No water pressure, which makes it impossible to take a shower or wash dishes. I also think €7 for a load of laundry is overpriced.
Luckily, it was only for 4 nights
But as for spending the whole summer vacation there, it would be too crowded for my taste, and let's not forget the water issue either.

There's something for kids of all ages, and every child can find an activity to enjoy. Despite the huge crowds, we were always able to find a nice spot on the beach, no matter what time of day. The ocean was always beautiful and clean.

Many of the campsites are in direct sunlight and very uneven. The two places to shop are extremely overpriced.
A very large space with plenty of room to grow
For us personally, the campground ended up being a bit too big. We had a site in the 3000 section. It was about 500 meters to the beach and around 200 meters to the restrooms—both of which were perfectly fine with us.

Unfortunately, the restrooms weren’t always clean. However, we don’t want to blame... that entirely on the cleaning staff. Every guest could leave their area clean. What we really missed, though, were squeegees in the shower area. So after showering, you’d often be standing in the water left by the person before you, which wasn’t particularly pleasant.

In the evenings, you could wind down the day comfortably in one of the bars. There was regularly live music or other entertainment programs. The prices for cocktails and drinks were absolutely fair.

The two pool areas are beautifully designed, though a bit too crowded for our taste. If you’re looking for action, you’ll get your money’s worth at the campground: jet skis, boat rentals, water skiing, and dolphin tours can all be booked right on-site, so you don’t have to leave the grounds.

Outside the campground, however, there aren’t many options. If you want to go out and about or do some shopping, you should head to Umag or Novigrad.

Overall, the campground is very well-maintained and offers a huge range of recreational activities—especially for families and guests who enjoy large vacation resorts. For our taste, though, the next campground could be a bit smaller and quieter.

The only minor drawback is the higher prices at the local store. On the other hand, this is understandable—the store is right on the campground grounds, so you have everything literally at your fingertips and don’t have to drive anywhere. You pay a little extra for this convenience, which is common at similarly equipped campgrounds.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely amazing campground!
Camping Park Umag impressed us in every way. The campground is beautifully maintained, clean, and perfectly equipped. The campsites are spacious, the restrooms are cleaned regularly, and the entire grounds have a very pleasant atmosphere. A big plus are the pools with water slides, which our kids enjoyed... every day, as well as the great entertainment programs. The sea is clean, the beaches are well-maintained, and the entry into the water is comfortable even for younger children. The campground has everything you need—shops, restaurants, a bakery, and sports facilities—so there’s almost no need to go anywhere else.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and are taking home lots of wonderful memories. If you’re looking for a top-notch family campground in Croatia, we can wholeheartedly recommend Camping Park Umag. We’ll definitely be happy to return here!

Large camping site - a bit too big for us though.

The camping pitches are not that big, we couldn't park our car by the tent as there was no more room.

We thought the campsite was very worn, both in the adult pool and children's pool by the reception, the bottoms were folded when you walked on the... bottom. Especially in the children's pool.

Sunbeds cost 6 euros per piece per day and parasols 8 euros per piece per day. We are a family of 6, and it would have cost us 335 kr per day. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to bring our own camping sunbeds to the pool, as we had to rent them.

There are electric scooters everywhere very fast - both children and adults. You have to be very careful if you have small children with you. It can quickly become dangerous.

The train inside the campsite that runs around costs 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children. It was free once, I heard.

They have to pay for everything, but I don't think the standard is up to par.

Unfortunately we won't be back.

Not recommended if you have a dog, since there are a lot of burrs on the site and they always get stuck in the fur! The campsites are very uneven, and there’s no sewage system on site!
Without a car, you can’t get to another town, and taxis are very expensive!
We cut our stay short after 4 days and drove to another campground.
The “Premium” campsite is full of red dirt—there’s no proper grass or anything like that.

There are designated beaches for dogs , but dogs are everywhere. I was on a small beach when suddenly two huge dogs appeared—without muzzles. One of them almost peed on my towel.
A Great, Fun Campground with Dog-Related Issues
For that kind of money, they should guarantee better safety. A dog will either pee on you or bite you.

The restaurants offer a wide range of choices and good value for money. The different beach sections offer great sunbathing lawns or natural beach sections. The immediate surroundings of the campsite, with the towns of Umag, Novigrad and Poreĉ, offer a variety of excursion destinations and there is plenty to do. The access to the sea is well laid out and the water quality is excellent. The campsite is very large and has a good network of roads and paths.

The pitches do not have enough gravel. This leads to the pitches becoming muddy when it rains. The cleaning staff then can't keep up with cleaning the sanitary buildings. The sports program for adults is clearly in need of improvement, I didn't have the impression that enough qualified trainers were employed.
Great place in beautiful surroundings
Great place with lots of entertainment value for all age groups. The location of the campsite is perfect for various excursions, whether by car, bike or on foot.

Worst Camping Nightmare at Camping Park Umag!
OUR 2025 stay at Camping Park Umag was a total disaster, the worst camping experience ever. The camper pitch they gave us was a joke—blocked by a tree and a lamp, making parking impossible. I complained at reception, and they offered three even worse pitches,... like they were mocking me. The pitch I ended up with, outrageously overpriced, was 12-15 meters from a deafening national road. Non-stop traffic noise ruined every moment, day and night. No hot water in facilities for the entire stay. When I begged for help, the rude staff sneered and told me to drag my dishes and shower stuff to another facility. Disgusting attitude!

The worst part? My son was injured on their football pitch—a ball smashed into his head, leaving his eye bloody and swollen. It was evening, so we rushed to the nearest hospital in Izola’s (Slovenia), stuck there all night, and were slapped with a €900 bill. I pleaded with the manager, Thomas, to at least waive that day’s fee since we were in the hospital for 24 hours. His response? A heartless shrug, telling me to hunt down the kid who kicked the ball. He didn’t care about the hot water or the unbearable road noise. He smirked and said, “Write a bad review.” What a smug jerk!

The staff were stressed, useless, and downright nasty, ignoring every complaint. This place is a rip-off, filthy, unsafe, and a complete waste of money. Save yourself the misery—avoid Camping Park Umag at all costs! Even if it were free, I’d rather sleep on the street. Thank goodness we had other stops planned. This hellhole deserves zero stars—stay away!

Large space right by the sea
Camping Park Umag is a large site with nice big pitches. The pool area is spacious. What is missing here is a pool for smaller children (water height approx. 1.20 cm) and slides for older children. The stores are very well distributed on the site, but the supermarket is very expensive. (approx. 20% -... 40%). Everyone can find a spot on the beach, but a continuous barrier between swimmers and the boat would have been nice here too. We only met very nice staff. The staff at the Canova Pool entrance deserve special mention. Friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand. Top! Unfortunately, the cars park wildly on green areas to shorten the way to the sea or pool (the paths are not far here). Or they park on green spaces to make the large pitches even bigger. What was really annoying were the e-scooters and the corresponding driving style (too fast through pedestrians, no lights, 8-year-olds driving at 20 km/h through crowds of pedestrians) and the cleanliness. Perhaps larger wash houses and more staff would be a solution. There is no lunch break here, it is recommended from 14:00 - 16:00, nobody sticks to it and it is not checked.

Big distances, bad location and quality of our second pitch.
Nice, big camping village
We stayed there for 5 nights. The campsite area is very large, so there are big distances to cover by walk/bicycle. The infrastructure is very good, everything can be found inside the area. The grocery store is very expensive, other stores, restaurants are acceptable. There are a lot of opportunities... to discover, very long varying beach. The swimming pool areas are superb, the kids loved them. The quality, size of classic pitches are varying. We have booked 2 pitches. One of them was absolutely ok without problems. The second had very bad location. It was not even on the map, next to footpath and waste bins, manhole covers on the pitch. If we had only this pitch, it would be a negative experience.

The site is beautifully situated on a bay and has 2 pools, which are beautifully situated and in good condition.
Most cars drive far too fast on the campsite itself, and the speed bumps don't help. Electric scooters drive wildly across the site at top speed.

The staff were friendly and helpful, both in the restaurant and at reception. However, you have to allow for some waiting time.

Rating Umag Camping
We have booked a premium pitch. According to the description, these are pitches in the second row to the sea.
Unfortunately, we were on a premium pitch behind the toilet block. We had a view of the chemical toilet, the camper van sink and the garbage cans. Every morning at breakfast, the garbage truck... came and many departing motorhomes .... delicious smells for breakfast... You could see the sea through a narrow slit between the mini stores.
Our premium pitch was also on the main road... there are lots and lots of cars driving there all day.... until late at night. It only quietens down around midnight... but there is heavy traffic again at 7 in the morning...
Our complaint went unheard....
Conclusion: We didn't really recover.... much annoyed about the conditions on the site.... We will never consider this place again!!!

3 week stay for the 7th time, experience this time.
Here for the 7th time with caravan for 3 weeks.
Never been served so unfriendly at the reception, strikingly the young lady very bad, as if we wanted something personally from her.
We arrived 2 days earlier than planned, had to go to the other pitch which was fine with the statement that if our pitch... was free earlier we could go on it, but the next day we weren't allowed because the pitch wasn't free according to the system, they didn't even bother to change it.
We always adapted the sanitary facilities to the guests who couldn't behave, the cleaning ladies were constantly cleaning but with the amount of people it wasn't possible to keep everything clean.
Our daughter visited the kids club which was great fun for her, thanks to the girls and boys there.
In comparison to the last few years, the entertainers didn't offer so much in the evenings except for the children's disco, always the same magic show and live music, 1 dance show in 3 weeks, children's cinema was great for the children (3 movies offered during our camping time) and was well attended.
The new pool is well done but smells of chlorine, probably due to the guests.
There are many sections of beach and you can always find a spot.
Despite everything, we like it here because we always meet the repeat offenders here, we would come back again for that reason alone.
We would only shop outside because the prices on site are very high.

Very large campsite
We stayed at the campsite with our caravan for 6 days at the beginning of June 2024. The area of the campsite is huge and the pitch areas are designed differently, e.g. more or less shady pitches. The selection of free pitches was very large. The areas between the main path and the beach were more crowded,... but we were able to find good pitches here too. We opted for a pitch above the main path. The occupancy there was still very low. The pitches are often slightly inclined towards the sea, and some pitches are a little uneven overall. However, during our stay they tried to level out some of the unevenness with gravel and a vibrating plate. We were traveling with a dog, and although there is a dog meadow some distance away, this was not a problem for us. Clean pebble beach, clean terraces by the sea, clear water, everything was ok. Two pools complement the water sports facilities. We were able to relax well, which was probably also due to the low occupancy rate. The sanitary facilities were cleaned regularly. There is no storage space for shampoo, shower gel etc. in the showers. A small shelf on the wall would be desirable. The campsite has several restaurants and fast food outlets. We ate in the Laguna restaurant. The staff were friendly and always attentive. Since our last stay in Croatia two years ago, the prices (formerly Kuna now Euro) have risen considerably. We had a good fish dish and a decent plate of cevapcici for around 14 euros per dish, you can't complain. Otherwise it felt like the prices were over 20 euros per dish. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Communication was good in German and English. All in all, we liked it, but due to the size of the campsite, we are glad that we no longer need to go on vacation in the high season.

I don't even know where to start, the sanitary facilities were a disaster, the staff were just rude when you raised one or two points. The place can't deliver what it promises. The water in the pool was murky and you could smell the chlorine on the other side of the road. The traffic on the site was... heavy, but the fact that the staff didn't follow the rules either is just great.
You even get harassed on your own pitch asking why you don't want to book a boat trip etc.

The supermarket near the Lavadazone is simply beyond words because of the lack of cleanliness etc.

The pitch was simply hopelessly overcrowded and more and more people were left on it.

On the whole, simply never again.

Don't take everything too seriously
After about 3 weeks stay we can not fully agree with the negative reviews. As the site has over 2500 units (pitches and rental properties) and only very few per season were not satisfied, the number of reviews confirms this. There are some older but also renovated wash houses e.g. No. 1/4/5/9 which are... kept clean daily by several cleaners. In the bay near the sewage treatment plant, the blue flag flies for good water quality (???).
It cannot be denied that there are a lot of cars/motorbikes/bicycles/e-scooters and especially e-bike speeders on this size of site. What bothered us most were the regular deliveries from supermarkets and restaurants at 5 o'clock in the morning.
It should have been clear to everyone when planning and booking that this is a very large resort.
Where many vacationers come together, there are always a few exceptions who don't know what to do with noise and cleanliness.

Staff not very customer-oriented, requests are generally not processed only rejected! The entrances to the dog beach are sometimes "unhealthy". Waste garbage cans for the dog's bags are almost non-existent !!!
Disaster
Staff not very helpful, our request for a change of pitch was refused and nobody cared why. The path next to our pitch is unusable due to broken branches, which is why everything that lives behind us has to walk across our pitch. The sanitary facilities are filthy because people drag in soil and leaves... etc. with their various pines. Toilet paper balls around etc. The cleaning staff are definitely overworked !!!
The dog costs 100 euros for 12 days, but the access is in the very last Winckel and the stone mountains in front of it require a lot of humor from dog owners, because you have to climb like a goat to get into the sea.
As these were just my impressions from the first day, I would say: No more !!!
