Great place and vacation in Tisens
The Tisens Campground is in an absolutely fantastic location near Lana, between Bolzano and Merano. This family-run campground is very modern, and the restrooms are very clean and are cleaned regularly. The staff at the front desk and throughout the campground are super friendly and knowledgeable. You... can buy delicious fresh bread rolls and other items at the on-site shop every day without needing to order in advance. The panoramic campsites are especially recommended, as they offer a beautiful view of the mountain panorama. We were there from June 29 to July 4, 2026, and are thrilled with this highly recommended campground. We’d love to go back there again.

The site is very clean, and the shade (for the “Comfort” sites) provided by mulberry trees is well-designed.
The restroom facilities are clean and well-maintained.
Waste disposal works smoothly and is conveniently set up.
The pool area is an absolute highlight.

The restaurant:
The daily specials were... generous and flavorful, but the pizzas were too chewy (dough) and not seasoned enough for our taste.
It was also a bit confusing that some dishes on the menu were only available at lunchtime, while others were only available in the afternoon—it would be better to offer a “lunch” or “dinner” menu listing only the dishes available at specific times of day.

The staff is consistently very friendly and helpful.

The overall positive impression is marred by the many dogs—some of which are poorly trained or not trained at all—that bark at anything that moves. It was noticeable that this was often the case with the pets of guests from Switzerland. The dog owners, of course, found it amusing that their pets were “chatting” so loudly (and for so long)—unfortunately at the expense of guests seeking peace and quiet.

For us, it was an experience with some nice moments, but we won’t be coming back (especially because of the many dogs).

Very clean and well-kept place
We stayed at the campsite for the first time from June 6 to June 10. We received a very friendly welcome right from the start.
The site is very well maintained. The pool area and all the sanitary facilities were always very clean.
There is a small store where you can get fresh bread rolls in the morning without having to order in advance.
The place is very quiet. You can relax very well here.
We can only recommend the site.

An oasis
We had actually planned to start our 14-day tour at our favorite campsite in Lana, but hadn't taken the Whitsun vacations into account.
After a few unsuccessful calls to campsites in the area, the AI suggested Camping Tisens and we were lucky. One last free pitch for 3 nights.
The first telephone contact... with Birgit at reception was super nice and friendly, and when we arrived late due to the heavy traffic, the senior manager gave us an extremely warm welcome and made the check-in completely unbureaucratic, asking us to turn up the next morning to complete the formalities.
The restaurant is great, the extensive sunbathing lawn with the three pool areas very well maintained.
The whole complex is stylish and well maintained. You're tempted to get your golf clubs out on the lawn!
The disposal of the cassette toilet on site is only possible in a vending machine for € 3.00 - I don't think that's so nice...
Outside at the disposal station, however, it is also possible free of charge after a 100-meter walk.
At night there is a heavenly silence, you are woken up early by the chirping of the birds.
We also found the neighbors and other camping guests to be very pleasant and considerate, although there were also many families with children and dogs.
In this constellation, you often have to prove your ability to take things in your stride.
Rarely have we been able to experience such a beautiful place...we'll be back.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the disposal of the cassette toilet. In fact, we intentionally offer two options: the automatic cleaning service for a fee, as well as free disposal at the service station. This way, everyone can decide for themselves which option best suits their needs.

We are always impressed by the great campsites in South Tyrol. This year we enjoyed a few days in Tisens and it was truly unique. A super well-kept, modern site with a Mediterranean flair, wonderful! With a Limoncello Spritz and a view of the apple trees and mountains, you don't want to go home. We had... a cozy vanlife pitch that suited us perfectly, we had enough space and a great view. Tisens and Prissian are easily and quickly accessible by bike and on foot and offer many places to stop for refreshments. The bar and restaurant at the campsite are also highly recommended. I really enjoyed the morning and late-night swims in the floodlit pool. Unfortunately, it was difficult to use the pool to cool off and splash around during the day, as the "poolside jumpers" made life very difficult from all sides. It would be very nice if there was a little more consideration despite the pool being used as an outdoor pool. But that's complaining on a very high level, because otherwise there's nothing to criticize. Very friendly, helpful staff and a noticeable care and love with which the facility is designed and looked after. Thank you for this wonderful vacation!

A scenic dream
We were in South Tyrol for the first time and booked a panorama seat. The lower pitches are very cramped, the upper panorama and XXL pitches are very spacious. The hit are the new sanitary facilities, always clean and well maintained. There is a restaurant on site which is really very good. Bread roll... service from Tue to Sun. Beautifully situated with a view of the surrounding apple orchards. Unfortunately, this also means traffic noise from the surrounding farmers, some of whom are already driving their tractors at 6.00 am. The pool belongs to a public outdoor pool, which is sometimes very well visited and therefore of course also associated with noise.

We regret that you found the agricultural work in the surrounding orchards and the background noise at the outdoor pool disturbing. Especially in the summer months - despite the generally quiet and manageable atmosphere of our campsite - there can be a little more liveliness. Very nice camping site, pleasant atmosphere.
The campsite is beautifully situated between apple orchards. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and informed about everything. The swimming pool and the very large sunbathing area are great. The restaurant has very good food. There is also a small store and in the morning you can buy bread rolls and croissants or have breakfast. Our pitch was very nice, we had a great view of the countryside. We liked it very much.

Large pitches available, almost all with a view of the mountains. Good starting point for hikes, dogs also feel very comfortable here.
On-site restaurant with very good cuisine, several other good restaurants and inns within a 15 - 45 minute walk.

The weather, but that's nobody's fault... :-)
Super beautiful! Super well maintained! Super friendly!
The campsite is beautifully situated in the middle of orchards and it's not far to the forest. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the pool is beautifully nestled in them.
The sanitary facilities are always clean and in perfect condition, as is the washing-up area.
The restaurant is highly... recommended. Cuisine with regional food and wines.
Very friendly service.
We were there with 2 dogs, no problem at all. There are plenty of places to walk the dogs within easy reach. Please bring your own bags! The bins in the dog toilets were not always stocked with bags. Fortunately, we had enough of them at Amazon.
We will be back! The next trip is already booked.

The location and facilities of the campsite are wonderful. Very friendly and cordial staff. Sanitary facilities, outdoor facilities and pool very well maintained. Delicious regional food in the restaurant with a great ambience inside and out.
