'm not a complainer and I know that you have to make compromises in the high season. But what is on offer there defies description. The ADAC states that the mobile home/camping split is about 35/65. This is no longer true. In the summer of 2012, 75% of the site was covered with mobile homes. I don't want to go into the many other things, as these only bothered me personally, such as car traffic until at least midnight in the middle of the pitches, a football pitch with metal grilles to amplify the noise, a poorly stocked supermarket with moon prices, etc. I can't recommend the site in any way, at least in the high season, and will give Camping Les Vagues a wide berth. I believe that this also applies to the neighboring campsites. It's no better there either. We booked the site because we were very late this year and all the other sites were already full. If I had known what to expect beforehand, I would have been better off staying at home.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Verena T.September 2011We had hoped for more peace and quiet at the end of the season, because the neighboring area offered extremely loud music entertainment every day until at least midnight, which drowned out our own nightly entertainment. No idea how small children and senior citizens are supposed to relax. We were also... a bit shocked at how close together the accommodation is, as there is no privacy. The access to the beach is a public road, which is very unsightly - 400 meters to the beach is quite a long way...! The staff are friendly. Although dogs are not allowed in the accommodation, one or two dogs have to wait whimpering and howling for their masters, or are allowed to leave their markings unattended in front of other people's huts. Very annoying if you step outside the door without thinking...! Nevertheless - very beautiful beach and lots to see in the hinterland!Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Eberhard M.April 2011Well! The site consists of 80% mobile homes. In between are a few pitches for campers. The clientele is accordingly - no typical campers. The swimming pool with slides and waves is good. BUT: Extremely high chlorine levels! You won't find any peace and quiet on the site. Because of the mobile homes,... little attention is paid to the sanitary facilities, no toilet paper, no soap, no paper towels for washing your hands in between. Reception is friendly but helpless. If you want to swim in the sea, it's a 500 - 700 meter walk through the dunes.Automatikusan lefordítva.
